Not only was Aretha Franklin honorarily the “Queen of Soul” she was also always know as the “Original Diva”. With a voice as big as her personality, she never shied away from any performance and always gave 100 percent. Growing up in the church and continuing those gospel influences throughout her career, she is an undisputed voice of an entire generation. With fierce wit, spirit and talent it is easy to see how she has become one of the most honoured divas we will cover this season.
