While we have a need to focus on the Lord rather than on the distractions, fears, and conflicts in the world, that brings us to the realization that our Creator loves us, and He is in control. In that, we can love ourselves and with His guidance and to learn to love those who are different than ourselves.
But Jesus instructs that we also love our enemies (see Matthew 5). How can we do this?
I share how the Lord walked me through the journey of being able to not only forgive, but to also love and even pray for my enemy. Maybe this will help you in this quandary?
