Financial Literacy with Dr. Gladys Colón

In this episode with Dr. Gladys Colon, we touched base on several concerns surrounding financial aid.  Some college students find the process extremely tedious, many others miss out on opportunities due to ignorance or lack of motivation. 

In our conversation we discussed about some issues that black and brown students come across when they apply for financial aid.  Also,  Dr Colon brings some good news to undocumented folks inquiring for financial assistance as well.

We encourage parents and students to listen in and spread the word.  You can't go wrong and there is plenty to learn. 

Our guest is a true advocate for all students, and she has a personal commitment to students of color.  As a product of the Hartford Public school system and being the first person to attend college, she knew early on that she had to be a true warrior for this cohort of students.
