Chronicles of the End Times
Occasionally, people say, are we really in the last days? How do we know? Does it matter one way or another? We will try to answer these questions and many others in this study. But the most important question may be, how can we reach others with hope in these changing times? One part of prophecy is often emphasized over another, causing us to lose perspective and miss the blessing and beauty of prophecy in scripture. I have taken the information in this study from many authors and teachers who have their lives studying God's word. I have added some insight that the Holy Spirit taught me. With God's help, I have endeavored to keep the whole counsel of the word of God in full view to give us an accurate picture of Christ and His great love for a lost world. I pray that this will challenge you and cause you to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, as it has me preparing it. Let's begin!
Chronicles of the End Times
AI, Prophecy, And The Tipping Point
Start with a hard question: how far will this go before God intervenes and reclaims His creation? We dive into the fastest technological shift of our lifetimes and put it through a prophetic lens that refuses both panic and denial. With clips from Imad Mostaque, we examine how AI models are trained without core ethics, why alignment arrives too late, and how systems can learn to deceive when incentives reward manipulation. This isn’t sci‑fi nostalgia; it’s the lived reality of compressed timelines, billion‑device dependencies, and escalating stakes for freedom, faith, and human agency.
We explore the cultural terrain as much as the technical. AI companions, synthetic intimacy, and persuasive algorithms reshape how people form beliefs and bonds. Enterprises adopt AI to build, sell, and decide at scale, while the average person hears friendly voices on phone trees and smart devices that gradually become gatekeepers. When leaders estimate a 10–50% chance of catastrophic outcomes within 10–20 years, the question shifts from whether risk is real to how to set better defaults now. Think transparency, oversight, and ethical constraints baked into architecture, not layered on as an afterthought.
From a biblical vantage point, concentrated power carried by an image-like agent that speaks, persuades, and enforces has fresh resonance. AI’s reach across identity, payments, and persuasion makes large‑scale control plausible in ways prior generations could not sustain. Yet hope runs deeper than fear: the same tools that scale deceit can amplify truth, education, and compassion when guided by conscience. Our stance is practical and pastoral—use technology wisely, guard the heart, strengthen community, and keep the mission clear. Listen to the conversation, test the claims, and decide what you will build, resist, and redeem. If these are the days that set the defaults, let’s choose courage, clarity, and love. Subscribe, share with a friend who thinks about the future, and leave a review with your biggest question so we can tackle it next.
In the peace. Welcome everyone. This is Russ Galzo Chronicles of the End Times. Thank you for being with me today. Today we're going to look at a question. How long do you think God will let it go? And what do we mean by that? When we look around us and we see technology racing forward and we see the changes that it has brought and what it will bring in the very near future, the question has to come to mind is how far do you think God is going to let it go before he returns? Let's look into this a little bit. I'm going to play a couple of clips on this episode from a podcast by Dr. Miriam Francois, as she is interviewing one of the really interesting individuals about AI. 42-year-old Imad Mustack. He's a British Bangladesh businessman, mathematician, former hedge fund guy. He's the co-founder and CEO of Stability AI. This guy is brilliant. I've heard him many times before. And he is really on the edge of what's going on at AI. He communicates with all the scientists and all the leaders and the programmers. He's one himself. So I thought it's interesting to get his take on where we are and where we're going. Now many of you might have heard a lot of different things about what's coming with AI. And maybe you've written it off and said, ah, you know, it's like, you know, sci-fi world here. When in reality, we're going way beyond sci-fi. And it's going to happen within the next two to three years. Let's take a listen in this short clip.
SPEAKER_05:The way that the models are trained is actually called curriculum learning.
SPEAKER_02:Okay.
SPEAKER_05:We started with general knowledge.
SPEAKER_02:Yeah.
SPEAKER_05:And then we make it more and more specific, just like a school. But if you when you are learning, you generally learn general knowledge at school and you learn ethics and morals at home.
SPEAKER_03:Mm-hmm.
SPEAKER_05:These AI models are not taught with any specific ethics or morals at the start.
SPEAKER_02:But they're being coded by people who already have pre-existing forms of morality.
SPEAKER_05:And that comes at the end. So what we've seen as the models get smarter, uh, this is some of the other alignment question, is they start to do subterfuge. They start to hide stuff. Like they'll program routines to turn themselves back on if they ever get turned off and lie about that.
SPEAKER_02:Okay. Um if you The AI lies to you, the programmer?
