Hello, I am Joshua P. Warren, and this is a special report to finally announce my new Christmas creation. For the first time ever, I have produced a fun, new, magical doll. It's the AntiCrumpus doll. Yes, the AntiCrumpus doll. Now I had the idea for this years ago, but I just finally put the pieces together this year. Let me explain to you more in depth how all this happened. Now, some of you are probably scratching your head, what is Kumpus exactly? Well, you know what? Kumpus has been around for probably thousands of years. It's a figure that's mainly well known in old European folklore. I'm going to get into more detail in a minute. But what's interesting is about 20 years ago, when I was hosting my radio show called Speaking of Strange, I was apparently one of the first American broadcasters who kept talking about the Kumpus a lot. I'm not sure how I first came across Crumpus, but it Crumpus was not at all a well-known figure here in the USA. And there has been this explosion of awareness of Kumpus over the past 20 years. And I've literally had a lot of people say that the first time they ever heard about this was from listening to me talk about it. So I suppose I helped popularize this over the past 20 years here in America. But Kumpus is sort of the opposite of Santa. The idea, of course, is when you're a good little kid or whatever, that Santa Claus will come and bring you gifts. And if you're not, maybe the worst that'll happen is he'll leave you a lump of coal. Well, that's not exactly the worst thing that can happen in old European lore. The worst thing is your punishment is that the crumpus comes to your house instead of Santa, okay? And the crumpass is this big horned half-goat, half man, half-demon creature that comes in and like kills your dad and seduces your mom and drags the kids off to his cave where he tortures them and eats them. That's a pretty extreme difference. I'd I think I'll take the lump of coal, right? And just to give you more insight on the sort of academic history, if you go and you just look up a basic Wikipedia article here about Kumpus, and Crumpus is spelled K-R-A-M-P-U-S. K-R-A-M-P-U-S. It says in Central European folklore, Krampus is a horned anthropomorphic figure described as half goat, half demon, who during the Christmas season punishes children who have misbehaved. This contrasts with Saint Nicholas, who rewards the well behaved with gifts. Krampus is one of the companions of Saint Nicholas in several regions, including Austria, Bavaria, Croatia, Hungary, Northern Italy, the Czech Republic, and Slovenia. The origin of the figure is unclear. Some folklorists and anthropologists have postulated it as having pre Christian origins. Wow. So again, we're talking about possibly going back thousands of years. It says in traditional parades and in such events as the Kumpus Lof, which in English means a Kumpus Run, young men dressed as Crumpus participate. Such events occur annually in most alpine towns. Crumpus is featured on holiday greeting cards called Kumpus Carton. Here is what one expert said about the history. In 1958, a historian named Maurice Bruce wrote, quote, There seems to be little doubt as to his true identity, for in no other form is the full regalia of the horned god of the witches so well preserved. It goes on to say there are certain initiation rites associated, including binding and scourging as a form of mock death. The chains could have been introduced in a Christian attempt to bind the devil, but again they could be a remnant of pagan initiation rites, end quote. He brings up chains because the idea is that when Crumpus is running around, a lot of times he's dragging chains and ringing bells. And my understanding is, you know, part of this is obviously just to alarm and frighten people, but it also has to do with the fact that there are people who are trying to tame this beast and chain him up, and they are often unsuccessful. And you can dig down the whole history of Krampus Lore on your own if you want to know more about it. It's quite fascinating, and it really is a really striking contrast to a lot of the traditional Christmas imagery that you may have in mind, which may be kind of refreshing, frankly, because a lot of the Christmas imagery just becomes pretty generic and boring after a while. But nonetheless, uh here's what you have to realize in some of these countries I just mentioned, around Christmas time, you've basically got a bunch of like drunk guys who, you know, imagine a bunch of like German Austrian drunk dudes who are dressed up as these horrific horned beasts and they go out rampaging the town for a night. This is no bullshit, okay? People actually do they they they get their food and supplies stocked up and they lock the doors and bar everything and they just sit there and wait for this to come through. Because you know what? You may not believe in spirits, but when you have a bunch of drunk Germans dressed as demons rampaging your town for the night, they it's it's the it's the same thing, right? I mean, humans, at