Chronicles of the End Times

Hostages, Justice, and the Last Days

A peace deal brings twenty hostages home—and releases thousands of violent offenders. We open with relief and outrage side by side, then step straight into the story of Tal Hartuv, a survivor who walked a mile with shattered bones after a machete attack, only to watch her attacker go free under the agreement. Her testimony cuts through abstraction and forces a harder question: what happens to justice when “peace” demands we forget the dead?

From there we widen the lens. We confront how hate disguises itself as strength, why a Christian conscience must oppose evil without becoming its mirror, and how media narratives can polish lies until they feel like truth. We talk about deception as a climate, not a headline—fertile ground for manipulation, fear, and the easy comfort of our own echo chambers. And then, unexpectedly, a countercurrent: students asking for rooms to pray, small circles growing into dozens, hope rebuilding in quiet corners where no camera is pointed.

The conversation moves into prophetic terrain—Jacob’s trouble, the refining of Israel, and the sifting of nations measured not by slogans but by mercy: food for the hungry, shelter for strangers, courage for the imprisoned. The parable of the sheep and the goats becomes more than a sermon; it becomes a standard for public life under pressure. We grapple with the cost of compassion when it collides with power, and we hold on to the promise of a future reign marked by justice, presence, and peace that outlasts headlines.

Welcome everyone. This is Russ Scalzo, Chronicles of the End Times. Thank you for being with me today. Today we're going to take a look at this peace agreement, the release of the hostages, and what it all means. So, what's going on behind the scenes? As of today, we see the hostages that were alive, twenty of them released, and we rejoice in that. I rejoice for their families, for the heartache that they went through, and for the heartache that the hostages saw in that two-year period, and the memories that they have of their loved ones and friends being slaughtered. Those things don't go away just because the story fades away into the next day. But what does this peace deal mean? Israel is still fighting to get the deceased loved ones back, and one of the deceased hostages that were returned was not Jewish. He was a Palestinian in an Israeli uniform. But never ends, folks. Right now, in Gaza, those who are left of Hamas are killing their own people. People that they chose because they could be a threat to them in the new regime that the United States and Israel is trying to put in place. Like I said, I rejoice with those who are finally getting their people back. But we cannot forget all those who have been slaughtered and lost. What we're dealing with here is the devil. Hezbollah, Hamas, Al Shabaab, Boko Haram, ISIS, Al Qaeda, the Taliban. We could go on and on with all the names. Throughout the Middle East and in Africa, they are demon inspired. The kind of things they do, they are not just moments of human rage. And to think that Israel had to give up two thousand murderers and rapists in order to get this deal done is horrific. Absolutely terrible. Because as always, Israel has to bend over backwards and give everything away just so they can get back what was taken from them. And those that are mounting up against Israel will have to face the wrath of Almighty God. And you might say, well man, Russ you are really going overboard here. No, it is true. Israel is not righteous, it is not holy, but God is. And if we're to follow Jesus Christ, we can't be haters. Yes, there are people in this world that need to be brought to justice. And some of those people, they won't allow themselves to be brought to justice. So, they have to be destroyed, killed in battle. It's unfortunate, but that is the world that we live in. The world that is run by the Prince of Darkness. But as Christians, we cannot hate, vehemently hate people. You cannot do it. If you're walking around and you say, Well, I love Jesus and I'm walking with him, you cannot do those things. Yes, there are people that need to be dealt with, but we cannot be in that place where our hate is so great that it eats us away and causes us to do things that we should never do. Trust me, I've lived a long time and I ran across all kinds of people. And I understand how the temptation is there when somebody wrongs you over and over again. Or in the case of what's going on in Israel, actually murder and kill your loved ones. It's an incredibly difficult place to be. I want you to listen to this story. It's only a three-minute clip. Comes from 2C TV. And if you really want to know what's going on in the world, you need to tune in to 2C TV and other podcasters on YouTube. You're not going to hear what's really going on anywhere else. You got to look for it. You have to dig for it. Good journalists used to be, and some still are, those that dig for the truth. They don't look for things that support their narrative. What's really going on? And you have to get the news from the people that are on the ground in the places that matter, where they're seeing it with their eyes. They're feeling the anguish, they're feeling the terror. They see it. It's not made up and it's not fit neatly into someone's agenda. Listen to this interview, it's extremely powerful. The woman's name is Tal Hartuv. She's from England, she's living in Israel. Amazing story.

Tal Hartuv is uh joining us uh live. Um, welcome to the channel. How are you?

Speaker 3

04:46

Hi, Tousi, how am I? I don't think we've got long enough to actually uh talk about that.

Speaker 1

04:51

No, no, we have we have enough time. So just to give a preview to people, um, in case they're not familiar, obviously a lot of you already know that Tal uh was uh a few years ago repeatedly. I obviously let her tell the story, but repeatedly stabbed by a Palestinian terrorist. That Palestinian was actually uh got arrested, imprisoned. He has now been released as part of this so-called peace deal. Of course, for Tal and her loved ones, uh, this is a distressing time because uh and I'm going to ask you exactly tell the story what happened and how you're feeling now, now that the man who wanted to basically kill you and obviously targeted your friends, is now back on the streets. Tell us what happened.

