Chronicles of the End Times

Faith, Prophecy, and Israel: Are you ready for what comes next.

Anti-Semitism is reaching frightening new heights worldwide. From the shocking "Kill the IDF" chants at Glastonbury Music Festival to growing hostility toward Israel, we're witnessing prophecy unfold before our eyes. What's particularly disturbing is how quickly the original context—Hamas' October 7th attack that killed 1,200 Israelis—is forgotten in these displays of animosity.

This episode dives deeply into the spiritual battle underlying current events. The well-off young people enjoying freedom at music festivals while calling for Israel's destruction represent a profound irony—they reject the very Judeo-Christian values that created the free, prosperous societies they enjoy. Douglas Murray, who witnessed the October 7th aftermath firsthand, highlights this moral failure and identifies a pattern: today's anti-Israel sentiment will eventually target Christians too when belief systems clash.

Drawing from personal experience and Scripture, we explore how believers must develop spiritual discernment to hear God's voice amid competing messages. Just as sheep respond only to their shepherd's voice—illustrated through a powerful story from Norway—Christians must recognize divine truth amid chaos. We examine two critical prophetic markers: Israel's miraculous 1948 restoration (fulfilling Isaiah 66 and Jeremiah 16) and Jesus' warnings in Matthew 24 about persecution, apostasy, and false teaching preceding His return. The coming years will likely see dramatic shifts in how the church operates, with authentic ministry happening in homes and small gatherings rather than megachurches. Stay in the Word, keep praying, and remain watchful—the King is coming!

00:12

Welcome, everyone. This is Russ Scalzo in the Lord Jesus Christ. Today, we have a lot to cover, including a significant amount of news from the last week, most of it not good. We have the flood in Texas, which, tragically, over 90 people, men, women, and children, have died. Just an absolute, awful tragedy. And they're still looking for bodies. We have friends and people who are going out there now to help find the missing people and do what they can to bring some comfort and peace to those who are distraught, and across the pond, as they say in England.

01:02

And take a look at the Glastonbury Music Festival, where chants of kill the IDF rang clear over thousands of people that joined in in this chant death to the IDF, which, if you know anything about the situation in Israel, everyone 18 and over must serve at least two years because Israel has to fight for their lives. And it seems pretty crazy to me that everybody always forgets how this started. None of this would have ever happened if Hamas hadn't invaded Israel on October 7th and killed 1,200 people, abducted hundreds, and injured thousands, but that's always overlooked. As terrible as this tragedy was and is, and everything else that's transpired after it, is all part of what's happening here in the last days, the anti-Semitism climbing to new heights around the world, not just arguing, not just disagreeing, not just debating, but pouring out hate that cries out for the death of the IDF, the death of Israel, and the anti-IDF chant, as well as the chants that went out that said you're not getting your country back. We own it now. Scary stuff. Check it out.

Now let's go to the UK. We've had the orgy of hate at Glastonbury Music Festival. Pascal Robinson Foster, I've got to say I'd never heard of him until this week. That's the name of the individual who initiated the ‘Death to IDF’ chant and other chants on stage, enthusiastically backed by the crowd. We saw plenty more political statements, all in the same direction. These young, privileged people at a music festival really have no empathy for people very similar to them who were slaughtered at the Nova Music Festival less than two years ago.

Speaker 4

03:12

It's astonishing, isn't it? I mean, instinct one has on it in a way. Is you know to wish that these morons at Glastonbury ever got a glimpse of what the innocent young people at the Nova Festival saw on the morning of October 7th? The fact that not much more than a year and a half after the massacre of hundreds of young people at the Nova Festival, another music festival, Glastonbury, would keep on having artists coming out in favor of the people who did the attacks and not on the side of the victims.

03:46

It's not like it should be a hard one, that. Are you on the side of the big bearded rapists and torturers and murderers and kidnappers, or are you on the side of the innocent young people dancing in the early hours of the morning at the Nova Festival? These people have decided they're on the side of the rapists and the torturers and the killers and the kidnappers. He led the crowd in these chants of um, that you say you want your country back, and all the time with projections on the back of the stage about, uh, the fact that immigrants built Britain and much more. This is almost perfectly created to be as divisive and hate-filled a message as possible. he was saying to white British people, you're not going to get your country back. People like me are taking your country.