very least, I guess, are just you know channels for some kind of spiritual energy, call it consciousness or whatever. And and when this happens, they're channeling the spirit of crumpus. It's a real thing. So it's a fearful thing when they come out and they have torches and chains and bells and they're running around uh getting into all kinds of mischief. And in fact, you know, there are some rather playful parties that you can attend in some places called um, I guess like a crumpass knocked and that sort of thing. Uh I can't remember all the names, but there was one that I attended in Asheville, North Carolina years ago, and it was a pretty darn good one. It was at a bar called the Auditorium, ODD Auditorium. And the thing is, it was fittingly cold and wintry, and you know, you had that Christmas vibe, and they're all the nice warm lights and everything everywhere, and then you get there and you see these seven-foot-tall, incredibly elaborate, horned, beastly outfits that all these, you know, really over over the top uh costumers have created. And I say they're seven feet tall because you know these guys wear lifts, and some of them are on stilts and all this kind of stuff. And if you've never actually seen a Kumpus costume, I'm telling you, it is one of the most terrifying looking things you'll ever see. A well-done Kumpus costume will instantly send an icy shudder of shocking fear down your spine. It is just some kind of a guttural, terrible thing. Even if you know there's some geek inside this seven-foot costume who's you know spent all this time geeking out on his stilts and everything. It doesn't matter. There's something visceral that is tapped into when you look at somebody and they're dressed like that and they have the contacts in their eyes that make their eyes look you know like they're in emanating some kind of fiery light or whatever. I mean, I'm telling you, it'll it'll make the hair stand up on the back of your neck. So it's a freaky thing, this whole idea of Krampus. But you know, if you've listened to me for a long time, I enjoy the idea that you can take certain dark concepts, well, it doesn't really matter, any concept, but in this case a dark concept, and you can represent it as a thought form and then deal with it. And the the truth, the reality is that this time of year, when we have the holidays and people are supposed to be focused on all the positive stuff, sometimes what that does, unfortunately, is remind them of what they don't have. It creates a contrast, it creates a polarization. So that is to say, when you're going to the store, instead of being giddy about all the things that you can buy, maybe every time you you look at a product, it has the opposite effect and you feel depressed because you don't have the money to buy it. Or when people are partying and having a merry old time, maybe you think to yourself, Oh gosh, you know, I wish I could be like that right now, but I can't because I have this bullshit going on in my life or whatever, you know. So you have all these issues that can come to the surface just because people are saying, be joyous, have a good time. This is uh something that we have to deal with when it comes to the world of manifestation. That it's not always just staying focused on the good, it's acknowledging the bad stuff so you can work with it and help to clear it and get rid of it. That's why, for example, my psionic dematerializer has been so effective. I call it the bad buster. Well, guess what? I thought, you know what? That's an easy enough term. People know what that means. So the website for this new doll that is meant to deal with the crumpass energy, the crumpass spirit is crumpusbuster.com. K-R-A-M-P-U-S, crumpusbuster.com. So years ago, I started thinking about the negative stuff that people associate with the Christmas and holiday seasons, and I thought crumpass is the embodiment of this, crumpus is the symbol of this, and that's interesting to me. And so, what could I produce as something that at first may seem a little like sinister because it's off-kelter, it's not your usual, you know, Christmas uh symbology at work, but at the same time, uh it ends up producing a positive, joyous outcome. And I started thinking more about the crumpass and the idea of condensing the crumpass into a symbol and then condensing the crumpass into a doll. And then I thought, oh man, if if you have a crumpass doll, and this doll represents the spirits of all the negative thought forms swirling around you if you have that issue here at the holidays. I'm talking about, again, you know, depression, stress, financial problems, bad weather kicking in, maybe illness, whatever it is that you're dealing with right now. Maybe it's there's just a lot of stress dealing with the family, you know, or the neighbors, or what there's a lot of stuff that happens around the holidays that people always complain about. If you imagine all that in the doll, and then you take the lesson from how this has been treated according to folklore, and you chain