Chronicles of the End Times

Kingdoms at War: From Seattle Streets to Child Exploitation Battles

Russ Scalzo

Send us a text

A violent clash erupts at a Christian worship event in Seattle, Washington, capturing headlines around the world and pushing all the way to the White House. What started as a peaceful outreach with free haircuts and grocery giveaways transforms into a flashpoint when protesters storm the stage, throw objects including cans of soup, and perform lewd acts in front of children.

Revival leader Ross Johnson shares his remarkable perspective, having been born through artificial insemination and raised in a lesbian household before encountering Christianity as a teenager. His story complicates the simplistic narratives often applied to culture war conflicts. When the city denied their original venue request and redirected them to Cal Anderson Park—known as an LGBTQ-friendly space—God's orchestration became evident as an unintended audience encountered the gospel message.

The spiritual battle raging in Seattle mirrors larger conflicts throughout society. Tim Tebow's ministry fighting child exploitation reveals the darkness lurking beneath American society's surface, with over 111,000 unique IP addresses downloading child abuse material in a single month.

These clashing kingdoms—light versus darkness—reveal how close we are to the fulfillment of biblical prophecy. The increasing frequency of events resembling birth pangs suggests we're approaching a pivotal moment in history. While revival breaks out across the nation, God seeks His faithful remnant who will stand firm despite opposition and bring light to the darkest corners of our world. Will you join this spiritual battle and be counted among those making a difference in these end times?

Welcome everyone. This is Russ Scalzo Chronicles of the End Times. Thank you for being with me today. Today, we're going to get into some spiritual warfare. We will be talking about the real-life world and what's going on. Today, we are going to be covering a story from Seattle, Washington. Some of you may know about it, where a riot broke out at a Christian gathering, at a Christian outreach.

The devil sometimes thinks he's going to throw a monkey wrench into things, and he's going to get his people going to try to destroy his work. But, as you'll hear in this story, God is in control of every detail, so we're going to cover a lot today. There are a lot of things going on in the world. As always, we're going to be covering stuff like this in the United States, and then also we're going to be looking, of course, towards the Middle East, Russia, the Ukraine, things that are going on everywhere as God, the Father, prepares this world for the coming and the eventual coronation of His Son, the Lord Jesus Christ. We are living in the most exciting moment in history. Check out the story.

A violent riot broke out at a worship service in Seattle, and it's catching headlines all around the world. Well, Ross Johnson, one of the co-leaders of this revival event, joins us now. So, Ross, a lot is being said about this event. What actually?

What happened. Well, I can tell you that in the last 72 hours, it has been the wildest three days of my entire life in and outside of ministry. It's reached the White House and the UK Daily Mail. I mean it's reaching not just local and national but international news. And so, we showed up at Cal Anderson Park and, as we were there, we received reports the night before that there would be some protesters. So, we're welcoming protesters, we want anybody there, even if you disagree with us. Not to mention, we know you're going to get under the presence of God, you're going to hear worship, you're going to listen to the gospel. Sounds like a win to me.

And so, as I'm on stage, our main event was supposed to start at 5 pm. We arrived at 1 pm because we were giving away free haircuts and grocery giveaways. We really just wanted to bless the community. But we quickly learned that the protesters weren't going to be peaceful and had another agenda in mind. And so, as I'm out on the stage, I look to my left and see protesters. They're about 10, 15, and 20 feet away from the stage. You know they have signs up. You know they're giving us certain fingers on their hand. They're saying a lot of different things. So I recognized really quickly okay, this isn't just going to be, you know, a few rowdy people here, we have a real situation on our hand, and so, long story short, I'm on stage, I look to my left, a guy starts beelining it directly for me from the protester line.

He's like I'm going to do it, and I'm on our side. And not to mention, while the kids were getting haircuts, there were sexual, you know, explicit, lewd acts being done directly in front of the children. And so, this isn't your cute Christian story. Today, we are looking at evil in its face, and we are here to expose it as the body of Christ.

Who were some of the groups that were protesting?

Yeah, so we had Antifa of Christ, who were some of the groups that were protesting. Yeah, so we had Antifa. Trans-tifa, the Communist Party of America, yes, you heard that right, that is an actual group that showed up. We had clergy from the city who affirmed same-sex attraction and same-sex marriage. They showed up as well. I mean, we had the entire gauntlet, so to speak. We had every base covered of protesters, those who disagree with us, on all different sides, and it's essential to understand a few other things with all the media coverage and all the media reports.

