SPOTLIGHT on the Arts is an opportunity for candid conversations with industry professionals, artists, teachers and students about all things performing arts. The Arts team chat to practitioners about their process, career highlights, future ambitions and the role the arts play in their lives.
Each season has a specific Creative and Performing Arts focus and showcases inspirational artists who aim to inspire others to develop their artistry and embed their practice.

Episode 5 welcomes Skye Swaysland and Byron Hurst.
Skye, a talented student embarking on her HSC journey at St Aloysius College Cronulla. With dreams of pursuing a career in art and design, Skye's interests span the realms of art, music, and beach outings with friends. She thrives on challenges, and the Portrait Prize has inspired her artistic endeavours.
Byron is Leader of Learning, Creative and Performing Arts. Byron has a passion for fostering young artists and is the Deputy Chairman of the Board at the Hazelhurst Gallery Board of Directors.
