Welcome to the Destiny Church and Throne podcast. We pray this stirs you into a deeper relationship with Jesus and equips you to live a heaven-on-earth lifestyle daily. Enjoy. And leaders, you flow like that more and more of uh sitting at his feet. But anyway, yeah. Thank you, Jesus. Uh tonight, one of the things that was just on my heart, honestly, to just kind of uh it's something very simple, but it's something that was on my heart honestly. The Lord just really felt impressed upon me, just kind of teach about and just kind of always bring a refresh reminder of truly the foundation of worship and truly just understanding that the one thing is the one thing that's always about uh that's always important is like sometimes like I I said this not too long ago at church. I said sometimes the greatest worship movements are the ones that are invisible to the eyes of man. And what does that mean? It means it's all about the heart. Uh we talk about this a lot, it's something you hear a lot, but it's just the truth. But it's about like, you know, uh foundation of a building, a foundation of a house. No one comes into this church and probably looks and hey, how's a foundation? Pull it up, let me look how beautiful it is. You know what I mean? But but at the same time, that's the most important thing of the entire structure is a foundation. And I think it's the same thing with our relationship with Jesus. And I think that's why Jesus had to tell Samuel that we're gonna div dive into is tell Samuel, like, bro, like I judge the heart, I don't look at appearance. I believe sometimes we can fall victim to that trap uh when we don't look at the real structure, and that's our heart, and that's sometimes why we fall into temptation, or sometimes we allow things to become an idol because we allow our structure to become defile or messed up. And uh so anyway, uh here it is in our notes. If you want to follow me here, you have some notes in, of course. If you're not here, we can always we always say or you can we can email you these notes uh if you want them, you know. But anyway, uh also the next thing would just be also just man, like finding him in your everyday life. And I'm praying that that's what this thing can help you, this teaching right here can help you find him in your everyday life. Like I said, it's not about when you come here to this building or when you just go to some special event. It's truly about finding him in your everyday life. Every day. So anyway, here it is. The foundation of the house, usually hidden, covered up by the design of the house. It's probably the most important thing, but the most unseen thing in the house, our worship is the same, and there it is, the most powerful moments are invisible to the eyes of man. Uh, we've come to the point in our lives that we must value and care more about what God can see and not what man can see. I think we just always got to come to that place of understanding that's what worship is about, and that's what worship is. It's about truly valuing it. I think that's what the Lord taught me, you know, uh as I started, you know, more and more as all of us, as I was like, God, what's worship, man? What is worship? What is praise? I think he always told me that. He's like, you know, it's about truly valuing what I can see. It's about valuing what what's more important to me than anybody else, and that's the heart. And I say it all the time. I say, you know, when I told God, take me deeper to worship. He didn't give me a new playlist to play in my car, he gave me a mirror to put to my heart. He says, Hey, what's in your heart, David? He wasn't like, Hey, here's some new music for you to listen to on your in your car on the way to work, David. No, he said, Hey, here's a mirror, and tell me once again, just like the woman at the well, go and get your husband. Why? Because he had to make sure my foundation is right. He had to make sure my foundation is right, and that's my heart. And that's what it's all about, making sure that our foundation is right. Uh, Ephesians 2.20, uh, the cornerstone is Christ Jesus Himself. You know, that's the cornerstone of it all. It's Christ Jesus Himself. Uh, that is the cornerstone, and there's like a little paragraph here if you want to see it, uh, what you know cornerstone did for a foundation. But, you know, cornerstone was the first stone set in a builder's foundation. You know, uh that is the first thing they set. It set the exact alignment, level, and the dimensions for the rest of the foundation to follow. This is once again, this is truly what a cornerstone is, and this is why Jesus is called the cornerstone himself. Because once again, when you build a foundation, the cornerstone, whatever your cornerstone is, this is what your life's gonna be about. This is what's gonna follow. You hear me? Whatever the cornerstone is, like it says right here, build it says it right here, the alignment, the level, and the dimensions for the rest of the foundation followed the cornerstone that was first laid. It says building without a cornerstone was incredibly hard. And it says the cornerstone was the very