Hello, I am Joshua P. Warren, and this is Joshua P. Warren Daily, and I have to be kind of quiet while I do this podcast because I am right now inside of a creepy, undoubtedly haunted room at this old hotel up in the snowy mountains of Colorado. I mean I look out my window and there is a gigantic, striking, you know, scenic mountain there covered in snow. I swear I'm having flashbacks of the shining here. And this night has gotten off to a strange start. Uh now let me let me just tell you for one thing. Um this place is well over a hundred years old. I don't want to tell you exactly where I am. Uh you can probably figure it out if you really want to dig into that, but I don't want to tell you exactly where I am while I'm here. You know, and I'm not I'm not asking for trouble if somebody wants to come and harass me or interfere with what I'm doing. You know, I'm here because I'm filming this weekend with George Snorri. So anyway, um so the walls are kind of thin here, so I don't want to be too loud, which is very ironic considering what I'm about to tell you. But this hotel, uh, like I say, well over one hundred years old, uh incredible history here, a lot of really interesting amenities. I mean, for example, they have a water fountain in the lobby that has uh icy cold water coming directly from a glacier. And when I was checking into this hotel, the guy at the front desk, he asked me, so um, what brings you into town? And so, you know, I could have said anything, but I don't know. I figured I'd tell the guy the truth. I said, Well, I'm actually here because I'm part of a television show. And he was like, Oh, really? That's cool. And I was like, Yeah, you know. Uh so he's like, What's it about? Well, I was like, Well, it's about spooky stuff, you know. I mean, I don't know, you know, really beyond belief is about all kinds of metaphysical and unexplained things, but it's easier just to say, like, oh, it's spooky stuff, and I was like, you know, ghosts and UFOs, and the guy's eyes lit up, and he was like, Oh man, I love all that stuff. So I figured I'd take the opportunity while I was checking in there to uh to get a little more info from him about this place where I'm staying, uh, because I have stayed here before, but uh as it turns out I've never stayed in this part of the hotel before because they have a new section. This is the old, old, old section that I and I I've never even, as a matter of fact, I don't think I've ever even been in this section before. And so anyway, as I was checking in and uh and we're having this conversation, I said, I uh I've heard there's some ghosts in this place, right? And he goes, Yeah, well, you know, some people don't, you know, don't like to talk about that, don't want to really hear about that, but you know, as long as it's not scary to you. And I was like, oh no, man, this is my area of expertise. And he goes, he goes, well, actually, you know, he says, the murder suicide thing freaks out a lot of people. And I'm like, uh-huh. And he goes, uh, but um if you're okay with it, I'll just tell you. He says, You're you're actually staying like right there in the area where people see all the ghosts. And I was like, uh, okay. So uh let's talk a little bit more what you know what exactly is the murder suicide thing again? Uh can you refresh me on? And so obviously this place has a a a very rich history, a lot of drama here, and I'll tell you later more specific details. But there have been actually a number of suicides here. Two people over the years have shot themselves. Uh one guy committed suicide with chloroform, and then his wife. There well, the story is like they're not sure if he tried to kill her or if she tried to kill herself to be with him, but it didn't work on her, and so she ended up in an asane in an insane asylum. Look, all this like bizarro like eerie, chilling stuff has happened right around here, and possibly even in this very room where I am joining you from right now. And so the guy at the front desk was saying, Yeah, you know, people they they see ghosts all the time, and he says, but in in particular, they hear uh scratching on the walls, and then sometimes they hear a woman screaming and and wailing uh in in the night. And uh so I'm like, oh God. See, here we are, like I'm in that situation I was telling you about where I was thinking I uh I I relish the opportunity to be here and try to document something, but I don't like to sleep where I work. Does that make sense to you? It's I can come in here and investigate and then go home and sleep. I don't like to sleep. For some reason I'm reminded of that quote, don't she uh listen to me, don't shit where you eat. I have no idea how that applies to this, but so anyway, I get here, I open up the door to this room, and it's a small room, it's got a slanted ceiling, you know, coming down on one side. As soon as I open the door, I'm like, oh yeah, this room is haunted. I I can just tell immediately I've been to enough haunted places in my life. When I walked in here, there was this first off like a pressure, it almost it it's like a quiet pressure in the room. And uh I I've just become accustomed to that feeling, having been to so many haunted places. And so the the i it it's hard to explain, but maybe you know what I'm talking about if you've been to haunted places, or maybe you have like one room in your house or one building that's got a room that you work in or whatever. Um so that y where you're you know you're kind of familiar with this odd sense. It's an uncomfortable sense. And uh so sleeping in here tonight is going to be really interesting. So I came in, once I started getting unpacked, I got out my full spectrum camera, and