Chronicles of the End Times

Inside Iran’s Uprising And The Call for Help

Send us a text

A plea from the streets of Iran—come help us—frames a conversation about courage, conscience, and the kind of help that truly matters. We look beyond surface headlines to the stories emerging under blackout conditions: protesters risking prison and execution, families holding their breath, and a movement for freedom that refuses to fade. With reports suggesting a far higher death toll than official narratives, we explore what’s really driving people into the streets and how faith sustains them under relentless pressure.

We also open up the question everyone asks: What can be done without boots on the ground? From amplifying credible eyewitness accounts to supporting secure communications and advocating for protective policies, there are practical steps that avoid easy extremes. For those shaped by Christian faith, we lean into the conviction that prayer is not a slogan but a strategy—interceding for truth to surface, for the vulnerable to be shielded, and for leaders to make wise, timely choices. The biblical echo of a Macedonian call isn’t a policy prescription; it’s an invitation to respond with both hands and heart.

This conversation widens to a global lens: spiritual hunger rising in hard places, oppression meeting unexpected courage, and the belief that light can still break through a heavy sky. We speak frankly about persecution, the cost of dissent, and the hope of renewal many see stirring across borders. If you care about human rights, religious freedom, and the power of prayer in public life, you’ll find both sober clarity and stubborn hope here. Listen, share with a friend who needs perspective, and leave a review to help others find these voices. Then tell us: What action will you take today?

Welcome everyone. This is Russ Scalzo Chronicles of the End Times. Thank you for being with me today. Today we're going to continue to look into what is going on in Iran. As we turn our eyes towards Iran and what is going on there, and the people are rebelling against a regime that has brought nothing but pain and agony and death to their people since 1979. Some of the reports that you hear on the network news and other main branches are that there's 300, 400 people that have possibly died. But the real news coming from the people on the ground, those that don't have an agenda but just want to report what's going on are telling us that it's more like three to four thousand have been slaughtered by the IRGC in a desperate effort to take back control. They will also give you the reasons that Iran is going through a drought, that Iran's economy is collapsing. Yes, those things are true, but that's not the reason these people are revolting. This situation created an open door for them to be free. Because when you get arrested in Iran, you get thrown into prison, you get tortured, and you get hung. I did a podcast on that some months ago, and the stories are absolutely horrible. So, what do these people want? They want religious freedom. They want to live their lives. Most of the population is not Islamic. They've been living under Islamic rule, which is brutal and cruel. Now they want to be free. Here's a segment from This Morning CBN, a reporter with feet and eyes on the ground. Take a listen.

Despite a nearly total internet blackout, foreign militias enlisted to fight the protesters and live fire on the streets. Iranians continue to fill cities throughout the country with their call for freedom. Juliana Taimoorazy

, who heads a ministry to Iraqi Christians, was born and raised in Iran, and many members of her family are still there. She says the protesters are continuing to make a call to the West.

Please come and help us. The next few hours are absolutely critical. Their eyes are on Israel. Their eyes are on America. They're begging, they're pleading with us to assist.

Now there's a great debate going on as to what should be done. And America can assist in many different ways without putting boots on the ground. Those options are being considered in Washington as we speak. But for you and me as Christians, those who love Jesus Christ, who have the ability to pray and enter the throne of grace, we have an obligation as well. It's not all about bullets and bombs. It's about prayer. There's a move of God going on in Iran, and there has been for the last four or five years. People have been killed, hung openly because they professed Jesus Christ in that country, and now the doors have been blown open and the demonic powers are fighting back to hold on to that territory that they have gained. If you know anything about Islamic rule and about history, every country that is under Islamic rule now has been taken over by force through the years. And this is a rare situation where a nation is fighting back its people, millions in the street, looking for deliverance, looking to be set free, so they don't have to look over their shoulder and make sure they don't give an IRGC guard a dirty look that will get them put in prison. So, let's pray for them and that the word of God can go forth. Their plea for help reminds me of another plea that came to Paul the Apostle in Acts chapter sixteen. And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia was standing there, urging him and saying, Come over to Macedonia and help us. And when Paul had seen the vision immediately, we sought to go into Macedonia, concluding that God had called us to preach the gospel to them. What a powerful scripture. As we see this line with the people of Iran calling out, come please help us. Because what they suffer from is not only a military Gestapo like regime, but it is a spiritual darkness that has fallen over the land. And there's only one who can break that down and cast it away, and that's the Lord Jesus Christ. And that comes through our prayers. For the Lord has given us the power to demolish strongholds to dust, and the Holy Spirit's wind will blow it away and bring in new life for those who hunger and thirst for righteousness. Many times, Christians, especially those who like to talk about the last days, and I am definitely one of those, I love the word of God, I love the promises of God. If you know the word of God and you know the inheritance that's coming, it helps you get through the dark days. But sometimes when we look at that, there seems to be a lot of focus on the coming antichrist. Now we know that the Antichrist will come first before the Lord Jesus Christ comes, for he will destroy him when his kingdom comes. But before that time there is going to be a move of God across the world. And everything that you're seeing now, all this upheaval, all this turmoil in the world is all designed by the Lord Himself. God is about to pour out His Spirit on this earth. And yes, there's going to be millions, billions who will reject His word, who will fight against that. There will be open spiritual battles going on. Things will be revealed that have never been revealed before. The darkness will be revealed to so many, and the light will be revealed to so many. And all this will transpire before any talk of a catching away or any talk of a rise of the Antichrist. For God is merciful and he is kind. And just like he said to that broken, repented murderer on the cross next to him, today you will be with me in paradise. All it takes is a recognition of our sin and the acceptance of Christ's death on the cross and resurrection as our salvation. He is truly the only one. There is not another religion in this world that offers what Jesus Christ brings. Because he's the truth and the light and the way. God coming to earth, reaching out his hand and saying, Come with me. And I pray that each one of you has said that prayer. Because the time is now upon us for those who have walked with God, who have loved Jesus Christ, who have been following in his word to shine. God wants to use you. For everything you've been learning, all your Bible studies, and all the things you've learned in the past are all going to come to light, and they will become fruitful if we follow in the steps of Almighty God and hear the same vision that Paul heard. Please come and help us. And that could be your neighbor, could be your enemy, and it could be the people in our ran. This is Russ Scalzo for Chronicles of the End Times. Keep looking up.
