In this episode, Toria talks to Stacey Reid and Dr Becky Ellis who are Explorify Engagement leaders and believe that primary science should be creative, practical and most importantly accessible for all.
Stacey has been a teacher, science leader and assistant head and designed a bespoke curriculum for her inner London school. Becky has taught for 20 years and prior to that was a scientist and gained a doctorate in environmental engineering from Cranfield University. Both are fellows of the Primary Science Teaching Trust (PSTT).
The Explorify team want science to be inclusive and engaging for all learners and teachers. The website is completely free and offers teachers a simple and easy-to-use range of over 400 high quality resources. Explorify gives teachers the confidence to feel excited about primary science and the tools to teach it using engaging strategies that promote higher level thinking, oracy and science capital.
