The future of my podcast. Do I go with a niche? The only expertise I have is on my 54-year old life. I love podcasting.
But, I will try and be more organized, focused, and consistent.
And one personal development I want to try to start doing.

Good afternoon, everyone. This is Carol with the more remarks podcast.
Unknown:Welcome, welcome.
Carol Marks:I just wanted to say it's New Year's Eve, December 31 2020. I am going to work today later, I work from three to 1130. This will be the latest New Year's Eve I've ever stayed up. I don't normally stay up on New Year's Eve. But since I'm going to work, I have to stay up. We just never do anything for New Year's Eve, we just don't go out. I'd rather stay at home. And you're usually asleep. But I have some things to say. And I don't really have anything scripted. I just have some things rolling around in my head, mainly about I guess, the year coming up. And what I want to do especially with this podcast. Tomorrow is January 1, which means it also starts the big burn challenge from concept to rowing. I signed up to do that they have several January revolution. That's what they're calling it revolution challenges. And the big burn is the hardest one of them all. I don't think I'm going to be able to do it. But I signed up for it anyway, it's to row 20,000 calories, not meters calories in the month of January, which is a lot more than what I just completed with the 200,000 meter challenge. I did accomplish that with the holiday challenge. I did accomplish that. And I'm so proud of myself. I really didn't think I was going to do it either. But I not only did it I surpassed it. But anyway, that was December, trying to focus on the future with the podcast too. So I've been listening to buzz cast. That's a podcast you guys have need to go listen to. I love them over there. They they work at buzzsprout which is what is hosting this podcast. I love buzzsprout I love my podcast, but I've been kind of getting down on myself, I guess because I feel like my podcast is not niched enough. Or, you know niched down to a certain topic. The problem with that is I don't really have a certain topic I want to share, or that I feel like I have an expertise on to dedicate to a podcast, the only expertise I have is on my 54 year old life. You know, I guess I could talk about rolling, but I'm not an expert on that. I'm going to start in January, every Saturday, I'm going to start purging the house. I'm calling it the big and slow burn a purge, sorry, the big and slow purge, I'm going to take a room. And then I'm going to in that room, I'm going to take a drawer, or cabinet or closet or surface and clean it out. So it's just gonna take a couple hours on a Saturday, so it doesn't eat at my whole weekend. I'm going to slowly do that throughout the whole house. Now I could I guess, podcast on that while I'm doing it. But I'm not an expert at that. I think people want to listen to a podcast for someone's expertise, or that's what I have been observing or listening to lately. But you know what, I'm just gonna keep going with what I'm doing. Because I like it. And that's all that matters is that I like if somebody listens, great. If somebody doesn't listen, that's fine, too. But this is my life. This is how I started my blog as well. I really don't have anything specific. I don't have a niche blog, either. My blog is called Carol remarks calm. And it's just my place to remark on whatever I want to the podcast is an extension of that. I love podcasting. I think it's super easy. It's easier than blogging, I think. And I enjoy it. I think the main thing I'm going to concentrate instead of trying to come up with a topic, I may stick to a few. But I'm really gonna try to concentrate on being more organized and more consistent with the podcast. So those are the things and one more thing one personal thing that I want to concentrate on for myself for the new year,
Carol:and I've tried this before, I just have to practice it or get into the habit of practice. If I want to, I don't know how to say this, I want without sounding ridiculous. I want to be calmer. I don't want to react to situations and people, I would rather respond to them. That is going to take me getting into the habit of pausing to think about what I want to say first. And that will take some practice because I don't want to be all emotional. I want to be calmer and more logical, I guess with what I have to say. That is what I will concentrate on one day at a time. Okay, well, I think I've talked long enough. Mainly it's only five minutes. I wanted to come on and say Happy New Year. Y'all be safe out there. Hopefully 2021 will be better. One can hope Happy New Year. I