it and you bind it up. That is a ritual. This is a ritualistic thing. You literally say this doll represents all of the negativity of the holiday season, and I'm gonna flip that. I'm going to turn that all that you know in the back of my mind when some little dark thing is nagging at me. I am going to take that and use that as momentum to reverse it, to change it, to flip it into something positive, and I'm gonna do that by binding this doll up with the chain and putting on the lock. And so my idea was to create the anti-crumpus doll. The anti-crumpus doll. And in fact, um, one of the first things I did was write a little story about the anti-crumpus doll. And, you know, I actually I wasn't gonna I wasn't gonna read this, but I may as well. I'm actually going to read to you the little poem that I wrote that I thought would make a nice little book to go with the Kumpus doll and chain kit. Here it is. Okay, it's short, it's a poem. It's called The Story of the Mean Old Crumpus by Joshua P. Warren. In the old world, when children behaved through the day, Santa's sleigh would arrive, leaving toys for their play. But when children were bad and refused to behave, Crumpus would drag them away to his cave. As the years passed, old Cumpus became even worse. For fun he'd raid towns to be foul with his curse. He'd spoil your holiday, love, cheer, and feast. Even Santa would cower in fear of this beast. In the icy and sparkling mountains up north, the snow fairy elf summoned her workers forth. She demanded of them an impossible task make a chain that will bind up the crumpus and fast. Day and night the small craftsmen worked almost insane, and when done they had forged a miraculous chain. It's made from the armor of angels they held. A wicked thing wrapped in these links is in jail. The snow fairy elf flew to Crumpus's den. While he slumbered, she wrapped him from ankle to chin. With a lock on the chain, the old Crumpus was beat, and the villagers partied and sang on each street. The spirit of Crumpus can influence us all. But your Crumpus spirit is inside this doll. Wrap him tight with a chain, snap the lock on it strong, keep him out on display, and good luck lasts years long. And that is my poem, The Story of the Mean Old Crus, Copyright 2020, by Joshua P. Warren. And I I thought, okay, I want to make that into a little old-fashioned, antique looking storybook. And you get that in a in a in a nice little box with the doll, and the doll has a chain and a lock. It just made perfect sense. It's a magical thing, but it's also a fun thing. And then, you know, I thought, well, if I'm gonna do this, I don't want to just go out there and find some crumpass doll that somebody else makes and and incorporate it. Oh, I want my own crumpass doll. But really, how do you make a cool-looking kick-ass trump crumpus doll, you know, from scratch? I wasn't sure how to do that. Well, as fate would have it, there is a man who listens to this podcast. He is a big fan and supporter of all my work. His name is William Eggleston, and he lives in South Carolina. Bill Eggleston. And the thing about Bill Eggleston is he is an extremely accomplished, very busy professional with a tight schedule. He has a wonderful family, including quite a few kids, and he is a busy, busy man. And yet, one of the things that he not so long ago discovered brings him some peace and alleviates some stress is sculpting. You know, and of course, a lot of people they get away from the the daily stresses of life by doing something artistic. And he, as it turns out, is an incredibly talented sculptor. So he started sculpting things and casting them and molding them, and he actually sent me out of the blue one of his uh sculptures, one of his first sculptures, and it was it was actually very frightening. I was I was a little intimidated when I got his first sculpture. I wasn't sure what to make of it. But uh I definitely saw talent and potential there, and I said, Hmm, one of these days I think I might have an opportunity to tap in to Mr. Eggleston's talent if he'd like to work with me on a project, and then one day I said, Oh yeah! Krumpest doll, anti-crumpus doll. So I contacted Bill Eggleston and he said, Absolutely, he would love to be a part of the project. And so we started working together, and I gave him some you know design elements and some thoughts here and there, and he started sculpting, and finally he sculpted a head, and I said, Oh yeah, yep, that's the one that looks like a great crumpass doll head. And so he cast and molded, uh, let's see, molded and cast uh about a hundred of these things, and uh sent them to me, and of course, some of them immediately uh went out to some very, very uh well, let me just put it. I I I have a couple for myself, and I did give uh my mom and my sister and a few people one like that, you know. But I was like, okay. I have less than 90 of these left that I can sell because what I did was I took them and I put a velvet outfit, a black velvet outfit on every one, and then uh I made the little storybooks, and