Catechism Class - Session 3 – Pentateuch and Gospels (Fr Nicholas Karipoff)
- The foundational books of the Bible
- The connection between the Old and New Testaments
Synopsis
The first five books of the Old Testament authored by Moses, and the first four books of the New Testament – the Gospels were accepted by the Church as God-inspired Scriptures. We will look at the meaning of the word ‘Testament’ in the context of Scripture and analyse the connections that exist between the two sections of Scripture. Making Pentateuch come alive from the vantage point of the Gospels we will present a compact picture of God’s plan for humanity revealed in these foundational books of the Scriptures.
