Christian Warrior Mission
Christian Warrior Mission trains believers to stand firm in a collapsing world.
We are a discipleship ministry, home-based warrior church, and working farm that comes alongside local churches—not to replace them, but to strengthen them by equipping men and women to lead, protect, provide, and disciple according to God’s Word.
We train across the Seven Battlefields:
Faith • Family • Fitness • Fundamentals • Finances • Fellowship • Fidelity
This is not a place for spectators, excuses, or passive Christianity.
This is where believers learn to pick up the Sword of Scripture, fortify their households, and lock shields with other warriors in Christ.
We build households that stand. We strengthen churches. We prepare saints for real-world battle.
No retreat. No surrender. Christ is King.

Need Prayer? Send us a text on how we can pray for you!
We explore Proverbs chapter 2, focusing on how wisdom begins with the fear of the Lord and serves as our protection against the world's temptations and dangers.
• Fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom, requiring reverent awe for the Creator
• God's wisdom acts as a shield to those who walk in integrity
• Scripture uses warrior language to speak to the protector instinct in believers
• Warning against associating with those who speak perverse things and walk in darkness
• The "strange woman" represents temptations that pull us away from covenant relationships
• Maintaining close connection with your spouse prevents dangerous spiritual drift
• Reading a proverb daily helps in ongoing sanctification and applying God's wisdom
Join us Monday through Friday at 7:00 AM for our Daily Battle Bible Study as we fight three battles: cultivating a humble heart, pursuing a relationship with God through His Word, and interceding for others in prayer.

Welcome to your Daily Battle Bible Study. The daily Bible study where we fight three battles Monday through Friday. One we fight for a humble, grateful heart, aligned onto the Lord, checking our gripes, our complaints, our entitlements at the door, getting humble and grateful for everything, all the blessings that he's given us. Two, we deliberately pursue a relationship with our Lord and Savior by studying his word, prayer. And then three, we intercede and lock our shields of faith and pray for him. So this is a Bible study that's done around seven o'clock Monday through Friday, and I hope you'll join us. We are in Proverbs, we're going to do one chapter at a time and this is, of course, is a part of ministry for Christian Warrior Mission, a home church community arm and ministry forging warriors for today's challenges. So I hope you've got your cup of joe, I've got mine and I hope we get somebody chatting. Good morning. My love Lauren might be a little bit upset at me this morning because just before I went live she likes to get up and get some time in her Bible and she was still snugging up in her bed so I had to tickle her feet, which is dangerous because Lauren is not a calm person to be tickled, she is a thrashing monstrosity when you do that, but she was very good-natured about it and, I am needless to say, I was uninjured. So thank you, lord, on that one, but it's great to be with you. I often say you know, if you struggle to get in the word, do it with your first cup of coffee, and I have my first cup of coffee here. Some of you may be on your fifth cup of coffee, and that's okay. So again, go grab your cup of coffee. Some of you may be on your fifth cup of coffee, and that's okay. So again, go grab your cup of coffee, grab your Bible and let's go ahead and let's win our first battle.
Speaker 1:Heavenly Father, lord, we thank you. Thank you for waking up this morning, thank you for the protections that you gave us last night. You protected our family and our nation. We thank you for the trillions of cells in our body that had to work near perfectly just for us to wake up this morning. And when you take that and you multiply that time by all the people we love and know, who are who woke up this morning as well, we're so thankful.
Speaker 1:We thank you for your common grace, your creation that testifies to your existence, specificity of your creation, the complexity of your creation, beauty of DNA, code of DNA and stars and man it's just overwhelming. So we thank you for those, lord. We thank you for the heavens, the sun, the earth, the stars. We thank you for them all. And we also thank you for everything on this earth. Thank you for all the animals, the plants, thank you for everything, from the tallest peak to the deepest ocean and everything between. Thank you for it all. Thank you for sunrises and sunsets, cool breeze on a hot day like today, well, warm fire on a cold day. Thank you for the sounds of birds in the morning, children's laughter. We thank you for taste of good food and good drink. We thank you for everything, lord.
Speaker 1:We thank you for the people in our lives. Help us to always treasure the people you've put in our lives, no matter how long they're in our lives. Help us to leave nothing unsaid. But we ask now that give us all the gift of discernment to read your word as we deliberately pursue you today and every day. You give us the gift of discernment to find truth, your truth. There's only one truth and you are it. Help us to discern your truth from your word. May, this time that we pursue you please you. May it glorify you and please you. May it glorify you and only you, and may it bring us all closer to you. In Jesus' name, we pray amen. All right, battle one done. Those of you who can't see, this is Lauren saying good morning and this is her saying grateful. I don't know if that's a genuinely wide smile for being woken up or if that is a gritted teeth smile for me tickling her this morning. So, yeah, today we're in Proverbs, we're going to be in Proverbs for a while, and yesterday, you know, we talked about Proverbs 1, and we went over and we pointed out the order in which God dropped wisdom and how he warned and gave wisdom, and it was, of course wisdom starts with fear of the Lord.
