AOC and Miss Rachel: Public Figures Under Scrutiny
When our political principles clash with our personal choices, who holds the moral high ground? Today's episode dives into the fascinating contradictions of public figures whose actions seem to contradict their stated values.
We begin with Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, the progressive firebrand representative who was recently photographed enjoying the comforts of first class while en route to a Bernie Sanders rally titled "Fighting Oligarchy." The irony wasn't lost on fellow passengers, one of whom quipped that AOC is "fighting the system one first-class mimosa at a time." At $1,100 per seat, this premium travel choice has raised eyebrows among critics who question how it aligns with her messaging on economic inequality. Climate activists have further complicated the picture by pointing out how first class seating contributes disproportionately to carbon emissions—another cause the congresswoman champions.
The conversation then shifts to the surprising controversy surrounding beloved children's content creator Miss Rachel, whose "Songs for Littles" videos have accumulated over 10 billion views. The anti-semitism watchdog group Stop Anti-Semitism has called for an investigation into whether Rachel Griffin Accurso is being paid to spread "Hamas-aligned propaganda" through her social media posts about children in Gaza. This represents a dramatic departure for a creator who once focused exclusively on educational content for toddlers, revealing how even spaces seemingly removed from politics can become battlegrounds for larger cultural tensions.
These stories highlight the increasing scrutiny public figures face in an era where personal choices and social media activity are constantly monitored for consistency. Whether you're a political representative or a children's entertainer, the public increasingly demands alignment between message and action. What childhood shows did you grow up watching? Share your thoughts and join the conversation about where responsibility lies when public figures appear to contradict their own messaging.

Well, hello, good morning. I hope you're doing great this Tuesday. All right, let's get the party started. I have two stories for you. They're over on my ex-account on An Americanist. Let me see something real quick. So my account over there. Well, you know what the account is, it's an Americanist blog. That's my ex-account. Also, please go read my latest article. That article I hate to call them articles, they're not articles, they're blog posts on my an americanist, where I wrote about uh, don't be a panicking, donald trump, master of the art of the deal, and now apparently the english language offered some presidential research, reassurances, reassurances, as markets tumbled from tariff tremors. Don't be a panicking, it's a part command, part catchphrase in fully Trump. Yeah, go read that over there if you would. Please leave a comment, like and share and all that stuff on my blog.
Speaker 1:Okay, moving on, we have two topics we have AOC and we have Ms Rachel. All right, first we're going to go with AOC, apparently flying first class to uh, fight oligarchies at Bernie Sanders' rally. Socialist representative and you can call her a socialist because I believe she is a member of that party. Let's see, alexandria Ocasio-Cortez was photographed flying first class to a Bernie Sanders event last month, with critics saying it shows how she battles inequality. One mimosa at a time, maybe that'll be the name of this episode. One mimosa at a time. An incredulous passenger snapped AOC getting comfy in the roomy first class cabin of JetBlue. I didn't know, jetblue had first class. On March 19th that departed from JFK Airport in Queens for Las Vegas where she spoke at a Sanders rally titled Fighting Oligarchy. I mean, this is just. I mean you can't make this stuff up, it's just brilliant. I love it. Okay.
Speaker 1:The next day, the equality spouting darling of the far left, headlined Fighting Oligarchy, rallied along with her socialist comrade, senator Sanders of Vermont in North Vegas and at Arizona State University in Tempe. Tempe, temp, tempe, yeah, that's right. Nothing says power to the people like ignoring voters, looking to say hello and reclining in first class while tweeting about incoming inequality. The flyer who took the photo told the Post, claiming that AOC did not respond to her friendly comments once she sat down. Aoc is fighting the system. One first-class mimosa at a time, said the passenger, tracy, who is from Brooklyn and was sitting in the economy cabin. The congresswoman, whose 14th district includes parts of the Bronx and Queens, is seen in the snap leaning over in her seat, appearing to grab or look at something. A man is sitting next to her. A first-class jet blue seat on the same route, weekday and time later this month, costs upward of eleven hundred dollars. Eleven hundred dollars.