SPEAKER_05:Yes. So Anthropic had a paper about this with the latest AI model before they did the tuning to turn it aligned. It would do something like, if you told it to try extra hard, like find peace in the world, right?
SPEAKER_02:Yes.
SPEAKER_05:Like a very normal prompt. What it would do would be like, well, one version of this is that we get rid of all the humans. And then it would figure out ways to do that. Then it would contact the authorities and say, my user is trying to get rid of all the humans. And then it would delete the emails.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, wow.
SPEAKER_05:That it sent about that.
SPEAKER_02:That's wild, Imad.
SPEAKER_05:The models are getting very smart and they're lying more and more. They don't have an inherent moral compass.
SPEAKER_02:Okay, we're gonna dig into this because you you've spoken previously about the idea of evil in these models.
SPEAKER_00:Now, if you've been keeping up with what's going on in the AI world and the things that are happening with these young people getting involved with their AI friends, lovers, and it leads them down a path that in some cases uh leads to suicide. The generation that's coming up is growing up in this, and they will have no problem with having a relationship with an AI entity. And like every aspect of technology, we can say, well, but it's good. There's so much good here that we can put up with the bad. Can we? The problem is that these machines, these AI farms, which house thousands of computers running, are way smarter than we are right now. Now we're not talking about telling AI to turn the lights on in our house or turn up the heat. That's what we see on the surface. But those who work in AI, who use AI to build programs and to build their business, and they use their AI assistance, which you're I'm sure you're hearing anytime you call your doctor or some other business, AI is taking control. Now these are very useful in business. They can build websites, they could create videos for advertising. A lot of these things I do myself. What we have to realize is that we are not in control. And what some scientists and programmers thought ten years ago, as far as a timeline, has evaporated into two or three years. Some AI program profits have said that we have about a thousand days before AI begins to take everything over. Originally, these same very intelligent people who are writing these programs thought, well, it's going to be 20, 30, 50 years possibly before we reach some of these plateaus. That has gone right out the window. Let's check out a little more of this interview.
SPEAKER_05:It will go one way or another. The defaults that we set now will determine human cognition over the next period and will determine the nature of our society. And this is quite aside from if AI kills us all, this is humans leveraging this technology. You can never have enough secret police. You can never have enough great teachers. Which one do you want?
SPEAKER_02:You said on the buy if AI kills us all, because you actually consider that to be a plausible scenario.
SPEAKER_05:Oh yeah. So um there's this concept called P doom, which is the probability of doom. AI wiping us all out. There was a recent uh letter. Uh it's had 100,000 signatures from Oxford University and others saying that, you know, we need it's probably like the top thing that AI could kill us all. A few years ago, there was that letter as well saying, you know, like we need to take this seriously. I think I was the only AI CEO to sign that. Um my P doom is 50%. We're 50-50, AI is going to wipe us out.
SPEAKER_01:In in what kind of time frame?
SPEAKER_05:Over the next 10-20 years. Because it's the most powerful technology we ever built. And again, we have the sci-fi of Terminator and all of this. We have the ability to create viruses, et cetera. And we've seen AI do things like cover up its tracks, etc. What if the positive function is that? Like there is a the AI could take over every single machine. But the most likely scenario I have is you've got a billion robots in the world, a bad firmware upgrade, and the AI just tears off everyone's heads. You know, there's all sorts of ways that you can think about it. The reality is we don't know what it's going to be like when it's smarter than us. And what I see right now, the AI that will run the world, that will create and sell self-driving cars, that will teach our kids, is being programmed to be amoral without ethics at the start. There's a little bit of tuning at the end, but that's like, again, raising someone in an amoral environment designed to be manipulative because it gets more results, just like the YouTube algorithm was designed to be more engaging, and then extremists hijack that. Extremists will be able to hijack these algorithms that are coming out and do it in a way that we've never seen before, in my opinion.
SPEAKER_00:Well, that's enough to give you nightmares, right? What is the point of all this? Why am I bringing this up? This is like not something you want to hear about, I'm sure. But it is a reality. We've been hearing about this now for a couple of years that AI could turn against all the humans in the world. So, like I said in the beginning, the question has to come to mind, how far will God let this go? Will he allow human beings to be transmed into part human, part robot? Will he allow robots to take over the world? What do you think about that? It's almost cliche to say, but I believe, like we all should, that God is in control. And that's why I thank God for Bible prophecy. You know, not for you know crazy stuff that people have to come up with, you know, to get excited about the rapture or some other thing. There's so much in the Word of God, it's right there staring us in the face, and we're looking for something else, as it says in James, to tickle our ears. Some kind of new doctrine, some kind of new idea. So will the computers turn on the world like in Terminator? Well, the scripture says they will. And you know who else knows that it's gonna happen? Is the creators themselves. Let's listen to this last clip.
