Hello, I am Joshua P. Warren, and this is Joshua P. Warren Daily. And man, 2020 is getting off to a rough start for me. I I debated on whether or not to even leave a podcast for you because I have a cold and so I feel like hell right now. But you know, I I I thought, well, maybe I should just wait until I feel better and everything. But I thought, well, you know, it's a part of life. You have to deal with this, you have to go through this stuff. So I figured I'd just go ahead and and and give you a podcast because there's a lot of stuff happening right now as 2020 kicks off. And it's funny because you know, I have these people out there who contact me and say, Well, why do you ever get sick? You know, you're Mr. Wizard with your magic wands and your wishing machines. I have to say, well, like well, first off, I don't comment on medical issues because look, I don't care what how powerful or magical you may think you are, eventually you're gonna get sick and die. That's just a part of life. But secondly, you should get sick once in a while to strengthen your body. It's like when you're lifting weights and your muscles get sore until they until they heal while the while while they get uh stronger. And the I mean, especially when you're in an in an international hub like I am right now here in Las Vegas, Nevada. I get exposed to people from all over the world every single day, and you you have to get sick once in a while just to keep yourself strong. If you know somebody who never gets sick, and I know people who say I never get sick, well, I just I hate to tell you this, but there's a very good chance that eventually something is going to hit you that just kills your ass. Um it reminds me of Dan Martin, the man that I met with and interviewed on the Paranormal Paparazzi TV series, who lived in an extremely remote area of Texas, practically on the Mexico border, and never saw another human being other than his wife for six years. And when he finally came back into civilization, almost died. He had to be put on HIV drugs because his system was behind, you know, six years. Um, and so you don't think about that, but uh evolution is real and and microorganisms are constantly evolving and changing, and you just have to get a bug once in a while in order for your system to stay up to date. Okay, at least that's what I believe. You can disagree with me if you want to, but that's what I believe. So, anyway, here I am starting off the uh the new decade with with a cold, and and and it's really, you know, it it sucks, but it's not it's not that bad. And I was I was trying to figure out well, where did I get this cold from? Because there are so many options. My uh my buddy, of course, Forrest Connor, he came into town, he's uh an international flight attendant now. He came into town, hung out with me for a couple of days, and there's no telling what that guy's carrying around. All right, he's probably there he has probably uh diseases uh that I can't even imagine. Now, look, I've known Farrest for 20 years. He he knows I'm just cracking on him. But but you know what I'm saying is like, I don't know, he's traveling around and he's a flight attendant guy, but I probably bear honestly a little bit of the uh responsibility myself because I'm out here working in the middle of the desert, but I love the water, I like to go and scuba dive and snorkel and all that, so you know that was one of the cool things that I enjoyed about being in Puerto Rico, which of course has just been consistently hit with problems ever since I left. We'll get back to that later. But I do miss being around the water, so the closest I can get to that, conveniently, here in Las Vegas, is going to some of these spas. And I've talked about this before. That when you go to a spa in Las Vegas that has all these showers and fountains and baths and all that, it's kind of a Greco-Roman setup most of the time. Uh men and women are completely separated in most cases. And uh so when you go there, you know, there is this, it's it's kind of easy to to joke about the fact that it's like um it's it's like a romantic date if two men go to the spa. So for example, uh I got last year Dean Worsing was in town, and I called up Dean one morning. I said, Hey Dean, uh in so many words, would you like to go have a romantic spa day with me? And Dean goes, Hmm, I don't know if I'd be comfortable with it. All right, so then I so the uh a few days ago I called up Forrest Connor. I said, Forrest, would you like to go have a romantic spa day with me in so many words? And Forrest said, Why sure, what time? See, Dean, that's what a real friend does. That's what a real No Dean, I'm I'm just messing with you, man. Uh Dean has a wonderful sense of humor. I mean, whenever we hang out, we're just laughing and joking all the time, so uh I love you, Dean. Anyway, so I meet up with Farrest. Forrest had never had this type of a spa experience. Because we're from North Carolina, all right, pretty much. I mean, he was I think he was born in Texas, but Forrest and I are pretty much from North Carolina. We're we're ultimately what you'd sort of consider good old boys. And if you go to like the Grove Park and Spa, um guys have to wear their shorts and everything. Here, for some reason in Las Vegas, when you go to a spa, you're gonna see a lot of uh men from all over the world that just decide not to wear swim trunks. Alright, so they're just running around with all their shit hanging out. And so I told Forrest, well, hey, you know what? Uh we're middle age here, and we both wear glasses, so hey, you just don't wear your glasses. Uh they all look like uh everybody's dick looks like Bigfoot, right? It's all blurry. You don't really see anything. You can't even I mean, that's one i i it it's kind of funny when