Chronicles of the End Times
Occasionally, people say, are we really in the last days? How do we know? Does it matter one way or another? We will try to answer these questions and many others in this study. But the most important question may be, how can we reach others with hope in these changing times? One part of prophecy is often emphasized over another, causing us to lose perspective and miss the blessing and beauty of prophecy in scripture. I have taken the information in this study from many authors and teachers who have their lives studying God's word. I have added some insight that the Holy Spirit taught me. With God's help, I have endeavored to keep the whole counsel of the word of God in full view to give us an accurate picture of Christ and His great love for a lost world. I pray that this will challenge you and cause you to grow in the knowledge of our Lord Jesus Christ, as it has me preparing it. Let's begin!
Chronicles of the End Times
Prophecy of The Ten Kings and Civilizational Spheres.
Headlines out of Davos say the liberal international order is finished, replaced by a rising world of civilizational spheres. We take that bold claim and hold it up to Scripture, asking whether a multipolar map—organized by culture, faith, and tradition—could be the very stage Daniel and Revelation anticipated. Rather than hunting for a perfect fit in a single union or continent, we explore how ten centers of power might emerge as the prophesied Ten Kings of Revelation.
We trace how this model reframes earlier theories tied to the European Union and why Huntington’s civilizational categories feel newly relevant. Fold in AI’s reach—an image that speaks, scores, grants, and denies—and the machinery for swift, global alignment looks less like fantasy and more like a plausible operating system.
Through it all, we keep our footing where it belongs: God’s sovereignty over leaders and timelines. Historical parallels to Cyrus and Nebuchadnezzar remind us that power players can be instruments without knowing it. We close by reading Daniel 7 and fixing our hope on the Son of Man, whose kingdom will not pass away. If civilizational blocs harden and digital control expands, we respond not with panic but with discernment, courage, and trust in Christ’s enduring rule.

Welcome everyone. This is Russ Scalzo, Chronicles of the End Times. It's good to be with you today. Today I'd like us to look at what's going on in the world today. That might be Bible prophecy being fulfilled right before our eyes. The meeting that was held in Davos over the last couple of days for the World Economic Forum has experienced something it's never experienced before, possibly a revelation of what the new world is going to look like and the kings of the new world. I want you to take a listen to Dr. Steve Hurley. You may or may not know of him. He is a podcaster, also a radio personality, with well over a million viewers on YouTube. I believe he gives a short and concise report on exactly what went on there and how it might shape and fulfill the biblical prophecy in Daniel and the book of Revelation. It's important that we understand that President Trump is being used in these times that we live to shape the world, to fulfill Bible prophecy. Does he know that? There is no way. But like every president before him, whether they realize it or not, Democrat or Republican, God is in control. And the moves they make; we may not like. But I guarantee you nothing happens in this universe without God allowing it. The Lord Jesus Christ, his Father, and the Holy Spirit never slumber and never sleep. But as a human example, they don't get up in the morning, look at the New York Times or CNN or Fox News and go, Oh man, how did that happen? God is in control. It's all written down. And Isaiah, he says, I have declared it and I will perform it. Some of you that may be out there and just can't stand Trump, we all have our opinions. But I want us all to know that I'm not giving glory to any one man. I'm just telling you, just like Cyrus was used by God, and he was a bloody man, and Nebuchadnezzar was used by God, and he was a bloody man. God's not looking for a new Jesus to work through. After all, he works through you and me. He used a donkey once to speak to a prophet. I'm just telling you that we need to understand God will do what God will do. Like I said, this might very well be the new alignment that we read about in Daniel and in the book of Revelation.

Here we go. What Trump has officially announced at Davos and to Davos is that that liberal international order, that era of liberal globalism, is dead. It is over. It is now being replaced by a rising multipolar world composed of civilizational spheres that govern their own respective regions of the world that are united by a common culture, custom, and tradition, particularly a common religious tradition. The era of globalism is dead. The new age of civilizationalism is rising. And in this changing world, Europe is going to have to concede its place in our hemisphere, most especially Denmark's claim over Greenland. That monopolization of Greenland is over. It could easily be allowed to exist during the period of the liberal international order, no problem, but not in a civilizationalist order where we are now the governing civilization responsible for our own hegemonic sphere. This is exactly what President Trump has been doing from day one. Remember Panama, right? I mean, literally the first week he came into office, the Panama Canal, Trump was very aggressive towards the president of Panama for allowing the Panama Canal to basically be taken over by China. And Trump bottom line said, look, it's not happening. Either you're going to rectify that or we're going to rectify that. We'll take the Panama Canal back if we have to. No problem. Panama, Venezuela, of course, with Maduro, Cuba, narco-terrorist boats in the Caribbean, now Greenland. Gang, this is civilizationalism. This is the new multipolar, civilizationalist, rising world happening right before our very eyes.
