Occasionally, people say, are we really in the last days? How do we know? Does it matter one way or another? We will try to answer these questions and many others in this study. But the most important question may be, how can we reach others with hope in these changing times? One part of prophecy is often emphasized over another, causing us to lose perspective and miss the blessing and beauty of prophecy in scripture. I have taken the information in this study from many authors and teachers who have their lives studying God's word. I have added some insight that the Holy Spirit taught me. With God's help, I have endeavored to keep the whole counsel of the word of God in full view to give us an accurate picture of Christ and His great love for a lost world. I pray that this will challenge you and cause you to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, as it has me preparing it. Let's begin!

Just when you think it can't get any crazier, it does. We have riots breaking out in California, people standing for Hamas waving Palestinian flags in the United States of America with no appreciation of how they got those privileges and how it was bought with the blood of millions.
Speaker 1:Today I'm going to be sharing some clips from Melanie Phillips, a British journalist, and her wake-up call to the nation of Israel and to the West. She beautifully points out how far we've gone down the slide and how great the deception that we have all swallowed. There's something else I'd like to address today that I feel very strongly about. What kind of awakening is going to transpire? What is God planning? There are those that believe it's going to transform the United States. It's going to transform the world. It's going to transform the world and we're going to head into some kind of spiritual nirvana. Yes, god is going to do what he does reach people. He loves people. God is doing amazing things for those who have ears to hear and hearts that want to listen.
Speaker 1:Bible prophecy is like a train track it has two rails and they run together simultaneously. And that's exactly what's happening here in the last days. We have evil on the move. It's everywhere, we can see it. It's at epidemic proportions. You can see this example of the two rails running together and what's happening in California right now. You have people rioting in the streets and the leaders of California telling you that the answer is give everyone green cards and everything will be fine. Really, when we see videos of a man holding a Mexican flag standing on top of a burning car and an American flag burning off in the distance, we're seeing the reason why they shouldn't be here and the reason why those who are supporting them should be put in jail. On the flip side, you have 27,000 people baptized in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit over the weekend in California. So this is my point exactly that these two rails, these two prophetic destinations one evil and one righteous will continue to ride side by side and grow in significance and impact as we get closer to the coming of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Speaker 1:The insane part is what these people are protesting against and what a lot of the left is promoting. If this country was like they want to make it, who would want to come here? The reason people want to come here is because the United States was built on certain principles that made it prosperous, and once you take those principles and throw them out the door, you will have a country that looks like the countries all these people are running from. What makes the West and nations like it appealing and desirable is because of the laws and the way that we live, based on Christian Judeo principles, the Bible. That's why we're blessed. That's why we have what we have Now, those that are coming from other places. Unlike our parents and grandparents, who came and couldn't wait to become Americans and chip in, they want to change it to the same country they ran away from.
Speaker 1:I don't get it, do you? It's part of the lawlessness. It's a spirit, a very strong, influential spirit, that has fallen like a mist over the nation. Things are going dark so fast, yet most of the church in America is blind to it, but there are many who see it God is not pleased with his church and his country. When I say that, it's a general statement. Obviously there are those who are following close to Christ, who are doing the work of God, who are boldly sharing Jesus Christ where they go. We cannot compromise. God is not pleased with church leaders who are more concerned about their popularity and their church growth than they are about the truth and about repentance and people changing their lives. God's not pleased.
Speaker 1:We were never told to turn the United States or any other country into heaven. We were told to reach and teach people about Jesus, to pull them out of the fire, as it were. We are warriors in this world. I've said this so many times, but I hope that we can all remember it. The church is not designed to fit in. We're designed to stand out. Everywhere Jesus went, he stood out. Whether he was hanging out with the rich or the poor or the religious, he was always Jesus. His message was the same, his love was the same. His word of warning was the same. That's what we're supposed to be. We're not supposed to be anything different than that Loving people. In truth, that's been the plan from the beginning. Speaker 2:Opinion polling reveals that nearly half of young Americans now support Hamas. In Britain, people are losing their childhood friends just because they've posted onto Facebook a picture of themselves on holiday in Israel. People are not prepared to give Israel's side even the time of day. The narrative that is now the default position in public debate among Britain's cultural elites is that Israel is a rogue state guilty of war crimes. Such double standards, demonization and systematic lies are applied to no other people, nation or cause on earth. It's a level of obsession and hysteria that suggests a pathology is at work, but it's across the West. It's as if both Hitler and Stalin have achieved posthumous victory through mass brainwashing in demonization of the Jewish people, enforced by an intelligentsia punishing anyone who dares challenge the lies.
Speaker 1:That's quite a statement, don't you think it's amazing how people's minds can be turned completely upside down. Many of you are familiar with the scripture that says woe to those who call evil good and good evil. The scary part to me is the news media. Now, we've all talked about that before, but it's so blatant. The BBC is still pounding away at Israel for genocide. Yet, if you're familiar with the latest news, the US has joined Israel in feeding the Gazans hundreds of thousands of meals. Some estimates go as high as two billion meals have been given out and served right to the people, but yet the UN and other agencies just wanted to just dump it into Gaza and let Hamas deal with it. And that's what they were doing. They were stealing it from the people, then selling it back to them so they could finance their war, but you don't hear that.
Speaker 1:That, to me, is the scary part, and that's where I can see, in the future, persecution coming to the true church, because truth to this world is what is convenient to believe. It's such a shame because there's so much good information available, just to go on YouTube and if we're smart and we look around and search, we can find those networks independent networks that are showing you exactly what's happening. They're not just telling you. They're showing you in interviews, live interviews and video. But unfortunately, most of the West is captivated by social media. I'd rather sit there and stare at some video that's lowering their IQ by the second than to find out the truth. And the saddest part of all is those are the people that are ready to run out into the street and jump up and down about all the things that are going wrong that they actually have no facts or idea about. Speaker 2:We've all gone through the looking glass. How can this have happened? Well, to understand this, we have to see this in the context of what the West has been doing to itself. For decades. It has subjected itself to an onslaught on its core institutions and values. Having said that, the West was born in sin. It's had to destroy its core values and institutions. The Western nation state was held to be the source of division and war. It had to be superseded by transnational institutions and laws the UN, the International Criminal Court, international law itself. There was no such thing as truth, only what is true for me. Well, if there's no such thing as truth, there's no such thing as lies, and so lies can be accepted. Everything is personal opinion. Feelings trump facts. Who actually is the aggressor and who is the victim is irrelevant. The only victims are those who are not in the West's ruling class.
Speaker 1:I find it interesting that the Dark Ages followed the fall of Rome. There is many things written about Rome. You could study it for many years, quite extensive. We all know the sin of Rome and all the bad things that are equated with it. But there was a lot of good as far as organization and rule and laws. But after the fall of Rome, europe began to fall in disarray. There were many wars. It was a bloody time In many places in Europe. It became barbaric and chaotic and, above all, lawlessness.
Speaker 1:We can make comparisons to the West and Rome and it seems to me that there's a great push by the enemy to bring chaos, to bring confusion, and in a time when we are supposed to be great intellectuals, we are spiritually ignorant and in fact, complete chaos and war is ahead of us. According to the scriptures, if you get deep into prayer you can sense it. Like the saying goes, it's the darkest before the dawn. But keep in mind that we are the light of the world and your neighbors and your friends and those that you work with desperately need Jesus. So let's all pray together, pray for one another that we will have boldness and allow the Holy Spirit to lead us that we might bear fruit for the kingdom of God and lead many to salvation and to a glorious future.