Speaker 1:Now, in Jesus' pro-culture today, you know everyone, no one wants to fear the Lord, nobody wants to be afraid of anything, and that's correct In Jesus' bro culture today. There's very little reverence in modern churchianity today and I think that a lot of us would be more faithful in our walks if we had a healthy fear in all of the Lord that when we go before the universe, the Lord of the universe, creator of the universe, creator of everything, lord of everything. We will all stand naked before with every motivation known and everything we ever did, if we treated that with a lot more reverence. A lot more reverence, so, um, so, and that's where it all begins, Because if you fear God above everything else, you have nothing else to fear. God is with us. He can be against us Now, everyone will be against us, but it doesn't matter because God is with us. So again, fear of the Lord is the beginning of all wisdom, and that's going to be reinforced here in chapter two.
Speaker 1:So I'm going to go ahead and share my screen and I'm using Logos here, which I'm getting better with Great program, but, man, pretty steep learning curve to be able to use it on the fly and in a slick, clean way. So so let's do that. So share screen, no, okay. So I think you guys can see that it's kind of gotten out my ugly mug, which is okay. Let's see if I can try something else here. Maybe that works better. Okay, now let's go to the other one. There we go, alright. So I'll just slide over for a little bit.
Speaker 1:So my son, oh sorry, yahweh gives wisdom. This is Proverbs, chapter 2, and I'm reading out of the legacy standard bible, um, the esv is great too. I often read that there's going to be slight differences in words, but the meaning should be will be the same. So here here we go. My son, if you will receive my words and treasure my commandments within you, to make your ear pay attention to wisdom, incline your heart to discernment, or if you call out for understanding, give your voice for discernment, if you seek her as silver and search for her as hidden treasure and search for her in treasure, so that's if you do all those things, then you will understand the fear of Yahweh, right. So there it is again. Right, setting the standard, setting the base, the foundations of everything is the fear of Yahweh, okay. And it's not a terror or whatever. It is a healthy, reverent awe. It's respecting Yahweh and giving due respect and deference to the creator of the universe.
Speaker 1:So, and find the knowledge of God right. So you fear God, you'll know knowledge. Have knowledge of God, for Yahweh gives wisdom from his mouth. From his mouth comes knowledge, come knowledge and discernment. He stores up sound wisdom for the upright, a shield to those who walk in integrity, to guard the paths of justice, and he keeps the way of his holy ones.
Speaker 1:So scroll down, right down to the top again. Look at that language. This is designed to speak to the warrior in you Shield, right, these are the paths of justice. Again, the war language is real in the Bible and it's because men are wired to be protectors and not pacifist bush balls of today. God speaks to us in his divine word Kindle that in you.
Speaker 1:Okay, so then you will understand righteousness and justice and equity. Every good track and justice and equity, every good track, wisdom will enter your heart and knowledge will be pleasant to your soul. Discretion will keep you. Discernment will guard you. Discernment is good judgment, solid judgment, being able to see what's good and what's bad. Okay, to deliver you from the way of evil.
Speaker 1:Now here is going to be some more warnings. Okay, again, step one fear of God. Step two is to deliver you from the way of evil the man who speaks perverse things, from those who forsake the paths of uprightness, from those who forsake the paths of uprightness To walk in the ways of darkness, who are glad to do evil and they rejoice in the perversity of evil, whose paths are crooked and who are devious in their tracks. Okay, we'll stop there. All right. So, all right. So, starting in verse 12, to deliver you from way of evil, all right, the man who speaks perverse things, again, avoiding those who drag you further away from God and God's intent for you.
Speaker 1:And unfortunately, all of us, as we talked about yesterday, had friends or a friend group that did this, who were evil, whose heart was debased, who would pull you, whether it's towards drugs or you know, or countless other things out there that you know, pornography, the bad crowd that we're all that we're all, most of us were not raised Christian and, in the proper environments, had to, um, were constantly tempted by, you know, this reminds me, um, till we get common here, um, which reminds me of something yesterday. So we homeschool our kids and we took Warren, took our daughter, well, took our whole family, to a gymnastics studio and the gymnastics studio there were kids there and you know, and obviously not very well-discipled Christian kids, because there was a lot of mean girl, little girl stuff going on and a lot of monstrous bad children behavior, with a lazy coach who didn't correct, um, correct behavior or adjust things. Um, and you know, my daughter wasn't able to pick up on the mean-spirited things and the wicked things that the children were doing around her. But my wife and you know, and my mother, who was saved two years ago here, baptized on the property, very long, hard life, godlessness, who she often questions, are the way we raise our kid, you know, being on the farm, disciple, not a lot of exposure to the wickedness of the world. She, even she immediately saw the difference in the children and agreed with you know that gave her a pause to do that.
Speaker 1:So again, paul Washer, the wise Paul Washer, you know, describes sin in a very good way. He said, you know, sinful people would fit into this category. And when sin springs up in your life and you're, you know, walking through the jungle or wherever you're at, and a Cobra pops up, and when a Cobra pops up, you've got, you know, a second, a couple seconds to figure out what you're going to do. We're either going to run, get away from it, right, because the cobra represents sin, or you're going to cut its head off if you've got a machete on your hand or whatever. So you know, again, here's the Bible warning us about hanging out with people and being tempted by the world to pull you away from God. All right.