You know, Anderson Park, to be honest, is the beast of the belly right. That park is known as an LGBTQ specific park. You know, it's very quote unquote inclusive. All the different communities gather there almost like a central point, and so they felt that community. Those protesters felt that we were attacking them, and we were trying to elicit a response. But what they don't know is we actually tried to get a permit for Pike's Place, a completely different location. The city refused and said, hey, we recommend Cal Anderson Park and we're like, are you sure you want to do that? Like, we are open to it. We want to worship peacefully, we want to gather lawfully, but just recognize what that's going to look like, and so that's ultimately why we chose that park and why we went there.

A pure example of how God is in control of everything. Once we decide to step out and be the light and the salt that God intended us to be, he's there to bless. He is there to open doors that we never dreamed possible, like in this case open doors that even they didn't plan on having open. The town turns them down, points them in a direction that they weren't thinking about going, but they went, and God had his way. God's message to the church is simple Be strong in the Lord and in the strength of his might. Put on the whole armor of God that you may be able to stand against the schemes of the devil. For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against rulers, against authorities, against cosmic powers over this present darkness. Cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in heavenly places. Listen, folks, we're not coming against some little wimpy spirit somewhere. We are coming against the very powers of darkness that control this entire world, because we represent the kingdom of God. We are no longer part of this world. We are now part of the kingdom of God. Whatever we related to before our ethnicity, our family, backgrounds all those things are still important to us, but now we are part of the kingdom of God, a whole different realm.

Remember, Jesus said If you're not willing to leave father and mother, brother and sister for me, you're not worthy of me. And that's hard words. But what was he saying? He was saying don't you understand? You can still love your parents; you can still love your children and your family. That's what God wants you to do, but you need to love me more. That's what he was saying. I'm the one you need to follow now. So, let's take this story another step further. This next little clip is just, to me, mind-blowing. You talk about how God can set stuff up. That blows your mind. Let's listen to this.

06:58

Yeah, I was born by artificial insemination. I grew up in a lesbian household with two moms. I had never been in church my whole life. 15 years old, a friend invites me to church. I encountered the presence of Jesus, and I was an easy one. I said I want more of this. I want to know who God is, I want to know who Jesus is. I want you, holy Spirit. And in that moment, I became a born-again Christian, which obviously adds a layer to this, because they're saying that we hate the community and all these different things. And I'm like wait, I have a lesbian mom till this day who I love, who I have a great relationship with. I've shared the gospel with her. She's a financial donor in my ministry. I mean, you can't make this story up. And so that's how the Lord met me and how he transformed my life.

07:35

That is truly an amazing story how God can orchestrate these things and another example of how much Jesus loves the world. He's constantly reaching out to every one of us, telling us how much he loves us, what he can do for us, how he wants to make us a child of God. He wants to make us clean. He wants to restore our minds, restore our hearts and set us on a new path, a path that is an eternal path, one that we can be with him forever and enjoy his amazing love, kindness and glory and creativeness. It's beyond our imaginations what he has for us, for those that love him. It's incredible what God can do when we put our hearts towards him.

08:21

In the book of Revelation, chapter 18, it talks about Babylon and the fall of Babylon. It talks about all the greatness of Babylon. At that time, the kings of the earth who committed sexual immorality and lived in luxury with her will weep over her when they see the smoke of her burning. They will stand off in fear for her torment. And part of what goes on in Babylon and this is figuratively, spiritually, and physically is slaves, the buying and selling and trading of human souls. And the greatest slave market today is child pornography, and we don't hear nearly enough about it. It could be because some of the people that are in charge who could do something about it. Maybe they're involved themselves. It is a very lucrative business. After listening to that story, we hear those parts about where those disgusting things were done in front of the children. This country is obsessed with their sexuality. How can we get more pleasure into our lives? How can we satisfy ourselves more and more in every way possible? It is truly a demonic force of influence that is over millions. As we think about living in spiritual Babylon today and all the things that are going on around us, there are two kingdoms at war the kingdom of God and the kingdom of the enemy, Satan and this world. This next story goes right along with that.