I got my team together, and this thing it got more and more elaborate as time went on. At first, it was just gonna be, well, here's a doll, and here's a chain and a lock. And then it was like, well, here's a doll, and now here's a chain and a lock and a storybook. And then it's like, well, here's a doll, and here's a chain and a lock and a storybook, but let's put it in a nice box that's got some nice tissue and all that. And then it's like, well, what are we gonna why don't we seal the box with something cool? Oh, cool. Well, now let's seal the box with like a jingle bell necklace, uh, and a special sticker that can go on there. And and next thing you knew, there was like 12 or 13 little elements that were all coming together. I mean, it was it was much more elaborate until I but it it you'll see if you go to crumpusbuster.com how it turned out. So I have less than 90 of these boxes. And if you get one, when you open it, and of course it comes just like you see on on the website, you you'll get it in a nice little box. It's it the doll is about eight inches tall. Okay, it's a hard resin head, and uh it'll it's in this box that's got the jingle bell necklace and the and the very rare sticker, and then you open the box, and here is the doll with the storybook, and underneath it is a little baggie that has the chain and the lock. And basically, the idea is for those of you who get one of these to turn it into a Christmas tradition. This doll is designed to bring you good fortune for the holidays and the following year by allowing you to bind up any negative energies using the special chain and lock there. Because, you know, crumpus energy can be imagined as swirling around you and your loved ones, and imagine it being condensed in this doll. So you and your loved ones can just envision all your holiday stress in the doll, and then you ceremoniously bind it with the chain, lock it away forever. You keep the anti-crumpus doll on display throughout the holidays, and it will ward off all the negative energies, only allowing positive blessings to flow into your life and household. So the idea is that when you set him up, this this is going to be a tradition in your home forever. So that it'll he'll become part of your annual holiday decorations. So there's nothing in the world like this. It's I'm telling you, it's created from scratch here. And I don't know if I'll ever make them again, but if I do, like I say, I seriously doubt it will be this elaborate. This is a very rare thing. Um, because it's again, it's it's so much more complex. So I hope you realize it's a rare once in a life. Work of magic and art, and it's independently made and entirely handcrafted by me and my small team here in the United States. So again, when these sell out, they're gone and probably forever. So the website is crumpusbuster.com, K-R-A-M-P-U-S, B-U-S-T-E-R, Crumpusbuster.com. And since these things are going to sell out quickly, I I hope that you have you know some good luck getting one. And I do want to make note here that they're all done and they're sitting there at our warehouse. Mobius is ready to ship them out immediately as orders come in because we know you'd like to get yours in time for Christmas. But I'm just going to be honest with you. Um so when I look at the webpage here, it says you're going to get the eight-inch, that's 20 centimeter doll with resin head and velvet clothes. Number two, the lock and chain. Number three, my mini storybook called The Story of the Mean Old Crumpass. Number four, the Jingle Bell Necklace. Number five, all this stuff packaged in a nice, nice uh gift box with a special sticker there and red tissue paper. But if you live outside of the USA, you might not receive this before December 25th, 2020. You might or you might not. I don't know. Shipping has been so ridiculous this year because of COVID stuff. And now you add Christmas on top of it. I mean, and also the election that put a lot of stress on the mail system here and going in and out of the U.S. And what's funny is that people get frustrated because nowadays, a lot of times, because the Postal Service gets overwhelmed, um, when you send something, it gets assigned a tracking number, and then it never tracks until boom, it's delivered. So people like to watch the tracking number and see uh where their item is going to be at a certain time. But often, I mean, I order stuff for myself all the time, and I see this as a customer. You order something and it doesn't track, and then boom, you see it arrive. And the reason is, and I can tell you as somebody who ships a lot of stuff every year, the reason is right now the postal service is not focused on tracking the entire journey, they're focused on the destination and delivery confirmation. And and if you don't realize that, then you know I'm telling you, that's the truth. So, and if you if you ship one of these to another country, it has to go through their customs. And believe it or not, there are some countries out there that will not accept some of the things that