you get to be a certain age, you you can be like, you know what, I can take off my glasses and I don't have to even look at things properly anymore. That was one of the things that I enjoyed about being a Puerto Rico. I started learning Spanish and then I was like, I don't think I want to know that much Spanish, because most people get together and all they do is just talk about politics and the same old bullshit. So sometimes ignorance is is bliss, I guess that's what I mean. So anyway, Forrest and I, we go over to this amazing spa. We had a very uh romantic day together, a bromantic day, which uh last year we went to a winery together and everything, and uh so we were joking about like, man, see, like this is this this could be a TV show where we're teaching men how to to court anyway. Look, I don't want to get into this. My point is, it may have it may be, it may be that when we were at the the spa with all the waterfalls and the baths and all that, we may have gotten some kind of international dick germ. And I say that because I contacted Forrest afterward and I said, Forrest, how are you feeling? And he wasn't feeling 100% eager. So I don't know. It's possible, it is possible that you, you know, you there is this big conference in town, the CES Consumer Electronics thing with all these people from all over the world. You never know if you're gonna be exposed to an international dick germ. Again, folks, I'm trying to be funny here. I'm sorry if this is not landing with you, but uh, I'm trying. So, anyway, I'm not feeling 100%. I don't know what where I got this from, but I'm I I'm I'm I'm on the mend. I'm on the please don't send me your well-wishes or any shit like that. I don't need that, okay. I'm I'm fine. I it's just my body goes through this process like any reasonable person where you have to update, you have to, you know, you download the new germ, and you're like, okay, now I can fight that. But here is what is a little depressing. So here I am, feeling less than a hundred percent, and I got notified by the Asheville Masonic Temple. I knew this was coming down the pike at some point, but I got notified that the building where I have my museum, the Asheville Mystery Museum, which has been around for about ten years, uh it it's gonna have to undergo some significant renovations. And access to the basement where I have my museum is gonna be restricted possibly for years, depending on how how much needs to be done structurally, because this building is a hundred and seven years old, maybe a little older, and it it's uh far down a a hill, and so whenever it rains, we get sometimes one or two inches of water in there, and there have I had some damage to precious things. Remember my precious things. Um so I I knew that they were gonna have to do some renovations, and and so finally I got contacted um just yesterday by a uh representative for the board there, and he said, Yeah, you know, we're we we we gotta we gotta shut it down um to to do these renovations, and we don't know you know when we're gonna have it open again, blah, blah, blah. So anyway, what I'm telling you is that my Asheville Mystery Museum is about to be gone for good. And you know, the mystery museum, I'll I'll just give you a little background on this, just in case I drop dead tomorrow and anybody gives a shit. Um so about ten years ago, in Asheville, North Carolina, there was a very well known developer of real estate and business named Stuart Coleman. And he had just opened a new restaurant called Pax Tavern. And I met with Stuart Coleman and was struck by how interested he was in local history. I mean, he he he was was a sincerely interested person who I mean he knew all kinds of stories about you know not just history but folklore and you know, and he he he loved the culture, the regional culture of Western North Carolina. And he had recently purchased this property, uh, which is now Pax Tavern. And there was there was a little controversy over the purchase of the property. I won't get to that right now, but he had this old jail building that it was just you know a vacant building sitting there, they weren't doing anything with it. So I said, Well, how about I open up a little museum in there that features some of our local history? And he loved that idea. So that's what happened. I I opened up a uh a little museum that was originally called the uh uh let's see, what did I call the Asheville Tourism Center and Free Museum? That's what I originally called it in the old jail there. And um we had a ribbon cutting with the Chamber of Commerce, and everything was great. You know, we had a good time. But and that place was haunted as hell. I'll tell you on another occasion about some of the ghostly things that happened. But anyway, Stuart Coleman finally died, and when he died, uh the people who were in charge of the business had other ideas for how that space could be used. In particular, there was one guy who was very adamant about the fact that he thought it should be turned into a microbrewery or something like that, which has never happened to this day, by the way. But anyway, they wanted us out of there so they could supposedly get creative with it, and right at the same time, I was becoming very involved with the Asheville Masonic Temple, and the Masonic Temple Um had a master there who came to me and said, I think that your museum would be perfect in our basement. Okay, was his idea, and I said, Really? So I shifted everything over there, and all these years it has been uh a perfect match, a perfect fit. It's one of those things that people now think about when they come to Asheville. But unfortunately, the structure is deteriorating. I mean, it just is, and uh, it's gonna take a lot of money um to to get everything fixed properly in