Christina is a native New Yorker. She relocated to Southern California in 2003. Christina worked in high technology in management positions for several years. After all the layoffs in 2002 she left the corporate world and, with her son’s encouragement, established the Martel Insurance Alliance in 2005. After earning her California Life and Health insurance license, she began by offering Health Insurance for individuals, families, and small businesses. She loved the health insurance business. She also enjoyed dealing with seniors and added Medicare, Medicare Advantage and Medigap plans to her portfolio early in 2010.
Christina found her true passion when she began to focus on helping seniors. Now 90% of her business is geared toward making Medicare simple for them. She is devoted to educating her clients about the plans available to them. Many have come to her from other brokers without a clue as to what they have. Clarifying plan benefits, answering all questions, and being available are keys to her success. A confused client is an unhappy client. One of her favorite things to do is to speak about topics regarding the ins and outs of Medicare. “Taking Clients from Medicare Hell to Medicare Heaven,” is one of her signature talks.
On the personal side, Christina is the mother of four children. She’s a staunch supporter of PanCan.org which does ongoing research to help find a cure for Pancreatic cancer. Pancreatic cancer took the life of her oldest son John in 2013. Additionally, she supports animal rescue organizations, a cause she’s passionate about.
