Chronicles of the End Times
Occasionally, people say, are we really in the last days? How do we know? Does it matter one way or another? We will try to answer these questions and many others in this study. But the most important question may be, how can we reach others with hope in these changing times? One part of prophecy is often emphasized over another, causing us to lose perspective and miss the blessing and beauty of prophecy in scripture. I have taken the information in this study from many authors and teachers who have their lives studying God's word. I have added some insight that the Holy Spirit taught me. With God's help, I have endeavored to keep the whole counsel of the word of God in full view to give us an accurate picture of Christ and His great love for a lost world. I pray that this will challenge you and cause you to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, as it has me preparing it. Let's begin!
Chronicles of the End Times
How Modern Pushes For Socialism And Digital IDs Echo Biblical Warnings
A chant against kings sounds freeing—until you realize the plan hands more power to fewer hands. We take a hard look at why socialism is surging in cultural appeal, how its promise of fairness so often becomes control, and where new digital systems fit into the story. From biometric IDs to central bank digital currencies, global pilots already link identity to payments, turning access into a switch that can be flipped. We connect those headlines to ancient prophecies about loyalty, trade, and a speaking “image,” and ask what wisdom and courage look like right now.
You’ll hear a clear definition of socialism and a sober review of its track record, followed by an examination of digital ID frameworks tied to the UN Sustainable Development Goals and initiatives like ID2020. We explore how refugees already use iris scans to receive rations, why CBDCs require robust digital identity, and what programmable money means for dissenters and the vulnerable. Along the way we highlight the growing role of AI as a persuasive and enforcing layer, capable of scaling compliance and shaping narratives in ways that would have seemed like science fiction not long ago.
But the conversation doesn’t end with warnings; it moves toward hope. We talk about God’s sovereignty over history, the purpose of prophecy, and the call to strengthen local community. Practical encouragement anchors the close: meet together, encourage one another, steward your gifts, and be ready to help neighbors navigate systems that prize convenience over conscience. If you’ve been sensing the ground shift under your feet, this is a timely map and a steadying word.
If this resonated, follow the show, share it with a friend, and leave a rating or review so more people can find these conversations. Your voice helps us keep reaching those who are searching.

Welcome everyone. This is Russ Scalzo, Chronicles of the End Times. I hope you're doing well today. Well, I've been away from the podcast for about ten days, just thinking over a lot of different things. Looking at so many here in America grabbing on to socialism. I find it amazing that that demonstrators can march in the street and declare no kings when in reality socialism creates rulers. And socialism allows the government, those in control, to control everything. To make sure that you eat, how much money you can spend, how much money you can have. The famous Margaret Thatcher quote that you hear frequently. She said, The problem with socialism is that you eventually run out of other people's money. Socialism sounds great when you're 15, 16 years old. Everybody's going to have the same amount. Everybody's will be treated the same. We will level out the rich, spread their money out so everyone can have some. If you look up the meaning of socialism, it's advocating collective or governmental ownership and administration of means of production and distribution of goods. It's control. Those who want socialism want to do away with control, and yet that is what socialism is all about. How does this play into the end times and prophecies? There is going to be a king, and he is coming, and he's not Jesus. And this king will control the entire world. His government will dictate who eats and who doesn't. His government will dictate who gets treated fairly and who doesn't. That's the scary part. Socialism has never worked in the history of humankind. Who doesn't want everything for free? Me. I don't want everything for free. It's not the way God made us. God made us to find our way, to have a craft, an ability, a gift that He's given us, and that gift would provide for us. In fact, the scripture says that a man's gift will make a way for him. Socialism is a way to control people, take their desire away to succeed, and be dependent on a system, on a government, on a community of people who are going to tell you how you're going to live and what those parameters are. I'm will take this another step further and I really want you to listen to this because it is powerful and is revealing. If you have them in keeping up with the move of one currency and complete control of the economies of the world, we're on a threshold of prophecy being fulfilled. These are the seeds that the enemy is planting to prepare the hearts of the people of the world to depend on him, to worship him, to give up everything, all our freedoms, and serve one man. So, the very issue that people will argue about they are going to do. So the very people who are marching and want freedom and don't want control are voting for it. Scary. Over the past 100 years, there have been more than two dozen attempts to build a socialist society. It's been tried in the Soviet Union, Yugoslavia, Albania, Poland, Vietnam, Bulgaria, Romania, Czechoslovakia, North Korea, Hungary, China, and on and on we could go. In every one of these instances, it failed and turned into something terrible. And those that are joining this, the average age is 33. It used to be 68. That shows you how things have changed. My point is this. People will tell you, yes, but that wasn't real socialism. Really? Well, don't try it here. Because for the last hundred years it has all failed and failed miserably. And in most cases, it has produced tyrants and produced tremendous heartache and loss of life. Unfortunately, this is what the UN and those in power throughout the world are embracing. And we are closer to it than you ever imagined. Listen to this report by author and journalist Whitney Webb.