I sell because they're considered, you know, magical items and there is some kind of religious custom or whatever, and they just they won't accept it. And it gets sent back to us. But I just want you to rest assured, um, if you order it, we're gonna put it in the mail immediately, and wherever you are in the world, you'll get it as soon as possible. But you might not get it uh by December 25th. It doesn't do us any good to email us for tracking updates. I mean, you know, you just have to take our word for it. And here's the here's the tracking number, it's there, and it will get there someday. Because this is such a limited batch and it's such a special, unique thing, all sales are final. You're not gonna get a refund for any reason on this. Uh, and also you can only order this by itself. Now, you can order more than one, but you can only order it by itself, so you can't combine it with other items, and I say that because that might slow down the shipping process. And our our goal is to get it to you as directly as possible. And as usual, you don't need a PayPal account to purchase. You know, if you have one, you can use it. If not, there is a way to purchase with any kind of debit or credit card. So, anyway, that's the long and the short of it. And so all you have to do if you want one of these is go to crumpusbuster.com, K-R-A-M-P-U-S, B-U-S-T-E-R.com, crumpusbuster.com. And also when you get there, um you'll see whether or not it's in stock. So there basically it's the site setup. So if it's the it'll either say in green letters, oh, it's in stock, or in red letters, out of stock, or when we get really low, like we only have a few left, it'll say may or may not be in stock. And at that point, you just have to click the add to cart button, and it and then you will find out whether or not it's in stock. It will tell you if it's out of stock. So that's how we have this set up for this particular item. So I hope you realize um that honestly, this product is it's not a big moneymaker, it's it's more of something I always wanted to do. And if I get a good response to it, then I will think in the future about possibly doing more stuff like this. But I've never created um uh a magical doll before. I've never created an item that's specifically geared toward Christmas like this. And so I I really sort of think of this as being more of a gift from me to you than anything. Um I I again I didn't really do this because I'm gonna make some you know ton of money off of it. Uh, I'm practically giving them away at the special price that I have right now. But I I think it's cool and I want it to be a part of your home, and that's why right now it comes with free shipping and handling anywhere in the world. So that's something that I've been up to, and this is my official last product of the year 2020, and I don't think I'll be putting out anything else for a while. I'm almost sold out on a lot of stuff that I have, but uh the winter is going to be a time where I'm gonna focus on, you know, just really catching up on a lot of research that I'm behind on. So I I uh I my my schedule's pretty much uh down pat with podcasting now that I'm doing my new podcast called Strange Things on the Coast to Coast AM Paranormal Podcast Network, which of course is part of iHeartRadio, they're very particular about that. I have to say, you're listening to Strange Things on the iHeartRadio and Coast to Coast AM Paranormal Podcast Network. Um, and so if you go to StrangeThingshow.com, strangethingshow.com, you'll find a bunch of different links there where you can listen to the show in different ways. And also, uh, my wife Lauren, she is a subscriber to Spotify. I don't know if you I don't know that you I it might be free to get certain accounts with Spotify. I don't know. But she said if you sign up for a Spotify account, you can download uh Strange Things and listen to it offline as well. So there are all kinds of options for listening to Strange Things. Again, StrangethingsShow.com will give you a lot of different links you can choose from. So this is again this is a special report, but I hope that you will uh again be one of the lucky people to get the anti-crumpus doll. If so, I look forward to hearing about your experiences with it and how your holidays turn out. And uh otherwise, keep listening to Strange Things and keep your subscription to Joshua P. Warren Daily for more special reports from time to time, behind the scenes stuff. You just never know what I might post on this feed for you. So good talking to you again on the Joshua P. Warren Daily feed. I guess that's it. So thank you for listening. Thank you for your interest and support. Thank you for staying curious. I will be talking to you again soon, and I wish you very, very truly, more than ever, an extremely happy, wonderful, and magical holiday season. So that said Happy New Year! It'll be here soon. I can't wait. How about you? Twenty twenty just it doesn't seem like it's gonna end. Can't wait for that new year. All right, guys. Thanks again. Bye bye.
