Show Notes

For over 15 years Dan has worked in the experiential leadership and development field. From a young age, he developed a passion for the outdoors which lead to challenging himself mountain biking, canyoneering, rock, ice, and alpine climbing as well as other outdoor activities. He believes his experiences there have played a very beneficial part in his own personal growth and development. Through this, he developed a personal mission to help elevate others to new heights through outdoor adventure and travel.

This passion for the outdoors along with his excitement for entrepreneurship motivated him to start a leadership and guiding company in 2005 using adventure activities and travel as a reinforcement tool to teach principles of theory-based personal growth and leadership development.  He later partnered with another leadership development company Pinnacle as well as a travel company based out of Boston, Overseas Adventure Travel that has offices in over 60 countries enabling him a stronger ability to fulfill his personal mission.

Since starting his company many years ago as well as serving as partner and CEO of Pinnacle West Leadership and Team Development, he has personally worked with hundreds of teams and thousands of individuals of start-ups and fortune 500 companies, families, and universities enabling travel with his clients and other professionals throughout the Western and Eastern United States, Alaska, Canada, Central, and South America, Russia, and Asia. Some of his many experiences leading teams include summiting 7 Summit peaks, rafting the rivers of central and North America, countless days canyoneering, rock and ice climbing, adventuring and seeing the wildlife in tropical areas such as the Galapagos Islands and Thailand, as well as climbing alpine rock and glaciated volcanic summits around the world.

He believes it is important to always be seeking some level of discomfort or challenge for real growth to take place and if done correctly can help us all draw closer to God which for Dan personally has been especially helpful in nature. He and his team design programs to meet the individual fitness and adventure comfort levels within the organizations they work with.

Other than a few years spent in Ukraine serving as a missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Dan has a hard time being away too long from his family and friends in the Wasatch area. At home, you will find him climbing and mountain biking with his friends and family as well as spending time with his wife Laura, two step-children, nephews and nieces as well as other family members.