There's a coordinated global policy push for digital IDs as the new form of government-issued identification credentials. And they're essentially all based on your biometric data, which can be uh your fingerprints, your face, your um the iris of your eyeball. And the idea is essentially to collect all of that data and have it housed uh or have it tied directly to your digital ID so your physical ID will be mapped to the digital ID. Digital IDs are not really a separate project from CBDCs and this new digital financial system. And UN documentation and also documentation from the Bank of International Settlements, they very overtly state that CBDCs and digital IDs are meant to go together. And without digital IDs, the C B D C digital finance system cannot exist. That is the same model the UN is using. They've already implemented it for refugees getting food assistance from the World Food Program. It's called building blocks. It's on blockchain. It involves refugees scanning their irises, and in order to buy food or receive their rations, they have to um check out of a grocery store style uh place in the refugee camp, and they check out biometrically with an eyeball scan. And then the amount of um food they have, the monetary value of that is subtracted from their uh digital wallet connected to their digital ID in their iris. It doesn't matter what country you're in or whether you're part of BRICS or part of the collective West, this is being rolled out across the board.

Sound familiar? You read this scripture hundreds of times, but I think we need to read a little piece of it again today, in the light of everything that's going on. It was allowed to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast might even speak and might cause those who would not worship the image of the beast to be slain. Also it causes all, both small and great, rich and poor, both free and slave, to be marked on the right hand or the forehead, so that no one can buy or sell unless he has the mark, that is, the name of the beast or the number of his name. That's interesting. We've talked about this before. It's no secret. The image of the beast is AI. And AI is the program that's going to be running all this for the UN and for those who are involved in this one world happy family. You don't really need to be a scientist or a theologian to grasp what is happening right in front of our face. Let's listen to another short clip from Whitney Webb.

One of the main reasons for this coordinated global push to develop digital IDs is because it's deemed essential to the entire sustainable development agenda, which is the UN Sustainable Development Goals or SDGs, also known as Agenda 2030. And the specific part dealing with digital IDs is within SDG 16, which is about building peaceful and inclusive societies. One of the indicators of SDG 16, 16.9, uh calls for legal identification for everyone in the world from the time they're born, essentially. The leading alliance that was launched under the auspices of the UN to accomplish that is known as ID 2020 and has since been folded into what is called the Digital Impact Alliance, which essentially has the same uh funders and founders as ID 2020. So ID 2020, the UN and other stakeholders in this particular uh sphere often argue that the reason this is necessary is because of what they call the identity gap. And the identity gap is the claim that the lack of digital ID is preventing people, mainly the world's poor, from accessing essential services, whether it's banking, whether it's education, uh, whether it's healthcare. They claim the only way for these people to be able to access these services is to onboard them to these identity schemes.

Really sounds good, doesn't it? It usually does. This would be great. Euphoria. We're going to live in La La Land where everything is beautiful. Sounds like the promises that are coming from the Antichrist. Not much different. In Daniel chapter twelve, this the angel gives Daniel a little insight and a warning. He says, Go your way, Daniel, for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end. Many shall purify themselves and make themselves white and be refined. But the wicked shall act wickedly, and none of the wicked shall understand. But those who are wise shall understand. Where does wisdom come from? Wisdom comes from the Lord, and from understanding the Word of God, and for living in the Spirit of God, and being born again, changed by the power of Jesus Christ. That's where wisdom and knowledge comes from. The table is being set, but it's not set by the devil. It's set by God, the Almighty. For all this He has told us in advance that that is the glory of God, that we can tell others that you know God predicted this. God said this would happen. It gives him glory, not us, but it gives glory to God for revealing it before it takes place. He talks about that in Isaiah. I want to share a word with you that God has given to me. And as we look around, we see all the nations are on fire. They're ablaze with riots, demonstrations, people unsatisfied with what's going on, rebelling against the forces that are trying to shape them against their wills. And many of these uprisings throughout the world, all countries are young people. What's going on? God is stirring the nations. He's going to have a people. He's going to have children. He desires to have children. His love compels him. So he is stirring the pot, making people uneasy, unsatisfied, putting a hunger in their hearts for something else. And I can tell you this is what happened in the sixties and early seventies, because I was involved in that. That's where I came to Christ. We were rebelling against what was happening. We didn't know what we wanted, we thought we did, but it was the Lord. He was stirring up. And that stirring ended up in a huge revival. I can't say this enough. Remember the two rails of prophecy, the good and the bad. They're going together towards the coming of Christ. There's a scripture in Hebrews chapter ten, verse twenty-five that I'd like to end with. And this is what this is all about. This is what Chronicles of the End Times is all about. What I feel God's called me to do and others. And let us consider how to stir one another to love and good works, not neglecting to meet together, as it is the habit of some, but encouraging one another. And all the more as you see the day approaching. It is very, very important that we encourage one another and that we reach out to those who do not know. That's the whole reason that the prophecies are in the Bible. They're not there for any other reason but to encourage us, to show us what's to take place, and warn those who do not know. Thank you for listening today. I hope you continue to support the show. God is on the move. Let me pray for you. Father God, I just ask you to touch each one who's listening, each person around the world who's listening to this right now. I ask you to strengthen them if they need healing to touch them. Open doors that they never dreamed possible. Show yourself, God, for who you are, mighty and strong, the Almighty, the beginning and the end, the Alpha and the Omega. This is Russ Scalzo for Chronicles of the End Times. Keep looking up. The King is coming.