some time. So therefore, I am announcing to you that my museum is going into private uh on onto private property and uh private collection, you're not gonna be able to see it anymore, and uh probably forever. So therefore, if you're somebody who wants to buy a museum, well, you might want to contact me because maybe I can work out something. Uh but otherwise, no, it's it's just gonna go into a private collection and we'll still continue the ghost tours. Um everybody at the Ashville Masonic Temple has been wonderful, and uh, we're gonna continue meeting in the creepy alleyway that we've always met at there at 80 Broadway. But um we're just not gonna have the museum as a part of it anymore. So it's one of those things like uh it sucks to live life long enough and and see things come and go, and that's what's happening right now. Uh the Asheville Mystery Museum is about to be no more. And we're probably gonna be fully moved out of there and have the whole operation shut down by the end of February 2020. So, if you have any interest in actually being one of the last people to see the Asheville Mystery Museum, then you need to buy your ticket right now. Go to haunted asheville.com Haunted Asheville.com get your ticket. I cannot guarantee you that even if you if you were to go right now and buy your ticket, I cannot guarantee you that you would be able to see the mystery museum. Um but I think if you schedule your um your tour before the end of February, then you'll get to go in there and see it. So you can understand why like I understand myself why this needs to be done, but oh god, it's depressing. It's depressing to have a cold and then like get the news at the same time, like, yeah, well, you know, we gotta do this with this space, and so but but please don't send me any messages with any warm thought. I don't need that, okay. I'm working on a bunch of other stuff, which is very, very good, and I'll be telling you about that in the near future. But for now, I'm just explaining to you the reality. Haunted Asheville.com Asheville, North Carolina, that's how you get a ticket if you want to see the museum. So now that I've given you that information, let's see, I actually have the official release here. Amen. This is redundant, but I may as well read it to you. Sad news The Asheville Mystery Museum will soon be gone for good. As the author of Haunted Asheville, I have owned and operated the Mystery Museum in the basement of the Asheville Masonic Temple for many years. The exhibits include late broadcaster Art Bell's four foot alien statue a chupacabra skull from Puerto Rico and a piece of Vlad the Impaler's Castle from Transylvania. However, the building is one hundred and seven years old, and the Temple Board says significant renovations need to be made that will restrict access to the building. These improvements may take years to complete. Therefore, the Asheville Mystery Museum will soon be moved into a private collection no longer accessible to the public. The haunted Asheville Ghost Stories will continue to meet in the creepy alleyway behind the Masonic Temple at 80 Broadway, as usual, for the foreseeable future. We are already in the process of arranging the moves, so if you want to be one of the last people to ever experience the Asheville Mystery Museum buy your ticket today at haunted Asheville.com and I tell you I really I really do want to thank Vance Pollock for operating the Facebook page for the mystery museum and you know, Vance I can't say enough good stuff about Vance. You know, w when I when I had to give up hosting duties on Speaking of Strange because I just didn't have the time anymore, I I went straight to him and said, You're the only guy I can imagine taking over. Um so I have a very close relationship with Vance. Uh he's done a wonderful job of perpetuating the the mythos of the mystery museum online, so God You know, it kinda sucks when you have to talk about things that are changing like this. But I tell you what, Vance Pollock is a good man. He's done a lot of good things in his life. A lot of fascinating things. And uh so thank you, Vance, for for keeping up that Facebook page. It's weird. As twenty twenty kicks off. I think this decade is going to be a wonderful decade. I have nothing but positive vibes going. And I'm sorry if I sound a little like Eeyore. You know that. That's not my usual style. Uh, but I like I say, I think that like I just I'm getting some some dense vibes out of the way before things go exploding into wonderful uh phenomena. And as obviously, I got some experiments that I'm working on that I can't tell you about right now, but I will be telling you about very soon. And at the same time, Puerto Rico. We're gonna get back to this. Puerto Rico is experiencing all these earthquakes now. Now, here's something that you may or may not know. Uh years ago, I released this, I think it was like a 16-minute video on YouTube called OUFOs, a new discovery. And it was the product of four years of research that I had done in Puerto Rico about all of the strange UFOs flying around there, which I have renamed OUFOs. And one of the guys that I featured in that is is a man named Daniel Velez, and he and others had been telling me that there is an uptick in all of these UFOs right before something like earthquake activity happens, something cataclysmic. And thank God at this point, yes, there has been some significant damage in Puerto Rico, but the the the human toll has been fairly minimal. Last I looked, only one person has died so far. I don't know how far that's gonna go, but it is interesting to me that there was this huge wave of interdimensional beings sited in Puerto Rico that I documented as intricately, I mean, I I was the only person documenting this stuff, really. Uh at least