In Psalm 38,
David suffers from the weight of his sins & the consequences that followed. He cries out in repentance, asking for deliverance from his enemies.
Psalm 39,
David acknowledges that life on earth – and all the things of it – are only temporary. But his hope is in the Lord.
Psalm 40,
Especially verses 1-3, I can relate to in my own life, so much so that my latest book release is based upon it, “A New Song Rises Up!” by Carin Jayne Caesy. When facing challenges, disasters, enemies, and grief, we can Turn to God for deliverance.
Psalm 41,
We praise God for His mercy to the weak and needy. He is our rescue.
