Card 1: The Magician
Use Left/Right to seek, Home/End to jump to start or end. Hold shift to jump forward or backward.
We are following the continuing series, and narrative, of the tarot by looking at each card. We started with the Fool, and now we move on to the Magician. This is one of my favorite cards for so many reasons, all of which we get into in the episode.
In this episode, the main themes we discuss are:
- How the Magician starts the journey of moving through the three rows of the Major Arcana (the Creations / Destruction / Evolution rows).
- Once we end with the World, we cycle through the Fool, and the journey begins again.
- The significance of the numerology of 1
- Awareness of the magick within the self, bridged with the magick of the world
- Channeling the wild and the enlightened to manifest
- Conscious creation, conscious connection
- Symbolism in different depictions of the Magician
- How an old cartoon has one of the most profound depictions of the Magician (what is your guess?)