04:36

In case you're not familiar with Douglas Murray, he's a writer, a reporter, a journalist, and he was there the day after the slaughter, on October 7th, so it's fresh in his mind. He saw it. He saw the burnt bodies. He saw children lying dead on top of their parents, babies slaughtered, so he saw it all. Now, you may agree with some of these things, or you may not. If you're listening to this podcast, you may have your own opinion, but I pray that you verify your sources and get the accurate picture of what's happening. However, beyond all that, I want to make a key point. When you see the video of all these people raising these Palestinian flags and chanting along with him Death to the IDF, and you look at the crowd, it is primarily a white, well-off group of young people enjoying themselves in a pleasant atmosphere of freedom, where they have plenty. How did they get that way? Maybe it was because of where they live. Upon examination, it doesn't make any sense at all, and typically these groups are advocating for revolution and want to change the way things are. Well, if you want to change the way things are. You need to bring something better than what exists.

05:48

I’m not sure about you, but the West is where everybody wants to be. If their countries are so great, why are they here? Why do they go to England, Italy, Germany, France, and the United States? It's so obvious. The Judeo-Christian belief system, the faith of these people, and how they lived shaped Western civilization. It makes it one of the few sane places to live in this entire world. So what do they want to bring to the West? Chaos, a culture that doesn't work, a culture of hate. They speak about love, but there is no love. There's only love for themselves and for what they want to do.

06:30

Now, where am I going from here? The Church of Jesus Christ needs to wake up, and I know I sound like some guy who believes he's a voice crying out in the wilderness. I don't feel that way, but how can I deny what I see? This type of hate is growing, and it's not going to end with the Jewish people. It's not going to end with Israel. They're going to come after the Christians next, because our belief system does not line up with their belief system. So what we have here is a spiritual war for the survival of the world as we know it. If you think I'm overstating that, I pray that God will open your eyes to what's happening.

07:09

Now. How important is it for us to be able to hear the voice of God through all this noise, all this confusion, in a world where millions of podcasts are yelling at us, where social media is dominating our time, when we should be reading the Word of God and listening to sound teaching? I browse YouTube daily, looking for new information, checking on different parts of the world, and evaluating what people are saying. I see so many YouTube channels. The rapture is near. I see a picture of the east gate of Jerusalem. Strange things are happening. Could the Messiah be near, you know? And it just goes on and on and on. And they have thousands, sometimes hundreds of thousands of views. This, to me, is a barometer. What is it saying? We have no idea what God says. We have no idea what the word of God says, and beyond that, we're not hearing His voice, and that is alarming.

08:17

I recently participated in a service for one of my best friends, who was just an amazing Christian. He asked me if I would help him record his memoirs. We started that some months ago, and I was privileged to be a part of it. We're good friends, and I just wanted to make sure he got those done. It turned out to be like seven hours. Amazing stuff. I mean, none of it was boring.

08:41

This guy was an amazing individual. He talked about his family and shared his experiences with the Lord, as well as the various jobs he had, and how God had used him through them. But I want to play just a little piece, just a couple of minutes, of when he was talking about sheep. He went to Norway, and there, in Norway, were different, smaller islands. They would move the sheep from one island to another. He went to Norway, and there, in Norway, were different, smaller islands. They would move the sheep from one island to the next, ensuring there was enough grass for the sheep and allowing the land to recover between islands. It's an interesting story. It's a great example of how the sheep only hear the shepherd's voice. Take a listen.

09:20

One of the things they did during the summer was move the sheep from one island to another. Now, the reason they did that was to prevent overgrazing. So, what they were doing was using a flat-bottomed boat. They would come to an island and call the sheep, and the sheep would come. There's another valuable biblical lesson to be learned from this.

Additionally, we tried calling the sheep, but they wouldn't come to us. But when Magna would call, the sheep recognized his voice. And when they recognized his voice, they went to the edge of the island, and then they knew that it was time to get into the boat, and so they knew it was time to move to another island. And so it was funny because we were on this one island. Magnus said Go ahead and try calling them. So I was doing zzzz, you know, and they just ignored me. But when he called, they knew it was him and they came.

10:24

And there's scripture in the Gospel of John where Jesus said My sheep hear my voice and they know me. In the New Testament, again in the Gospel of John, when the sheep listen to the voice, they're going to see that it's the voice of the shepherd that's going to be there for them, and it's the sheep who understand and hear the voice of the shepherd. And when they listen to that voice, that's when they're able to move. And that's important because it keeps the wrong person from basically stealing the sheep.

