Karen Hayes (Sally Fields) may be down in her luck on love--but she has a rockin' career in fashion that is taking off, and even gets to work with her two best friends, Beth (Carrie Fisher) and Priscilla (Jackee Harry). Just when she's about to land the deal of her career, her clumsy ways land her in the hospital, after which a mysterious gentleman named Terry (Mandy Patinkin) dances his way into her heart.