I've been in Israel, I left after England. I'm born here, I mean, there in England, left after high school, and I became a tour guide in Israel, and I was taking a Christian tourist for a hike within the state of Israel, not in you know, so-called West Bank. And we were pounced on by two Palestinian terrorists who had machetes, and they held us at knife point for half an hour, and uh then they went through my stuff, they found my Israeli ID, they gagged us, they tied our hands behind their back, our back, they put us on our knees, and it's Al Akbar, and they start slaughtering. And I'm on my side, and um, he's leaning on me, and he's I'm telling you, uh, this is X-rated channel, right? But yeah, I hear my bones crunch, and it's because it's a serrated knife, it keeps getting stuck in the bone, and he's just irritated that he had the wrong knife. And the only thing I knew to do was play dead, and I kept my eyes open, assuming how that's people die, and I watched in front of me too. See, like my friend, she was being chopped up like a cucumber, and they left. And I decided, okay, I have one last commission in life, which is to die nearer where I parked the car, so the police can find my body. And I somehow managed to stand, and I turned my back on what's left of Christine, and step by step with over 30 broken bones, snapped ribs, uh, collapsed lung, crushed during them, dislocated shoulder, sliced diaphragm, bones in my uh lungs. I walked over a mile until I found help and apprehend them. And then I was in court with them 11 months later, and I'll never forget the judge asked, Well, why did you murder an American Christian? And they said we thought she was Jewish.

Talk about injustice. Arbitrarily letting these killers go, some of which I'm sure have demon friends right alongside of them, in exchange for people that Hamas took and slaughtered two years ago. How does that make sense in any world? It's otherworld. That's all I can say about it. If that happened in America, oh my goodness, it would be every news station, every morning, noon, and night. That's all you would see. That's it. How can you tell when it's truly evil is when it makes no sense to you. But justice will happen. It's hard for me to explain how much respect I have lost for some of the anchors and some of the people that I have watched over the last even ten, fifteen years that have just sold out. It's just staggering. I don't know how you go to bed at night knowing that you're not telling the truth. Not only that, but you're influencing millions of people that will take your quotes and put them on social media and they'll stand by them to their death, and they're not true. Folks, if you don't believe that this world is being ploughed and sown with the seeds of deceit in preparation for the rise of the Antichrist, the son of perdition, you're not paying attention. Most of you are used to hearing me saying that prophecy is like a train track with two rails running side by side, the good and the evil. And although all this is going on, God is moving. There are reports coming in from high schools, from colleges. The kids are coming together for prayer for school. In the schools, groups of students are going to the school and asking for a room so they can pray in it. And some of the reports are amazing. It starts with five or six, and some of the groups have reached thirty-five and forty. Not getting together to have a cup of coffee and to talk about the world. They're getting together to pray. That's powerful stuff. It's all part of the atmosphere that we're in right now. Supernatural atmosphere. So how does this all end? What does God do in the last days? The tribulation period of seven years that we talk about quite often is called the time of Jacob's trouble. It's designed to bring Israel back to God. It's designed as a filtering system where God is going to purge Israel and he will have the remnant that he's looking for. And during this period of time the world will also be judged, all the Gentile nations. And we're not going to go into all the details of that, that's for another study. But millions and billions unfortunately will die during that period of time that will reject Christ and follow the Antichrist. But this is what I want to bring up, and it's important. When Jesus comes back, he's going to judge the nations. Many of you will remember the scripture with the sheep and the goats. Let's check it out. It's in Matthew twenty-five. It's in the context of what Jesus is telling them about when he returns. This is all being fulfilled in the last days at his arrival. We pick it up in verse thirty-one. When the Son of Man comes in his glory, and all the angels with him, he will sit on his glorious throne. All the nations will be gathered before him, and he will separate the people one from another, as a shepherd separates the sheep from the goats. He will put the sheep on his right and the goats on his left. Then the king will say to those on his right, Come, you are blessed of my father, take your inheritance, the kingdom prepared for you since the creation of the world. For I was hungry, and you gave me something to eat, I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink. I was a stranger and you invited me in. I needed clothes and you clothed me. I was sick and you looked after me, and I was in prison, and you came to visit me. We hear this preached occasionally as to what's going on right now, if we're helping people and if we are visiting people in prison and doing our best to encourage and help people. It applies to today, there's no doubt, but the fulfillment and the real heart of the matter is at the return of Jesus Christ. Those that are left. Now you have to remember this is the seven-year tribulation, all this devastation has taken place, billions of people have been wiped off the face of the earth through the wrath of God and through the wars between the Antichrist and the rest of the world. So, you must picture the devil is bound, he's cast into the abyss for a thousand years, and now this takes place just prior to the beginning of the thousand-year reign. For God will judge the nations on how they treated those who turned to Christ and the remnant of Israel. During the time of the Antichrist, people will betray one another, but others will help each other, and that's what this is going to be about. The goat nations, the nations that God is going to look at and say, You didn't help, you were aligned with the Antichrist, they're going to be done away with. But the sheep nations, those that decided to help, maybe hide people, maybe feed people, maybe try to get people out of prison. There are so many ways, so many avenues where this could work. And God is going to allow those nations to come into the millennial reign, the thousand-year reign of Jesus Christ on the earth and be blessed by his presence and the peace that will prevail. We're going to look at that in a couple weeks to come as we continue with the different dispensations. That's the dispensation of the millennial reign, God fulfilling his promises to Israel. Until next time, seek the Lord with all your heart. Become one of his true disciples. Live for him. Let the anointing of God build upon you layer by layer, and that comes through prayer. That comes through dedication, singleness of heart. And God will bless you, he will provide for you. Wherever you are in this world today, whatever you're going through, our God is able to keep you, provide for you, and protect you. And may the Lord Jesus Christ bless you all. This is Russ Scalzo for Chronicles of the End Times. Keep looking up. The king is coming.