10:54

That was a pretty cool story. That was the last session we conducted before he passed away. There are so many voices out there. We need to know and discern which is which. We are being inundated, barraged by all this, and a lot of the time, it's just someone's opinion or someone who has an ax to grind, and it's not worth listening to. We need to tune ourselves in to hear the facts. When we know the Word of God, we'll be able to recognize right away that something is not supposed to be happening. That's not God’s plan. So, what is God’s plan? In many instances, when we discuss the last days and are all looking for signs because we want to see the Lord come, we must be patient, as God is patient. However, He has given us some definite signs of the end. Let's start with the biggest one, that is, the most obvious one, which took place on May 15th, 1948, when Israel became a nation.

11:57

We're going to examine Isaiah, chapter 66, and we'll begin with verse 4. It says Before she was in labor, she gave birth. Before her pain came upon her, she delivered a son. Who has heard of such a thing? Who has seen such things? Shall a land be born in one day? Shall a nation be brought forth in one moment? For as soon as Zion was in labor, she brought forth her children. Shall I get to the point of birth and not cause to bring forth, says the Lord. Shall I who cause to bring forth, shut the womb, says the Lord. Rejoice with Jerusalem and be glad for her. All you who love her rejoice with her, all you who mourn over her. That you may nurse and be satisfied from her consoling breast. That you may drink deeply with delight from her glorious abundance.

12:50

There are only two returns in the Bible. The first one is from the Babylonian exile, as prophesied by Jeremiah. Then the second return, which we are witnessing right now. Israel will never be moved from where they are. The Bible describes God reigning from Jerusalem during the millennial reign, but Israel remains a constant presence. Between the second restoration, the second return, and the coming of Christ, the battle of Armageddon, the Antichrist, all those things happen around Israel, the Israel we know today. And in Jeremiah, chapter 16, verses 14 and 15, it says Therefore behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, and it will no longer be said as the Lord lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt? But as the Lord lives, who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, from all the lands which he had driven them, For? I will bring them back into their own land, which I gave to their fathers.

13:54

This prophecy has two fulfillments. It's talking about what we see today and how Israel has prospered. We all have to look at history, and we are just stunned by how Israel took this barren land and turned it really into a garden. But it also reflects what will happen when Jesus comes back, when He fully restores Israel in all its glory, with Him, King of Kings and Lord of Lords, on the throne from Jerusalem. So we have seen in this generation that Israel has become a nation when it shouldn't have become a nation. In one day, declared by the UN and ratified by the United States, numerous wars have occurred over the last 77 years. And now, where we are today, with great wars going on on every side of Israel. But the Lord will not allow Israel to be destroyed. He has planted it there, and it will stay there for His purposes until he comes.

14:52

Let's examine another prophecy that we can rely on, which is obvious to all of us today. The discourse of Jesus in Matthew 24, beginning with verse 9, is startling. Then they will deliver you up to tribulation and put you to death, and all nations will hate you because of my name. And then many will fall away and betray one another and hate one another, and many false prophets will arise and lead many astray. And because lawlessness will be increased, the love of many will grow cold, but the one who endures to the end will be saved, and this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the world as a testimony to all nations. Then the end will come.

15:36

These are the two most essential prophecies to concentrate on, not so much of all the other things that we think about, but these are all before the rise of the Antichrist. These are the things we're going through right now. Have they reached the level of this scripture yet? No, are they on their way? Yes, they are, but God promises that those who declare His name and do not deny Him will be blessed; He will anoint them, and they will do great wonders. But it won't be on glorious big-screen TVs from some great cathedral; it'll be on the streets, in homes, and in small Bible studies tucked away.

16:19

The era of the mega churches in America will soon come to an end. God is about to sift through the church and make it what he wants it to be, and we could look at that and say, well, that's depressing. But we could look at it and say, ‘Come, Lord Jesus, make the bride of Christ what you want her to be.’ Love you all. Thanks for listening. I hope this brings some clarity. I want to thank all of you who have contributed to the ministry. We couldn't do it without you. Things cost money, software, and all the things we need, and just when things are a little tight, God always provides. So stay in the word of God, pray for one another, and keep looking up. The King is coming.
