Building Mental Resilience in Children with Emma Davies
In this episode, Toria talks to Emma about a framework for developing psychological resilience in children and young people. She explains why using a sound resilience map will focus on the 3 dimensions of psychological wellbeing and allow targeted interventions to enable children to thrive.
Emma Davies is a psychologist and psychotherapist specialising in the psychological wellbeing of children and young people. She sits on the BACP committee for Children and Young People Services. Emma has been involved in creating the Resource-Based Approach to building resilience in children and young people and provides strategic consultation across the UK in providing psychological support and counselling services in schools. She co-founded @exchange-resource.net which is dedicated to educating and training psychological wellbeing staff and school staff in the application of achieving a Whole Systems Approach to supporting psychological wellbeing.
