LGBTQIA+ part 1 with Ian Timbrell

In this episode, Toria talks to Ian Timbrell a Deputy Head Teacher from South Wales, who is passionate about promoting equality and equity in our schools. Ian explains the meaning of the terms in LGBTQIA+ and explores how we can learn from the mistakes of the past, to improve the lives of our students. 


Ian has been a teacher for 15 years and a deputy head teacher for 5 years, in which time he has worked as an advisor and supported schools across South Wales. He is currently working as a consultant supporting schools with RSE, equality and improving the teaching of grammar in their literacy curriculum. 



He is passionate about helping children to be comfortable with who they are and to build a society and education system where tolerance and acceptance are commonplace. He writes regularly on his blog at www.mrtimbrellwrites.com and tweets about LGBTQIA+ equality, and his other passions of grammar, politics, life in general, and his amazing 9 year old adopted son at @itimbrell.