first stone laid, establishing the strict, level, exact 90 degrees angle and the alignment for the entire structure. Without it, the walls will uh quickly become crooked. Why do you think Jesus, you know, the beloved word of God says he makes what crooked fast straight? Come on, because Jesus is the cornerstone. Jesus is the cornerstone, making it almost impossible to stack the remaining stone securely. So what or who we worship will become our cornerstone? That's what it's about. So do you hear that? So cornerstone, it's something that's everything else follows it. If your cornerstone's out of whack, guess what? Your structure, the thing you're building is gonna be all out of the whack. So guess what? Hey, uh, ministry, if your ministry seems like, man, my ministry's falling apart. I don't know what my life's falling apart, my family, whatever it could be, you know, uh what my job, things that my job's falling apart, check your cornerstone spiritually. You know, say, God, what am I building my life on right now? What's the cornerstone of my life right now? And that's what, like I said, it's it's worship. Like I said, it's not about music. It's not about what you an instrument you play, it's about the foundation. It's about your cornerstone. What is the cornerstone you have in your life? What are you building on? Uh so anyway, this is 1 Samuel 15, 22. This is a really great, uh, uh, really great uh story, if you can say in the Bible, a really great passage of uh of seeing how if your cornerstone in life isn't right, you will you know do these kind of things, you know. Uh obedience is better than sacrifice. I love this because you can give a sacrifice and not be in love with Jesus. You can give a sacrifice of something and totally be in denial and rebellious and not in love with Jesus. But you can't be obedient and not have a relationship with Jesus. You have if you have a relationship with Jesus, you will be obedient. You can't be obedient. You can't be obedient, you can't say yes to Jesus if we don't have a relationship. That's why uh this is why this uh verse says this obedience is better than sacrifice, because you can give a sacrifice without being in love with Jesus. And we're about to see. You know, we're about to see how someone gave a sacrifice that wasn't in love with God at all, you know, that cared more about what man thought and what man can saw. Um this verse is from the story. If you this is the if you can go back and read the entire passage, 1 Samuel 15, chapter 15. This is actually the story, in a sense, where Saul, in a sense, found out that he wasn't gonna be king really no more. Uh and and uh because why? Because God told him he they just won a battle, and God told him basically to give a sacrifice, but instead he he said, Okay, I'll give a sacrifice. But the Bible says he gave basically the sacrifice to God, he gave God the seconds in a sense. He didn't give him the best gold, he didn't give him the best cattle of the land, he just won. He gave him sloppy seconds to God. That's what he did to God, and that's why Samuel comes in and says, Obedience, because God told you to give this in your worship, because they're sacrificing, they're worshiping God. They built the altar, you know, they're worshiping God. And that's why the prophet had to come up here and tell Saul and say, bro, like obedience is better than sacrifice. So this is a man he saw, this is a man. Why did he do this though? Why do you think he was like, Man, I I want to do this? Because you know what he said to Samuel? He said, the prophet Samuel, he said he was worried about what man would think. In a sense, what does that mean? He's worried about what man can see. He's more focused and more um, how can I say, more thoughtful to what man's eyes rather than the eyes of God. And why though? Because his cornerstone of his life and his heart was not built on God. His cornerstone in his life, it basically, in a sense, was built on himself and pride. That's why this happened. Because the foundation of his life, the foundation, the cornerstone was not God himself. This is what can happen in our life. This is why the Bible says in Ephesians 2, Jesus Christ is the cornerstone. He must be the foundation of your life. And I'm telling you right now, when he's the cornerstone of your life and you worship him with everything you have, you're gonna be obedient to him. You're gonna say yes to him. Regardless of situation, you're gonna say, Yes, Jesus, I'm gonna go. Because once again, we all know David. You know, so we teach a lot about David. Uh, what is what does God tell the prophet Samuel about David? He doesn't say David's a great musician. He doesn't say David's a great, talented man of war. He literally doesn't tell me any of that. He just says he's a man after my heart because he would do what I tell him to do. So he's obedient. He's obedient to God. Why? Because we know his foundation, the cornerstone of his life is God. The cornerstone of his songs, his worship, everything he can do, playing, whatever he does, the cornerstone of his life is God himself. So anyway, uh Genesis 22, 12. Here's another