Digital censorship is tightening its grip across the globe, and nowhere is this more evident than in the United Kingdom. What starts as well-intentioned protection for children online quickly morphs into something more sinister - a system where people face longer prison sentences for deleted tweets than violent criminals receive for physical assaults.

The disturbing reality we're witnessing in England should serve as a wake-up call. Special police task forces now monitor social media platforms, blocking content under expanding definitions of "harmful" speech. This isn't speculation - it's happening now, with documented cases of citizens being dragged from their homes for expressing opinions online. As George Orwell eerily predicted decades ago, the line between protection and control has become dangerously thin.

Yet perhaps there's an unexpected silver lining to this digital darkness. For believers, these growing restrictions might be pushing us back toward something we've lost - authentic, face-to-face sharing of our faith. The gospel spread powerfully for centuries before Facebook and Twitter existed. Maybe God is using these challenges to scatter His people from their comfortable online bubbles, just as persecution in Acts 8 scattered the early church from Jerusalem to spread the message more widely. Our mission hasn't changed, only our methods might need adjustment. Whatever talents God has given you  - now is the time to use them in service to His kingdom.

A lot of debate over this. The premise is they're worried about children. They shouldn't see certain things. Who doesn't want to agree with that? We don't want our children influenced by evil in any form. But the question is, does that open the door for more censorship? And I have to agree that it will, because the people in charge have an idea of what they want to do. It's not about whether that is good or not. Obviously, it's good if we can protect our children. Parents need to take a much bigger role in this. But I realize also, you can't watch your children 24/7, but there are safeguards that you can put in place. So, the real issue here is, where do those leaders want to go with this? There are many comments about it. I'm going to play you a couple today.

But it's all about control, right? We're headed towards a world of control. We all know that. I mean, we'd have to be living under a rock not to realize that's going on. Whether we believe in the Bible or God or not, or do we believe that Bible prophecy is real, and Jesus is coming back, and these are things that have been forecast long ago. Whether or not we think that is irrelevant. It's happening anyway. What the outcome will be, we can debate with those who don't believe in such things as Bible prophecy or that God has a plan for the human race, but we would be fools not to recognize the fact that it's all coming. We've talked about what's going on in England before. Those of you who are listening from Great Britain, for all of you who have been listening in to Chronicles of the End Times for years, you're in a critical place at this time in history. Check out this clip. We're going to talk about it some more.

Story after story about people being thrown behind bars in the UK, even for tweets that they have deleted, with longer prison sentences than people who've committed actual physical violent crimes.

Yeah, that's right, guy, thanks for having me on. Yeah, I mean it's an incredible story. I mean there's a woman that's in prison for 31 months, which is four months longer than a child rapist is in prison, and what all she did was have a tweet up for four hours that she ended up taking down. This is a sweeping crackdown on free speech in Great Britain that we have not seen anything like in maybe hundreds of years. I mean, it's astonishing. It's happening on multiple levels. Keep in mind, they were already arresting 30 people a day for wrong speech in Britain before this.

Now they have a special police task force to constantly monitor social media, including X, formerly Twitter, and they can stop content based on age verification. So they can stop content saying, oh, this is harmful to mental health. And then X recently, just a few days ago, did block content based on the British order to be able to identify if people were old enough to see it. So the other thing you mentioned there was the Islamophobia. They're not going to allow people to criticize mass migration. They're going to call it Islamophobia and a hate crime and prevent it. So, I mean George Orwell perfectly predicted this in 1984 when he wrote his book in the mid-forties.

Like everything else, the line is very thin, and some of these politicians may have good intentions. Hopefully, they do, but the bottom line is we've already seen in England people being thrown in prison, just like they said, for what they're tweeting or what they're posting on various social media channels. Now, I've said this before and to me it makes sense Suppose, because you believe in God, you believe in the Bible and you share some things online that people disagree with, they don't have to be grievous, they might be your opinion, and then they come after you, they knock on your door, like they have through England, knocking on the door, dragging people away. We did a podcast on that a month or so ago. The seeds are there, right? We know that because the power is there to do this. Technology has given us the power to do such things. Now we know from history that good things can become evil things, depending on who is in control, just like your car. You're driving your car down the road. Does that mean you're going to plow into a bunch of people waiting to get into a movie or to a club? No, the car is not evil. It's the intent of the person behind the wheel.