I started taking pictures. And the screen on the full spectrum camera is actually quite small. So I may have already gotten some anomalies, uh, but it's it's kind of hard to analyze them. Uh I am getting a little older and my eyes aren't what they used to be, and so I'm gonna have to uh well, you know, it's got an SD card, so eventually at some point I'll take these pictures and I'll put them on my computer and blow them up and I'll take a good close look at everything. So anyway, I was in my room and I'm taking all these pictures, and of course, with the full spectrum camera, the colors look off. Everything looks weird, it doesn't look like it does to the naked eye. And then all of a sudden, guess what? I started hearing the most distinctive sound of a woman wailing and screaming that I've ever heard. And I mean, instantly it made the hair stand up on the back of my neck, and I'm like, what the hell's going on? So I walked out into the hallway because it sounded like it was coming from another room. And sure enough, right around the corner from me is this room, and I hear screaming and moaning and moaning and screaming and mo and then I hear the woman's voice and she's saying Yes, baby, yes, oh God, give it and I'm like, are you kidding me? The the whole floor or two of this hotel can hear I listen, let me tell you something. I have traveled quite extensively. Hell I worked for the travel channel. I have stayed in a lot of hotels. I have never heard a woman carrying on like this. And not just her. Yes, yes, give it to me. Oh baby. Look, I don't want this podcast to be X-rated, so let me just tell you, in addition to that, I also could very clearly hear the distinct sound of flesh against flesh. And I don't think there was anybody applauding in there, uh even though that will come later, I would imagine. It s somebody deserves some applause, alright. So I can't believe how loud this couple is being. To the extent where I well, you know, I'm a I'm I'm an investigator. I so I had to hit record and at least record some of this audio. And so here I am sitting on one of these little couches for a second, and I'm recording this audio, and and look, I'm not I'm in a public area, okay? And I was just like I just I can't believe this goes on and on. I swear this must have gone on for easily 10-15 minutes. Just top of top of her lungs. The guy wasn't really saying much, but he was I could definitely hear his participation. And so anyway, I record this audio, and I'm like, okay, enough of that. I can't believe what you know. And no, no, I'm not going to play it for you. I I I would feel dirty if I played this for you. I feel dirty just having recorded the sound, but I just had to document it because look, like I say, I was in a public area, I wasn't doing anything wrong. If I were to post this, I have every right to do it, but I just feel like that would somehow be um I don't know, uh, taking advantage of somebody's private experience or private and I I that just no, I'm not gonna do that. But I do want to play this for my close friends and family when I tell them the story, so they will know they will know the extent to which this goes. I mean I'm not exaggerating this at all at all. As a matter of fact, if anything, I'm underplaying it. And it's just it was it and it makes me wonder, well, like when people do that, it uh do they want everybody else to hear? I mean, surely they can't think like here I am. I'm sitting here doing this podcast in my room, and I'm trying to be, you know, a little more quiet than usual because I realize there are thin walls in here. There's there are people above me and below me and to the left and the right, and there's a hallway. I mean, how can you shriek and wail and scream? I mean, at first it sounded like a joke to me, but I I can pretty well assure you that it's no joke. I mean, that that's just how those folks carry on. And uh and it's not particularly late at night, so uh boy, who knows what's gonna happen if they decide to make a to make an evening of this. I mean, if that's the appetizer, I don't know what the hell to expect about, you know, eleven, twelve, one in the morning. I mean, who the hell knows? But I know that I have to get up early in the morning and we're filming uh quite a bit, so um listen, I'm sorry that uh so far I can't tell you that I have heard the the screams and wails of a of a ghost unless now look, I didn't knock on the door, so maybe that was the ghost of something that happened in the past. I don't know. That's an interesting thought. Have you ever considered that? That maybe uh as opposed to like the emotion expended through through death and morbid, gruesome violence that maybe moments of ecstasy also imprint the environment and create a ghost? I mean maybe that room is haunted by the ghost of two people who uh are having a grand time. Wouldn't that be a twist on things? Think about that. But regardless, I'm going to keep taking pictures here tonight. I've got a video camera here, I'm gonna be shooting video, and if something really absolutely crazy happens here tonight, I might even jump on here and do another podcast and give you an update. So you want to sort of stay tuned. It might not be through my uh system here, it might be through my cell phone. So that might make it a little, you know, lower quality. But anyway, I have a feeling that I'm gonna have an interesting story for you beyond what has happened so far once I have spent a night here. Also, this is Saturday here in Colorado. Tomorrow is Sunday. My plan is to launch my new metaphysical product tomorrow morning. And that's by Colorado time. And I'm not gonna I don't think I'm gonna be able to do a podcast tomorrow.