story. Like I said, that was Saul. Uh he gave this, he gave God the seconds in a sense of worship. He wasn't obedient. And we talk about, you can see it right there, when your foundation, the cornerstone isn't God, you're just gonna give God nothing else. You're not gonna be obedient, you're not gonna give him the fullness of him. And to be honest, you're gonna withhold a lot of things from him. That's a horrible place to be. You're not whenever you we need to get to a point in our worship in our life that we cannot withhold anything from Jesus. That that's truly when you know you're in love with Jesus. It's not about the works you do for him, it's about are you withholding anything from him? That's when you know, bro, I'm I'm totally in love with Jesus. Because I'm willing to give him all that I have and give him what he wants, and give him what and do what he tells me to do. I'm not gonna withhold, I'm not gonna hold anything back. That's what Saul did. So anyway, Genesis 22, 12, very famous story again. We teach a lot about it. It's one of the first times you see worship in a sense, the word pop up like that translation. Um, and it's when Abraham brings his son to the altar, his only son, you know, and he brings him to the altar. And it says it right here in Genesis 22, 12, it says, Do not hurt him in any way, for now I know you truly fear God. You were you have not withheld from me even your son, your only son. Think that that's what it's about, right? The foundation truly, and I love it too, because Abraham, uh, great, you know, great um definition, a great I'm not an example of what it means, a man of faith. And uh I love it because if you read a lot of the story also, the beginning of it, literally God tells him the night at night time, where right before he goes to bed, I guess you can say go to bed, right before night, he tells him, he's like, hey, you're gonna go and sacrifice your son. And then it talks about the next morning Abraham loaded up and went. There was no, there was no hesitation, there's no withholding anything. There was no questioning. Why? Because his foundation was God, his cornerstone was God. Because if it wasn't God, he would have been like Saul and said, Uh, how about I give him, how about I give him something else? I bring something else to the altar, not my son. I bring something else to the altar. It's still a sacrifice, right? I bring something else up there, not my son, though. I'm gonna bring something else. See, that's what we do a lot in life. We can fall into that trap. And how do we do that? When we stop allowing Jesus to be cornerstone of our life. This is the foundation of worship. It's Jesus is the cornerstone of our life. He must be the cornerstone in everything we do. Um, I love it because um David was a man also, whenever he became uh another great picture is when you know he became when David became king, we all know it, but he was wearing a priestly garment. You know, he wasn't wearing his kingly garments, you know. And I believe the reason why he wasn't wearing his kingly garments because he was trying to tell the city, he was telling, because to be honest, back in those days, we all know it. If now you haven't heard me teach on this, back in those days, it was against the law if you're a king to dress as a priest. It wasn't just like, hey, if you want to be a priest, you can dress as one, it's fine, bro. It was literally against the law to do that. So when David did that, he wasn't just like, hey, I'm gonna do this. He was, you know, going against the, in a sense, the law, man, literally. But I think he was trying to show us something though, very uh, very, very important. I believe what he was trying to show the people, what he was trying to show the people truly, he was saying, even though I'm king on this throne, God is still the cornerstone of this nation. Because that's what priesthood's about. Priesthood is about intimacy, it's about giving uh worship to God. And when Saul was king, he killed the entire priest in the land. It was about 80-something, I believe. Uh about 80-something priests he slaughtered and killed. Saul did that. And why? Because he was showing us that God's not the cornerstone of this nation. And that's the thing about it. David came into the, he came into this place, he came into the city saying, I am the new king, but I'm dressed as a priest to show this nation that God is still the cornerstone of this nation. Not just the nation, but my life. He's the cornerstone of my life. And these are just moments to ask yourself, look at your heart right now, say, God, man, is there any other cornerstones in my life right now? Maybe you're watching this or you listen to it later. Say, God, is there any other cornerstones that I'm building, trying to build my life on right now? Is there anything else that I'm trying to do right now? Am I building my life on something else? You know, one thing I know whenever I know my life was changing uh more and more as I started falling in love with Jesus and just worship, you know, it was all about worship. Was I knew my life was changing when all I wanted was to find