Today on Crime & Entertainment, we have former Army Veteran, Paul Schiffbauer. After the Army, Paul got a civilian job that led him to eventually head a criminal enterprise. Originally hired to collect money from vending machines, Paul soon learned the real purpose of this company, which was to run an illegal gambling operation. This was the early ‘90s in Maryland, and video poker games were a very lucrative business. Paul moved up within the organization. He eventually ended up rubbing elbows with politicians who were making “political donations” that were really pay-offs. He was also heavily involved in racketeering, money laundering, bribery, fraud, and extortion. However, this whole empire came crashing down as Paul details in todays episode.