09:51

I don't know if you know Tim Tebow. I'm sure that most of you know of him. He's a former quarterback, Heisman Trophy winner, national champion for the Florida Gators. He played for the Denver Broncos, led them into the playoffs, played some baseball as well, but more than that, he is a light. He is a burning coal for Jesus Christ. He loves the Lord, and he is vocal about it, been criticized for it, and some of those criticisms have come from Christians, but he's involved in a ministry that is about saving children. He is establishing an advanced victim identification training to combat sexual exploitation and rescue over 50,000 unidentified victims of child pornography. It's truly one of the darkest evils we face. It's imperative for us to hear a little bit of this interview done by Sean Ryan. He has over 4 million followers on YouTube. It's over three hours so you'd have to break it down and listen to it at different times, but it is worth your time. But today we'll just concentrate on the ministry that he has to save these children. Let's listen to a small clip.

Well, I think our biggest heart, as a ministry, as a foundation, as a team as a like we would call ourselves a family is trying to go to dark places to bring light, trying to go to places of crisis, chaos and conflict and bring light to go to the hurting. We know that our God is near to the brokenhearted, so scripture says don't know exactly what that means, but I know, if God's near to the brokenhearted man, I want to be too. I want to be too. I want to be near and with the hurting, so that we could share faith, hope and love, we could protect them, we could defend them, we could stand up for them. And this fight against trafficking and exploitation it's, in my opinion, one of the greatest evils in the world, or maybe a better way to say it, one of the worst evils in the world. As I mentioned earlier, you think so much is done by all these groups and gangs and, yes, that does take place in a lot of areas but, man, it's overwhelming when you think how much is done by families, by friends, by those in the trusted circle, and especially when we talk about the fight against child exploitation and child sexual abuse. It's off the charts of what is being done in the families. Do you know the number one offender? Biological fathers.

I brought a map to share with you. So, first of all, that is a DOJ law enforcement map called the Red Dot Map. This is over the last 30 days and every red dot on that map is at least one unique IP address of individuals downloading, sharing, distributing child abuse and rape images under the age of 12. And there's over 111,000 of them just in the US of the last 30 days. I wanted to bring that because I think it brings to life so much of the evil that we're trying to face and people will say, well, that's just over there and it's in those countries and it's all of those places. And it's not Sean, it's right here in our backyard, it is right here. Some people will say, okay, well, they're just downloading and sharing it and distributing it, and but they're not.

55 to 85 percent are also hands-on offenders and your average offender has 13 victims in their lifetime, 13 victims. Every one of those red dot mat, red dots is there's a boy or girl that is suffering on the other end of what they're sharing, downloading or distributing. And I just I wanted to share that with you, because I know that your heart breaks for them and I think that map brings to life the evil that we're trying to fight and it's why, you know, one of our hearts is to get the Renewed Hope Act passed through Congress because it takes the law enforcement officers right now and victim identification officers at C3, and they're amazing, some of my favorite people in the world, but there's seven of them right now at C3. There's how many?

Speaker 3Host

13:59

Seven, seven people to come down. Yes, and also.

Speaker 4Host

14:01

ICACs are working on that. We love ICAC and we need to enhance their funding because they desperately need it. Internet Crimes Against Children and their awesome 62 locations around the country, but primarily the ones that are also working on this are at C3. And we want to get the Renewed Hope Pass because it would take it from seven to 200. And now we have a much greater chance if we have all of those officers that are trained and equipped to be fighting against this evil. And again, that's the last 30 days.

14:29

If you just take a moment and think about what God sees from heaven. He sees every sin, he sees every corruption, every vile act that's done, whether in the dark or in broad daylight, and he still hasn't turned this earth into a cinder. Maybe you and I would have the gracious love of God is long-suffering with this world so he could have a family, so he could reach out, so people can turn from their wicked ways. Our God is amazing, so loving and so kind. But my point here is that we criticize other nations. There's a lot of criticism for Israel right now and somehow, we here in America, especially those of us who call ourselves Christians sometimes we stand on a pedestal and think you know America, you know we're America, you know God bless America, and I want God to bless America too. But we have to realize how far we have fallen, and we have to realize how close we are to all the fulfillment of Bible prophecy.

15:32

Before the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ, there's a lot more going on than just pestilence, earthquakes, and wars. You put those altogether and you can see how rapidly and closer together those birth pains are coming. Every day that goes by it's a little closer and a little closer, and those birth pangs become consecutive, one right after another, and you know the time is here. So, I hope you've been inspired today to live for Jesus, to talk about Jesus and to pray, no matter what other job we have on this earth that takes preeminence. Revival is breaking out in different parts of the country, but God is looking for the remnant. Don't think the whole world will get saved and skip merrily down the road. God is looking for his remnant right now. So, let's pray that we'll all be a part of that. This is Russ Scalzo for Chronicles of the End Times. Keep looking up. King is coming.