Speaker 1:So let's now pick it up in verse 16. To deliver you from the strange woman, from the foreign woman who flatters you with her words, who forsakes the close companion of her youth. So she's already left. She's already left her husband of her youth right and forgets the covenant of her God, and her house sinks down to death and her tracks descend to the dead. All who go with her will not return and they will not reach the paths of life, so that you will walk in the way of good men and keep the paths of the righteous. So again, let's stop right there. Let's go back up a little bit to again.
Speaker 1:Now we're talking about the strange woman, we're talking about the flesh, we're talking Christians how many men I mean? This is rampant everywhere. But I expect the world that I was a worldly man and I was a lustful man and I've done every sin under the sun. But once you are saved, once you declare for the Lord, once you declare for the Lord, once you are his, the temptation to as life beats you down, as the responsibilities come on and things go as your old relationship, the one that you are trapped and bound by a covenant with God. If you're not doing it right, you can drift. Right, you can drift. And as you drift, right again, we do this so often and you have to schedule touch points with your wife. All right, when Lauren and I are in God's will and we have, you know, put God first, husband and wife, second, kids third, then everything else after that, there is no space between us. So when, of course, the solomon was wise, but the son of god is wiser, absolutely, bible's all from god, brother.
Speaker 1:So, um, as we go right and as we're, because we're, like we'll say, holding hands in the dark and you're walking in the dark, I know where she is at all times. I know if she stumbles, she knows if I stumble, I know if she's struggling, I know if she's scared, I know whatever, just from the touch of her hand struggling. I know if she's scared, I know whatever, just from the touch of her hand. If you don't schedule those touch points or if you're not walking, that because you've had a battle or resentment happens as you drift and once you lose contact and you're both walking in the dark of this world, that's when you become vulnerable to everything, because you don't know if they're one inch away or miles away. Right, because you've let resentment and you've let the enemy in your camp, okay, and let the world distract, and all these things. So what happens is you drift and then all of a sudden somebody else comes in and they whispered honey words in your ear and tell you how great you are, and all these things.
Speaker 1:And it's really easy for men particularly feel underappreciated, and oh, I mean. Well, I don't want to say that, it's easy for the human condition, but for people to fall victim to this type of thing. This is why the Bible is here in the second proverb, telling you what to do, right, what to avoid, right, so, um, so now let's get down here to all, right, we, for her house sinks down to death and her tracks descend to the dead, and who go with her will not return, they will not reach, and they will not reach the path of life. Okay, now, that's the end, so that you will walk in the way of good men. Keep the paths of the righteous. The upright will dwell in the land, the blameless will remain in it, the wicked will be cut off from the land, the treacherous will be torn away from it. So again, you know, heavy-hitting advice, commands, um, from god, right again, if you just obeyed proverbs, your life would be infinitely, um, more peaceful, more abundant, less less dramatic, less sinful. Right, they really are that good, which is why, again, I recommend reading a proverb every day for the rest of your life and applying it to that day. Now, as you continue to work out your sanctification, as you work out your you know, pursue God with fear and trembling, you're going to be able to apply them more steadily to more aspects of your life as you get better at this. But if you don't know them because you've never read them, well, that's impossible, right? So again, we've got some people in here. Hey, chris, terry, good to see you, you know, and XCore, I think. Cubed, thank you for watching, thanks for coming in, I appreciate you. And, of course, god is wiser. The Son of God in God is the wisest of all. So God bless you guys.
Speaker 1:Let's go ahead and fight our third battle now, which is to pray for one another and bless one another, and ask for God's blessing for the day. Heavenly Father, lord, we thank you. We thank you for this time together. Thank you for the brothers and sisters who join me to lock shields together, come together to invest in one another and to deliberately pursue you with all that they are. Lord, I pray that you would send them out today, set divine appointments, give their testimony to share your gospel. I pray that you would equip us all to be lights in the world, that people would see us and know that we are yours. Lord, have people wash up on our beach with questions that we can answer? The answer is always you. Lord.
Speaker 1:I pray a prayer of peace and protection over this fellowship, over our troops overseas, our first responders at home, our veterans of yesteryear, our troops overseas, our first responders at home, our veterans of yesteryear. Lord, I pray for my beloved America. I pray that you would bless her, that she would turn from her sin, hit her knees, repent, seek your face, and that you would see her and heal her so that we can once again be one nation under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice. Lord, I pray for our leaders, that you would use them to do your will and only your will. So now I call this fellowship of attention to put on the full armor of God.
Speaker 1:Pick up the strap on the shield of faith, pick up the sword of the spirit and boldly step forward to join the shield wall, locking shields to the left and right as we march forward to take ground for your kingdom, for your glory forever. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. All right, everyone. That is all I got, brandy, so good to see you this morning. That's all I got for you this morning. I will see you tomorrow. We'll be on Proverbs 3.
