SPOTLIGHT on the Arts is an opportunity for candid conversations with industry professionals, artists, teachers and students about all things performing arts. The Arts team chat to practitioners about their process, career highlights, future ambitions and the role the arts play in their lives.
Each season has a specific Creative and Performing Arts focus and showcases inspirational artists who aim to inspire others to develop their artistry and embed their practice.

Season 14 of Spotlight on the Arts: focusing on Sydney Catholic Schools HSC Creative and Performing Arts Showcase.
In this episode we hear Sydney Catholic Schools HSC Dance students from:
Marist Sisters’ College Woolwich - Isabella
Bethany College Hurstville - Angel, Celina, Olivia
ViVA Dance program: Southern Cross College Burwood
- Clancy College West Hoxton - Brandon
- Good Samaritan College Hinchinbrook - Lachlan
Major Study Performance dance students will discuss the interpretation of their work
Core Composition student choreographers will explain how they organised their movements and considered the elements of dance to communicate their concept/ intent
Core Performance dancers discuss a core body skill used in their core performance and the safe dance implications and or technical considerations when performing the dance sequence.
These dancers are performing at either the live Sydney Catholic Schools 2024 HSC CAPA Showcase or the Digital Showcase streaming to schools in 2025.
