Karen shares the blurb on the back of the book to give children extra time to find their book or Kindle version to read along with her. She presents these young raccoon siblings busy in pretend games until they suddenly notice an animal on the ground ahead. They discover the animal is an injured bobcat, their enemy.
What will these raccoons do? Bravely, they decide to help. In that, they demonstrate for children an example of following the Golden Rule, to do for others as you’d like them to do for you. Also, they were Good Samaritans, like in the Biblical story that Jesus had shared.
Once home, their mother rewarded them for helping an animal in need. They were given a delicious meal.
Children enjoy this beautifully illustrated and adventurous picture book, filled with adorable animal interactions while they’re encouraged to help others. Reader age group recommended is six to nine years old.