But here's a point I want to bring up. We're so used to social media. This is where we make our statements. You know, some people are bold about them and some people are hiding behind their Facebook page, Twitter page, Instagram page, TikTok page, or on and on. We could go with that. The same things they would never say in person. So we're locked into this. This is how we express ourselves now. But what if they do start censoring what you say on Facebook if it has to do with Jesus, if they feel that Jesus is offensive? Well, we know that Jesus is offensive. He said I didn't come to bring peace; I came to bring division. That's something you don't hear a lot of, but it's true. You could talk about God all day long, but start talking about Jesus, and you're going to run into trouble. So, what is my point? My point is that this is a good thing. Let them censor all the social media sites, because we may need to stop being social media people. We need to be real people, sharing things in love and compassion with people in person. It's easy to say certain things online, but you know, the gospel has been spread and people have been getting saved for hundreds of years before social media. This may be a good thing. Maybe this will get us up and out into the world, sharing our faith.

Let's check back to Acts, chapter 8. Now this is right. After Stephen was stoned, it says that Saul approved of his execution. And there arose on that day a great persecution against the church in Jerusalem, and they were all scattered throughout the regions of Judea and Samaria, except the apostles. Devout men buried Stephen and made great lamentation over him. But Saul was ravaging the church and entering house after house. He dragged off men and women and committed them to prison. So what's happening here? The early church got comfortable in Jerusalem. Things were going pretty well, and then they got scattered.

God has a way of making us uncomfortable. He has a way of prodding his sheep to move forward and to do things they wouldn't normally do if they were comfortable. Those days are upon us, and here we are in America. We still have great freedom, but persecution is going on. Revival is also going on among the young people. God is moving. Our fellowship baptized 36 people last week in the ocean. People are hungry for God.

But my point is, God has a way of moving his sheep along. And listen, folks, I'm all about what's going on. I realize that the spirit of Antichrist is strong in this world. This technology, which we all love and find convenient, is a double-edged sword. For some of us, like me, who are tech freaks, it's kind of cool, but it will be used against us. But God is way ahead of us all. We need to start practicing our face-to-face living for Jesus and not saving our comments for the Internet. Keep this in mind, and I say it all the time for that reason, is that Bible prophecy is like train tracks, they run side by side, the evil and the good. They rage together, and they will continue to do that until the end.

I see a lot of videos about the rapture on YouTube. They're getting thousands of views. This is a sign. That is a sign. Listen, folks, we all want to go to heaven. None of us wants to die. We prefer to be raptured. But our focus must be on the mission. God will take his church home when he's pleased to do so.

People say to me, well, you know, russ, we should be looking for Jesus, not the Antichrist. Well, that's true. But those of us who properly talk about Bible prophecy. We're not looking for the Antichrist. We're giving signs that he's coming because those days are going to be awful, and also because it tells us our time is short, and we don't know when the rapture will be. Is it before the tribulation, or is it somewhere during the tribulation? No one knows. But what we do know is we want to be found working in the vineyard when he comes. So at Chronicles of the End Times, my purpose is to let people know their time is short. Let's get going, let's do the work of the End Times. My purpose is to let people know their time is short. Let's get going, let's do the work of the kingdom and leave the rest up to God. I love you all. I thank you so much for listening. I thank you for the support people are giving. It means a lot, because this ministry runs on that.

Let's keep in mind the parable of the talents, where three people were given specific talents. One was given three, another two, and then another one. What they did with those things that God gave them is how they were judged. We all have abilities. It's not about whether we have three or two or we're the person with one. That's not the purpose of the parable. The purpose is that you need to use what God has given you. And the old phrase it's not in the Bible, but we use it a lot. Use it or lose it, and that is a truth. That could be about your physical ability, keeping yourself in shape, or about your mind, keeping your mind in shape. It can also be applied to your spiritual walk and how you keep it up. So, I encourage you today, whatever God's given you, use it for Him. It doesn't have to be the greatest gift in the world; it just has to be your gift. This is Russ Scalzo for Chronicles of the End Times. Keep looking up. The King is coming.