So, what are we supposed to take from that?
You might listen to that and go; I don't know if I believe that something brand new like that is going to transpire. The ten horns that we see refers to a prophetic symbol in the books of Daniel and Revelation, representing ten kings or kingdoms that arise from a great empire, who gain power and give it to the Antichrist, wage war against God, and is defeated by Christ's return. Now, for many years, many theologians and pastors and Christians believed that this was going to be the European Union, especially when the European Union came together with ten countries. And of course, since then it has more than doubled. And the thinking changed a little. Well, maybe it could be this, maybe it could be that. Now at this point, it's just a theory, just like the ten nations in the European Union was a theory. But this to me makes a lot more sense. Because the Antichrist will control the entire world, the entire world economy. He will control it through his image, which will be an AI image of himself, which will be a computer intelligence per se, that will already have control over all the finances of the world. So, the segue will be smooth and very believable. So, the discussion now seems to be in civilizational spheres. Interesting. And just how many of these civilizational spheres would there be? Samuel Huntington identifies seven or eight major civilizational spheres. Samuel Huntington, he passed in 2008. He was a professor at Harvard University. You can find his book on Amazon. The West, which would be the US, the EU, China, Russia, India, Middle East, Latin America, Africa. Now I'm not saying here that this is going to be ten separate sections that are going to find some type of euphoria together, because we know that in each one of these spheres, there's a lot of difference. There's a lot of problems. So, we're not looking at something that's some kind of euphoric unity. I believe it could just be someone in charge of that sphere. How could a king be in charge of a civilizational sphere of that magnitude, say as of Africa? Well, it's all about the economy. We're not saying all these people will be one in each sphere and everybody's going to live happily ever after. It's just a division, dividing up the earth. And the new digital economy could be the instrument of control. So, what if we end up with ten distinct civilizational regional groupings? It seems to me that if the Antichrist is going to rule the world, what is what the Bible says in Revelation chapter 17. When talking about the great prostitute, which is the false church, the religious people who deny Christ because they don't follow the word of God, we see that church developing today. He says, Then one of the seven angels who had the seven bulls came to me and said, Come, I will show you the judgment of the great prostitute who is seated on many waters, with whom the kings of the earth have committed sexual immorality, and with the wine of whose sexual immorality the dwellers on the earth became drunk. So, these references are always to the earth, to the entire earth. There's not going to be one country or one land that is going to be exempt from what God is going to do. It goes on to say that the dwellers of the earth whose names have not been written in the book of life from the foundation of the world will marvel to see the beast, because it was and is not and is to come. But they are to receive authority as kings for one hour together with the beast. These are of one mind, and they hand over their power and authority to the beast. Then again in verse fifteen the angel tells him, The waters that you saw where the prostitute is seated are peoples and multitudes and nations and languages. Whether these civilizational spheres will all come together in the very near future is yet to be seen. But it's safe to say that the Bible is clear that the entire world will be deceived and follow the Antichrist, and that these ten leaders will have power with the Antichrist for a short time. Could this be the proper interpretation of the ten kings of the world? I believe it's a good chance there is. There have been those in the past, fifty, sixty years ago, that predicted the ten kings would be ten regions of the world rather than ten separate countries. I'm not the first one to come up with this idea. But after this past week, coupled with the explosion of AI across the globe, we can only imagine the depths of evil that could come from AI in many different ways. And as I say this, I know that the Lord Jesus Christ conquers all, and he's given us that power. So as long as you and I are in this world, we have the authority to overcome the enemy. We just need to believe it and we just need to use it. I want to end with this scripture which I absolutely love in Daniel chapter seven, verses thirteen and fourteen. I saw in the night visions, and behold, with the clouds of heaven, there came one like the Son of Man. And he came to the ancient of days, and he was presented before him, and to him was given dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all the peoples, nations, languages should serve him. His dominion is an everlasting dominion, which shall not pass away, and his kingdom one that shall not be destroyed. This is Russ Scalzo for Chronicles of the End Times. Keep looking up. The king is coming.