him and I know I wanted nothing in return. You know, that that's what it's about. You know, you read the story about Genesis, you read the story about Abraham, uh, you read it when God tells him that, like the Bible says, he loaded everything up and went into the mountain. He wasn't like, God, what are you gonna do for me if I do this? Like, what's in return for me, bro? And that's when I that's when you know the cornerstone of your life is Jesus. Because you start loving him and you start saying yes to him and being obedient without expecting anything in return. Like you you would just say yes to him without thinking, like, if I do this, what's gonna happen next? If I do this, what what's gonna come on? If I get this job, am I gonna get a raise here? If I hey, if I do this, what's gonna happen here for me? So Abraham, any of these people never did that. I'm telling you, when he's your cornerstone, you expect nothing in return. You just say yes and you love him and you do life with Jesus. I'm telling you, that's what it's about. It's about finding him in everyday life. I'm telling you, I believe that is why he met the woman at the well right there. It wasn't just the fact to show him, like, hey, I'm the well, stop drinking from there. No, he wanted to show her and tell her it's no longer where you go to the mountain anymore. You're gonna find me in the everyday life now. And I'm telling you, that's what starts happening. He's the cornerstone of your life. I'm telling you, everywhere you go, you find him in life. You start connecting your life to Jesus. Why though? Because what is a cornerstone? You build on it. So that's the one I'm trying to tell y'all. That's what this thing's upon. When he's the cornerstone of your life, your worship, your heart, the foundation is your heart. I'm telling you, you're gonna find him in the everyday life. Um, but anyway, yes, uh, Saul, very, we all I'm telling you, I probably always teach about him, but because like I said, it's one of the most craziest things to see in life, honestly, and how some people can be like that still today, very prideful, and give God seconds. You know, give don't be obedient to him. Why? Because the cornerstone is himself. The cornerstone, his cornerstone deep down, was a title. Sometimes that can happen to us, right? We can, you know, uh try to kill off the things God has for us because we care our cornerstone is a title of our life. Um, but anyway, God, you're good. And the next one, I love it because this is um the verses on the back that when it carried over, it's John 12, 4 through 6. Um, like I said, I hope this makes sense to y'all, and I hope something, I hope this is kind of helping you to understand just to kind of stir and say, God, I want to have my cornerstone you. I want to build my life, my worship, my everything, my songs, my motive, the instruments, whatever you could do, I just want you to be the cornerstone of it. I want you to be the foundation of it and to understand, man, like seriously, to understand that, like I said, the greatest moments of worship seriously are invisible to the eyes of man sometimes. They may not see the thing you just left at the altar. But man, I'm telling you, that's they may not, they may not see you in your bedroom saying, Jesus, I want to give you this and lay it at your feet. They may not see that, but it's the greatest moment of worship in your entire life. It might be invisible to man, just like the foundation, I mean it's invisible sometimes. But I'm telling you, it is the greatest moment of worship in your life. I'm telling you, and it truly is. It's those moments, like I said, you go to your house and just say, Jesus, you know my heart, you see my heart, you see the things maybe I've been holding back, you see the things maybe that you know, whatever it could be, the motive I had that was wrong, and you give it to him at his feet at your house or heck, even here. And you don't have to tell the whole world. It's just you and Jesus. And those are sometimes the greatest moments because then your foundation is becoming him. The cornerstone of your life is Jesus. He is the cornerstone of your life, he's the foundation of your life. But Judas, here it is. But Judas, the disciple who would soon betray Jesus, said that perfume was worth a year's wages, it should have been sold and had given the money to the poor. Not that he cared for the poor, he was a thief. And since he was in charge of the disciples' money, he often stole some for himself. Bro. Man, that's hard. That's really hard. Man, that's pretty rough. It's like, man, not that I mean it says it right there, not that he's even cared for the poor. He was a thief. And see what he was in charge. He stole it for himself. What am I trying to say here is um what I'm trying to say is like basically, in a sense, this is a great picture of having Jesus as your cornerstone and worship your heart. Mary got the attention of Jesus, not because of the amount she gave, but because of what the man couldn't see. And then it's then I then it goes on and says, Then we have Judas who cared only what man could see, sold the