The opinion of Dr. Ramon Caceres is highly valued.  He has been named a Fellow of the Institute of Electrical  and Electronic Engineers (IEEE) and  a Distinguished Scientist by the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM). He is on the board of directors of the Computing Research Association's Committee on Widening Participation (CRA-WP). Specifically, he is a co-chair of the CRA-WP Grad Cohort Workshop for Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, Accessibility, and Leadership Skills (IDEALS) (https://cra.org/cra-wp/grad-cohort-ideals/), in which he has also served as speaker and mentor.
