Welcome to our Movember episode of Nursing Australia…. Yes that’s right its August but this is our Mo-vember (as in the charity with the moustaches) episode.

So why are we doing this now in August? Because Movember is not just one event that happens in November each year, its actually a year-round advocacy organisation that looks out for men’s health - and as they put it: they stop men dying young.

First up, you’ll hear from nurse Hayley Hodgson and her experiences dealing with men’s health in the bush.

Then, for a bit of fun, we’ve got some silly chats we did with the Mo staff on the ground at the Festival of Nursing last week, including their brick throwing contest.

Then finally Dr Zach Seidler cuts a little more in-depth about some of the issues affecting boys and men.

Thanks to everyone who attended the FON, Leith and I and the rest of the APNA team loved meeting you all. Keep your ears to the ground in the coming months for interviews and vox pops we did while there.