perfume for the poor, ended up becoming the man who betrayed Jesus. The perfume was the same amount, but the cornerstones were different. You see what I'm saying? The perfume was the same amount, but the cornerstones were different. These two people, Mary and Judas, had different cornerstones in life. If you want to hold them up right beside each other, that perfume and the alabash, or whatever it could have been, was the exact same. All the man would have seen was a perfume and the alabaster jar. But once again, the greatest movement was invisible to the eyes of man. And that's truly what Jesus wants from all of us. And it's every day. It doesn't matter. Seasons may change. God can be like, hey, get up and go somewhere else, move somewhere. But I know one thing. If I if he was like, hey, David, Mercer, y'all, y'all get up and just go move to Mexico. Something I want to do with you over there. I know if I got there, he would still tell me the same thing. Sit at my feet. He will still say the same thing. Make sure that I'm the one thing you need. Make sure that you kiss me and expect nothing in return. Everything will be the same. The cornerstone will be the same. But the things that man see may be different. But the cornerstone will be the same. And that's what it's about life. You may go to a new job, you may go to different ministry, you may do this. Things may look different in the eyes of man, but you know your cornerstone is the exact same. Telling you, if you hold Judas and Mary next to each other, everything would have looked the exact same to the eyes of man. Man. Thank you, Jesus. I love it too, because it says uh it says, even though we look at the story of Mary and Martha, another another great story to look at, but I'm telling you, uh God just wants us to get us to the place where worship is about the cornerstone of our life. It's not about nothing else, not about a song we play, it's not about something we do, but we got to make sure that everything we do, we play, worship leaders, everything you play, let Jesus be the cornerstone of your life. Let it be from that place, though. Uh let you grow from that place. Uh let you grow from that place. I'm telling you, worship's not a day you saved on your calendar. You know, worship's not that. Worship's not about a hey, today we're going to worship on Saturday. It's not about that. You know, it's not, that's not, you know, whatever. It's worship, like I said, it's invisible to the eyes of man. And we all know Mary was somebody that had a heart of worship and truly. Made an impact of our life and set a great example to a lot of people. And Jesus dying for us is the greatest example of worship, of truly saying, Hey, I'm doing this with the right heart. I love you for real. You know. But anyway, we uh Mary and Martha, great story. We teach her also, great story uh to read. It's funny saying that. You know, it's not a story, you know what I mean. It's just funny saying that. It's like funny sometimes when I call people in the Bible characters. It's like, you know, like Dave was a great character. You know, it's just funny. Anyway, uh, this is also a good awesome uh passage uh to see uh to read about once again about the foundation of your worship. Uh it says, uh, this is a story we know it a lot of, we know it. You you know, if you don't know it, you know, it's a very, very common story uh about Mary and Martha, the sisters, and how Jesus came into their house, and one of them was cleaning, getting the house ready, and the other one was just sitting there, you know, in the sense uh listening to Jesus, what he had to say. And uh it's funny because and in that story, Martha, the sister, tells Mary and says, Hey, Jesus, can you tell my sister to come help me clean? Like that's what you're not paraphrasing, but that's what she says. She says, Hey, can you come and help my tell my sister to get up from your feet? That's what the Bible says, she's at his feet. Mary's at the feet of Jesus, listening to what he's teaching, while Martha is cleaning over here. And literally she tells Jesus, hey, Jesus, can you tell my sister to get up from your feet and come help me clean? That's what she says. I love it because once again, no, cleaning's not from the devil. You know, cleaning the church is not from the devil, no. But I believe in that story, though, a cornerstone was different. I believe in that her motive could have been a little different in this in this passage we read here. It wasn't the fact that, you know, cleaning's from the devil. No, you know, but anyway, uh, it's not about that. Uh laundry's from the enemy, but nah. But for real, it's not about uh it's not about cleaning, you know, but truly it's about her motive. And once again, think about this. Being spiritually, think about this. Once again, just once again, think about this. They're talking about the foundation, seeing things that man can't see. Martha was more concerned about what? How the things look that what man can see. She's like, hey, clean, help me get this stuff ready. That is stuff man can see. And Martha was more concerned about what man can see. We have