for the English speaking world, right before Hurricane Maria hit, and then the series of earthquakes is hit, so I think it it is another one of those uh examples of a bunch of interdimensional stuff like the gargola appearing near Guanica, etc. etc., right before there is a major shift in the physical world. If you don't know what I'm talking about, sorry, I'm not gonna explain all that right now, but if you do know what I'm talking about, you're gonna be like, oh yeah, Josh was telling us that there's been this uptick in all of these paranormal phenomena just before a huge hurricane and a series of earthquakes, and so it resonates with the Mothman situation where people start seeing a warping, a bending of dimensions that brings us closer to these interdimensionals just before the physical world goes through a major change and then snaps back into place. Here is one more thing that I want to bring up, and you know, I just want to do this for the hell of it. You know, I don't like to talk about politics on this podcast because you get enough of that. But it was you know, it's funny because I was reading about how that when this Iranian general Salomani had his I guess his funeral, there was a stampede, and over fifty people got stomped to death. And I just started thinking about how how weird is that that human beings can revert into a herd mentality, just like cattle or whatever, and just end up in a situation where they're stomping other people to death and they can't do anything about it. So I went to uh the Almighty Internet here and I and I started reading a little bit about stampedes. It says a stampede is uncontrolled, concerted running as an act of mass impulse among herd animals or a crowd of people, in which the group collectively begins running, often in an attempt to escape a perceived threat. Nonhuman species associated with stampede behavior include zebras, cattle, elephants, blue willed beast, walruses, wild horses, and rhinoceroses. Now here is why I thought that was interesting. We, you and me, human beings, are in an article about a behavior that is alongside zebras, cattle, elephants, blue willed the beast, walruses, wild horses, and rhinoceroses. How often do you see human beings included in that collection? It also says that, as I just read, it's an act of mass impulse among herd animals or a crowd of people in which the group collectively begins running. Now what what is going on here? Why? Why are we grouped in with these things, zebras, cattles, elephants, and so? I started reading more about these uh stampedes, and uh Oh my god. You wouldn't believe it. How that there have been situations Let's see. There's if you go down the statistics. Can you imagine what it looks like to see 1,426 people stomped to death by other people? Well that happened in 1990. Mecca Tunnel Tragedy. How about this one? What would it look like to see two thousand one hundred and seventy-seven people stomped to death? That happened on September twenty-fourth, twenty fifteen at the annual Hajj in Saudi Arabia. And you say, What is the Hajj? Well that's when they go over there to Mecca. If you want to see some interesting shit, I want you to go to Wikipedia or whatever source you trust and look up Stampede and read about over and over and over again the thousands of people who have been just stomped to death by other people. Not to mention not to mention the people who have not been stomped to death but just were horribly injured. Now, why is this significant? It tells us something about how low down that we can go as animals. It's that Wookiee like instinct that I talked about in my book Use the Force. It's a damn shame. And I know I'm not trying to bring you down today, I probably am. But my God. Just go look up the the stats and think about that. How that we live in a world where we can just all get together and mindlessly just stomp the shit out of each other. As a matter of fact, uh let me see if I can find this. It says that uh crushes are very often referred to as stampedes, but unlike true stampedes, they cause many deaths. And it goes on to say that most reported stampedes are better understood as progressive crowd collapses. If a single person falls or other people reach down to help, waves of bodies can be involuntarily precipitated forward into the open space. One such shock wave can create other openings in the crowd, precipitating further crushing. Do you see how connected we all are? Like that's a very literal physical example of how connected that we all are. That we are we can get together in a big old crowd and just stomp the fuck out of each other if we actually have no individual power. So what do you think that we do mentally? Mentally speaking, we have uh stampede mentality as well. Right? We can stampede on each other mentally instead of just standing up and being direct and honest for what we believe is right. Anyway, look, all I'm doing is just tossing some something out there for you to think about. Hey, listen, on uh February the first of twenty twenty, Alex, who is the owner of Millennium Fandom, which is the cosplay bar here in Las Vegas, he contacted me and said he wants to turn it into paranormal night. Paranormal night there uh with creepy vegas. So that's pretty damn cool. You can find information about that if you go to creepyvegas.com. And you know, at this point, creepy vegas is less than a year old, but it's been doing really well. Um I'm also looking at expanding properties that might want to host Creepy Vegas. So if you uh if you know somebody who has a property in the Las Vegas area that might be interested in hosting some Creepy Vegas events, well, this is a good opportunity for you to contact me. Go to creepyvegas.com, creepyvegas.com, and obviously, if you want to see Joshua P.
