Hey, good morning. Today is day eight of the Grow, my Business with Zero Dollars, and I am officially eight days away from the pitch competition, and I am still grossly not ready. I just can't seem to kick it into gear and do the things that I said I was going to do, and so that's a bit of a challenge. But now we're eight days away, which means I don't have a choice. So I've practiced to pitch twice. I was supposed to have practiced it probably about 30 times by now, so I got to really get on that. So what I am going to do is remove myself from the home environment and sit in the office and get some work done, obviously for the college, but then stay late and then work on the pitch afterwards, because now it's like either do it or or drop out. So, uh, it's interesting, right, there's been this overwhelming sense of not wanting to do anything like this, like dis-ease type feeling. Um, and it's it's I. I'm old enough now to recognize that. That feeling comes whenever there's things that I know I need to do or should do, but it is still challenging nonetheless. I have OD'd on the bad stuff, like the sodas, the cookies, the cakes, the ice cream and stuff like that, and I know that also impacts my ability to work. And then, you know, when they change into the season, so all those things can impact you. And then you got a couple of things, um, health concerns, uh, with the family, that nothing major, you know. Like you know, prayers are wonderful, but, um, that do take up residence in my mind. So, and I'm sharing all this, not for sympathy, but just so that when you are trying to grow your business, launch your business, restart your business and all those other things, you're going to be impacted by all these things. Right, and the verse that comes to mind is the greatest, he that is in you than he that is in the world. Right, meaning that, regardless of what comes against you in this journey for us, entrepreneurship, against you in this journey for us, entrepreneurship, like, if we are called to do that or if, if that's what we believe in god, for then he's already equipped us to to handle and address everything. Now, you're not gonna feel like it, you know, um, but it's part of it, right? Anyone that does only what they feel like is no different than a child and will ultimately lead an unfulfilled life. That absurd.
Speaker 1:And I was just reading Ecclesiastes today and that's the book of the Bible, by Solomon, I believe, and the wisest man that ever existed. And while most Christians would read Proverbs, it talks about wisdom. Some people read one proverb a day because there's 31 of them. Ecclesiastes is like the other end of that, where he's tried everything, literally everything, and he's at that place where you know everything is meaningless. Right time to be old, time to be young, um, you know he enjoyed everything multiple wives, multiple plays, he had all the money, probably the arguably still the wealthiest man that ever existed and at the end he's like like it's all meaningless.
Speaker 1:You know, here's the whole duty of man obey God's commandments, right, and so what I took that to mean and I read that today is that you know you just do what you know is right. Right, some days are easier than others, but just do that and there's fulfillment in that. And then trust God for the results. Right, and that's it. Just trust God with the results Ours is to do. God does that's the increase, he does the promotion, he does the blessings, he does all that. So let's get off of that. What am I going to do today? I'm going to complete the presentation for the college and I will go through my presentation for the pitch competition at least three times today and from this point forward I would do it for three times a day, all right, so when you see me tomorrow I would have done it three times and hopefully by Saturday I can make something out of this. All right, see you next time.