to get to a place we're not more concerned about what man sees. We have to get to that place. We have to make sure we're at that place and say, look, I don't care what man thinks about me. I don't care what man thinks, especially if you're in ministry or something like that, worship leaders, pastors, you know, we have to get to that place where we don't, we're not more, we're not valuing what eyes of man more than the eyes of God. And I believe Martha was doing that. She was she was so worried about how things looked and how what she was more concerned about what man could see rather than truly, and if you think about this, is the entire story about when Jesus says she chose the better thing. You know, she chose the better thing, and and I think once again, why? Because we know Mary's cornerstone was Jesus, and in that moment, Martha could have said, Hey, I care more about what, I mean, for real thinking about the foundation of the house. She cares more about, you know, the others' things. And I think sometimes, like I said, we can get to that place sometimes in life if we're not careful. We can start putting things like that and only start pretending. We start pretending rather than have a relationship when our cornerstone is not Jesus. That's another thing about this entire teaching is about when your foundation, when your foundation isn't Jesus, you start pretending a lot. You really do. You start pretending a lot in life. You start, you know, like, hey, I'm gonna pretend to feel like this today. When deep down you feel horrible. Hey, I'm gonna pretend to look like this, and deep down you're like, I don't. Hey, deep down I'm gonna say I've been doing this, but deep down you go home and you don't live a life that is holy and honorable to Jesus. Why? Because the cornerstone, the foundation of your life is in Jesus, and you start pretending to be a lot of things that you're not, and that's what starts happening. You know, I'm pretty sure if the foundation of a house was horrible, I was selling, and I knew it was, I would try my hardest to make sure that outside looked great. I would make sure I'm trying to sell it and lie to somebody, I would make sure everything else looks great. So they're like, I don't notice anything about this. You know, I would make sure that it looked great. And that's sometimes what we do. When our foundation isn't right, whoo, we try to make sure this outside looks great. We try our hardest to make sure it looks great. Just like Judas. Think about it, just like Judas. No one knew because when the night when Jesus said, Hey, someone in this circle is gonna betray me, they had not doing, they had no idea who it was. Because Judas was good at pretending. He was good at hiding that he was a thief. You know, he was great. You see what I'm saying? Nobody knew it was gonna be Judas. They weren't like, oh, it's him, bro. We know it's him. Oh, he did he acts like this every day, bro. Oh man, say we all had that friend, right? No, it's not like Judas, you know, it's like nobody knew why, because he his foundation was horrible, his cornerstone of his heart was demonic. But he was great at fixing up the outside. He was great at doing that, and sometimes we fall victim to that kind of worship in our life. We make sure our foundation isn't that great, but who we pretty this up. We pretty the outside up. Just like Samuel, the beginning of the story, I mean the beginning of this teaching we talked about what happened. God had to tell him, I judge the the inside, not the outside. Why? Because all he was doing was looking at these fine warriors. He's like, Man, you have muscles, bro. Like, bro, you have a six-pack, a twelve pack, whatever. Like, bro, you look fit. You're definitely the next king. You are the next king. Like, this is who you are. Like, seriously. And God had to quickly correct him and tell him, bro, you're looking at not the foundation, you're just looking at that outside. And like I say, we we've we fall victim to that. We really do. And uh, just like this, like literally, when your cornerstone isn't Jesus, you're gonna be like Martha in that moment and say, get up, get up, get up. She was telling Mary to leave the feet of Jesus. That's what's gonna happen. When your cornerstone isn't Jesus, it's gonna say, Leave. Get up, get up. That's what it's gonna tell you all the time. Quit, don't go spend time at the feet of Jesus. Don't live there. Get up, get up. It's gonna why? Because we know at the feet of Jesus this gets corrected. We know at the feet of Jesus our heart gets corrected. But when but we're not at the feet of Jesus, the outside gets pretty up. But we're not at the feet of Jesus. All we do is focus on the outside. That's why sometimes we don't want to go sit at the feet of Jesus, right? Because we we don't want our foundation to get fixed. We don't want our heart to get fixed. We want to keep doing what we're doing. And sometimes we just don't want that foundation. That's what starts happening. You're like, get up, get up, get up, get up, go, go do that. Because we want to what? We want to make sure that what man can see, we want to make