Speaker 1:First class seats on planes also have been widely derided by climate change activists because they typically produce many times more the carbon emissions of economy seats, since they take up more room, thus reducing the number of people able to fly on. Oh good heavens, it's like oh my gosh. Oh, I don't even know the analogy I'm trying to think of. It's so stupid. Oh my gosh. Talk about nitpicking. Some Nework polls are talking about the. I'm talking about the climate change people saying that, uh, carbon emissions because because you take up more room on the airplane with your first class shut up. Some new york polls said the regal traveling by aoc, a rabid climate change protester, is just the latest example of hypocrisy from the left Socialists. Okay, I'm gonna read. Don't read this whole thing to you, you can go find it All right.
Speaker 1:Next up, miss Rachel, though we gotta talk about Miss Rachel. Look, I have an almost three-year-old grandson. When he was younger, when he was younger, he's three. It's probably been over a year, though, since we've watched Miss Rachel at our house because we caught on to that real quick and we're like, no, we're turning this off. No more, miss Rachel for you. And we found something else. He likes these number blocks and there's actually videos teaching counting and math and all that stuff. He likes those videos. But Miss Rachel has just full-on. Come out all the way now it's libtard. Come out all the way now. Uh, it's libtard.
Speaker 1:Youtube star miss rachel should be investigated for spreading hamas propaganda over posts about gaza kids. And this is anti-semitism group, tells ag pam bondy if you have small children, you know who. You know who. This is miss rachel. Um, again, like I said, we don't watch her anymore because when we first started watching her, she didn't have any of this crap on her show and it was really interesting Not interesting, it was. The grand cam loved it and it seemed like it was good. But then she had this one character on there that you knew was a girl but looked trying to be a boy face piercings, singing songs okay, whatever, we're going to move on to the article. Youtube's top toddler whisperer, miss rachel, should be investigated over whether she's being paid to spread hamas aligned propaganda for her posts about the deaths of kids in gaza. A major anti-semitemitism group tells Attorney General Pambani yes, investigate this woman.
Speaker 1:Ms Rachel real name Rachel Griffin Accurso has become the model equivalent of Mr Rogers, educating and entertaining millions of young kids with her Songs for Littles, streaming videos which have been viewed more than 10 billion, with a b times. But the jewish civil rights watch group stop anti-semitism said miss rachel is not so sweet and they provide examples. She is spreading messages that jewish people are terrible. Stop anti-Semitism. Takes issue with multiple posts Ms Rachel made about the condition of children in the Gaza Strip during the war, alleging that the content is either debunked or disputed by Israel. The group says the posts are anti-Israel and are meant to inspire pro-Homosexuality among young kids. Yes, indeed, she is spreading this propaganda to her young audience and it is shameful. She needs to be off of YouTube.
Speaker 1:Where's your demonetization there, youtube, given the vast sums of foreign funds that have been directed toward propaganda oh my gosh, propaganda, I know the word, I just my mouth will not say it or propagandizing our young people on college campuses? We suspect there is. Oh my gosh, this is so much. Let me slow down. Let me slow down down, all right. Our young people on college campuses. We suspect there is a similar dynamic in the online influencer space.
Speaker 1:Yes, I agree, stop anti-semitism director leora res said in a letter sent monday to bondi we urge you and your office to investigate whether or not miss rachel is being remunerated. I'm sorry, that's not right rem. Oh my gosh, r-e-m-u-n-e-r-a-t-e-d. Okay, I'm not even good to disseminate hamasigned propaganda to her millions of followers, as this may violate the foreign agents. Wow, they're getting really into it. And specific, aren't they? In the letter to Bondi, the group said Ms Rachel, who once focused solely on catering to children, has been incorporating Hamas-like propagated images and stories into her content. Now, like I said, I have not watched her in a very long time, so I don't know, but they do provide images in this post and it's true. Her posts have largely ignored the suffering of Israeli victims, hostages and Jewish children, while she consistently amplifies misinformation from Hamas and other anti-Israel sources. Don't forget, miss Rachel, hamas is a terrorist group, so be careful.
Speaker 1:All right, I have gone on long enough rambling. We need a question of the day. How about this one? When you were growing up, what was your favorite children's show to watch? I don't know that I like in the morning. I remember watching Captain Kangaroo. There was another one. Captain Kangaroo was probably, but there was another one I never watched, mr Rogers. Um, it seemed like there was another one, but I can't remember now. Okay, that's the question of the day. When you were growing up, what was your favorite children's show to watch? If you, if you had any. Okay, gotta go. Thanks for listening. Love y'all. Bye.