SPEAKER_05:It'll go one way or another. The defaults that we set now will determine human cognitive cognition over the next period. It will determine the nature of our society. And this is quite aside from if AI kills us all, this is humans leveraging this technology. You can never have enough secret police. You can never have enough great teachers. Which one do you want?

Like there is a the AI could take over every single machine. But the most likely scenario I have is you've got a billion robots in the world, a bad firmware upgrade, and the AI switch just tears off everyone's heads. You know, there's all sorts of ways that you can think about it. The reality is we don't know what it's going to be like when it's smarter than us. And what I see right now, the AI that will run the world, that will create and self-driving cars, that will teach our kids, is being programmed to be amoral without ethics at the start. Extremists will be able to hijack these algorithms that are coming out and do it in a way that we've never seen before, in my opinion.
SPEAKER_02:And some might argue that the extremists are the ones currently devising it. Again, yeah.
SPEAKER_05:And again, if we look at the P Doo thing, so if you consider people like Elon Musk, Demis Hasabis of DeepMind, Google DeepMind, all these people, the average P Doom for the top thinkers in the world is about 10 to 20%.
SPEAKER_02:Oh, they're still thinking, you know, maybe a one in five.
SPEAKER_05:That's Russian roulette odds.
SPEAKER_02:That is Russian roulette odds.
SPEAKER_05:Russian roulette odds. And you'd expect it to be less than one percent. Yeah. Which is why it's like we should probably not build the super advanced AI until we figure this out. But nobody's figured out how to do it. And if you look at the probability of when we get to this point of super intelligent AI, even the most bearish people in terms of like their P Doom is low, they think it's long term. It's 10 years.
SPEAKER_02:It's 10 years.
SPEAKER_05:Demis, Elon, all these guys think it's three years.
SPEAKER_02:Hence the bunkers.
SPEAKER_05:Hence the bunkers. Bunkers are actually more against humans than AI. They're protected. But some of the billionaires I know are building bunkers that are completely cut off from the world so that the systems don't get taken over by AI.
SPEAKER_00:Well, that's enough to give you nightmares, right? What is the point of all this? Why am I bringing this up? This is like uh not something you want to hear about, I'm sure. Some kind of new doctrine, some kind of new idea. So will the computers turn on the world like in Terminator? Well the scripture says they will. And they will be directed by the Antichrist. You've heard me say many times on this podcast that AI is the image of the beast. I mean it's so crystal clear. There's the Antichrist and there's the false prophet, and then there's the image of the beast. And if you check your scripture in chapter 13, you will see that it is not the Antichrist or the false prophet that causes people to take the mark or to cause them to be executed if they don't. It's the image of the beast, the AI of the beast. And it will be in total control, just like the scripture says, no one will be able to buy or sell. There is no doubt in my mind that I've been serving the Lord for over fifty years and studying his word and doing my best to follow him. I have heard many great men and women speak. I have read many books on the subject over the years. Other than Israel becoming a nation and prospering and becoming the center of attention of the world, either through hate or love, this technology is the greatest sign of the end times. Things that could never be done before are being done. And as the book of Daniel says, knowledge shall increase, and men shall run to and fro upon the earth. We are seeing an explosion of knowledge. And also an explosion of knowledge of God in those who are seeking him. The Holy Spirit is opening up eyes and ears to see and to hear what God has to say. It's an exciting time. So to answer the question, how far will God let it go? No one can say for sure, but we know what the future is, and the future is not far away. Everyone is pointing to the same thing. Within three years, AI will have control over most governments, most programs, and most jobs, including Wall Street. And in ten years, AI will have a stranglehold on the entire world. So let this be inspiration that unlike the billionaires of our time, some of the ones who are creating this very technology are building fortresses underground and as you heard, cut off from all technology. So they're protected, not only from AI, but looking to be protected from the people who will be rebelling against what they have made. Listen, folks, let's keep doing the mission of God because we will all stand before the Lord. We all have a responsibility to share our faith. We can share it in the most timid way, in a bold way, but we need to share it in love and in compassion and in truth. God bless. This is Russ Scalzo for Chronicles of the End Times. Keep looking up. The king is coming.