sure that's pretty. That's what's gonna happen. I'm telling you, we have to come to a place where we care more about what God sees and not what man sees. We have to. We have to come to that place. Uh, but anyway, the last thing I'll share is Matthew 7. Like I said, I hope this can help somebody, and I hope it can just stir you up to make sure, like, I don't want to leave the feet of Jesus. I want to make sure that what God can see is way more pleasing than what man can see, it doesn't matter. Matthew 7, 24, 27. Anyone who listens to my teachings and follow it is wise, like a person who built a house on a solid rock. Uh, though the rain comes and uh torrents and the flood waters rise and the wind beats against that house, it won't collapse because it is built on a bedrock. But anyone who hears my teachings and doesn't obey it is foolish. Like a person who builds his house on the sand, and it's the exact opposite. He goes on, talks about all that, but it says it crashes down modernly, it collapse. Uh, once again, I love it because I I look at this though, right here, this passage, it just kind of makes me, as I was reading, I want I I it's a very famous, very, very um-known passage and verses. Uh, I'll just really studying it, say, Lord, how does this also fit into like making sure my life is foundational to worship? You know, how does it, you know, help us? And I just look at it as like the woman at the well. She couldn't truly worship Jesus. It's your foundation wasn't right in her life. Why? Because she didn't understand truly what worship was. And I love how Jesus in this uh verse talks about listen to my teachings and do them. What is it teaching? A teaching, if you sat in a teaching, which means what? You start to understand, you gain understanding. And I love it because, like I said, when we once again read the Bible, uh, whatever it could be, get a teaching from Jesus, you know, it helps us understand. I think that is something we always need to pray for, say, God, help me understand more of who you are. Because I think that helps us in our cornerstone to stay, to be Jesus every day of our life is the more and more we understand who He is, the more and more we understand who Jesus is, like the woman at the well. She tells him, Tell me what worship is, tell me where do I go? What is all this about? And he tells her, and sometimes that's like us. If we want to want Jesus as our cornerstone, sometimes we got to ask him those questions. Sometimes we gotta be like Jesus, you know, and I love it too, again, because it talks about teachings and also being obedient, you know, and we talked about that. You you can't be obedient, you're not gonna be obedient to Jesus if you're you know, if your cornerstone isn't him. And uh, but anyway, like I said, I love that because if we don't understand him and we're not gonna be obedient to him, he's the more and more we don't understand him, the enemy is gonna come with a lie to make sure that he isn't our cornerstone. And I think that's why it's so important, uh, whatever uh whatever you do to read the Bible, to get a relationship with Jesus, saying, Jesus help me, to get connected with the body that can help you understand the Bible more. Uh, but anyway, I think why? Because like I said, when you don't understand who he is, not just understand head knowledge, but your heart, you know, seeing him, you know, encountering him. You know what I mean? And uh, but I think that's just something that also, like, if you know, if you listen to his teachings and don't do them, your cornerstone isn't gonna be him. But if you understand him, you're gonna start being more obedient to him and do his teachings, be obedient to him. So when the storms come in life, the temptations come in life, the lies come in life, the hardships come in life, the money problems come in life, whatever comes in life, you know, like I said, drug temptations, whatever it could be, lustful temptations, whatever it could be, come in life, what happens? It doesn't matter because I've I've been I start to understand Jesus more. Um His uh He's the cornerstone of my life, and I'm gonna be obedient and not fall into these things of the enemy. My house isn't gonna collapse my life, you know. My life isn't going to collapse. Uh why? Because he is the cornerstone of my life. When he isn't the cornerstone, I'm telling you, you're gonna fall. I mean, it's it's right there, it really is. Uh, you're gonna fall when he isn't your cornerstone. Uh, but anyway, yeah, uh, that was awesome. Uh I really hope, like I said, this can help you just more and more, I'm telling you, man. I think we're just coming to that place always. Like we need to understand that worship is more, is more important. It's it's more, you have to have a heart, I can I say it, like I said, you have to have a heart and a value. What he sees. I'm telling you, that's worship. Worship is never about uh so much about what's going on around here. It's not, it's about what is it, what's that foundation, your heart? What is it? What are those things? Like I said, man, I'm telling you, that is the best way to look at it. I'm telling you, Judas and the Mary would have stayed next to each other, would have been the same, but I'm telling you, the cornerstones were different. One was a thief and just stole. We don't want to become like that. We don't want to start pretty things up on the outside. We don't. And like I said before, worship isn't about an event. Worship is nothing about, oh, here's worship, you know, whatever it could be. Here's in ten more years, we're gonna have this. This is worship. Worship is every day of your life, and that's what starts happening in your life. You start you start, like I said, you start finding him in the mundane, you start finding him in the everyday life. You can be cleaning, you can be whatever it could be. You can be doing whatever it is, and you can encounter Jesus truly. It's the truth, you truly can. You can go to the gas station, encounter Jesus, you can go to your car, encounter Jesus. You can go to work, encounter Jesus. It doesn't matter. When he's your cornerstone, you're always gonna be with him. Your life, your life is gonna be built on him. Uh, you know, it's pretty cool. At work, a testimony is like, man, like, you know, just bringing him to your workplace and stuff like that. It's like, man, like the I remember telling Pastor Johnny about it. My principal came up to me. We had like a we had a good, you know, good stats of like grades, graduations that they ever had in years. And I remember at the beginning of the year, me and Pastor Johnny went to our principal, uh, went in there, and I mean, we just had a little awesome little prayer time with him. That was at the beginning of the year, of course. And now when the kid the seniors graduate, like I said, we had a very high stat, uh, one of the highest we had in a while of graduations, grid grades. And literally he came and told me, he's like, dude, I need your brother to come and pray for me at the beginning of every year. He was able to identify and realize, like, this is why this happened. And then I go to the middle school, I was at the house, then I go to the middle school and do things, God was doing great things there. And now the I opened up my principal there, a different principal, and now we're like, man, at the beginning of the year, let's have like a prayer meeting here. Like we're gonna, in Jesus' name, and you know, invite some people, whoever wants to come, whoever wants to do, and we're just gonna declare over the campus, we're gonna declare over the students. But why does that happen? Because he's the cornerstone of my life, and wherever I go, people are gonna encounter him. People are gonna the only reason why I'm here, honestly, is because I said yes to a word that Pastor John, my brother, gave me. That's the only reason why I'm here. Literally, I was going to school for something else. I was almost done. I was like, man, I guess this is what I'm gonna be doing in my life because I was almost done with the school going for the like two and a half years, and I remember out of nowhere. Man, like I said, I was in love with Jesus always, and Pastor Johnny, my brother, gives me a word about becoming a teacher. And just that night, I remember it was like on a weekend, and that Monday I went up to the college and said, I'm switching my major. And all this is happening. Why? He was a cornerstone in my life, and I said yes. He was a cornerstone, I said yes. I'm telling you, when he's the cornerstone in your life, I'm telling you right now, and no one could see that. No one, you know, not everyone saw these moments of like yes to him. It doesn't matter. I'm telling you. The greatest moments of your life with him, I'm telling you are the invisible to the eyes of man sometimes. So, yeah, well, let's stand up. Jesus, you're amazing. Oh man. And like I said, next Sunday, you know, in Jesus' name, everything, same time, uh, 6.30. Um man. And uh like I said, I hope this can help help you. And if you're watching, I hope it can help you. Uh and Jesus, like we always can say, Lord, I pray, God, even myself, that we never switch the cornerstone of our life to something else. I pray it's always you, Jesus. I pray that we won't worry about what's on the outside, making the outside look so good and pretty rather than my inside just defile and filthy. I pray, God, it doesn't matter. I pray that my hearts are always the main thing we're concerned about. As David says, search me, oh God. Search me, oh God. Let that be something we pray every day. Just search me, God. And our foundation, our heart, our the cornerstone would be you, Jesus. Anyone that's watching, anyone that listens later, God, I pray, God, that uh the cornerstone will be you, Jesus. Uh, no matter what, every day of our life. Uh, it doesn't matter if we come back, uh, this church, whatever it is, like 10 years later, we can still say Jesus is our cornerstone. We can still say Jesus is the one thing needed, uh, no matter what. Uh maybe did like I said, our lives may look different. All of us can be doing different jobs, but it doesn't matter. Jesus is the cornerstone still. Uh so anyway, we love you, Jesus, in Jesus' name. Amen. Uh yeah.
