Today we have with us Lee and Jackie Strahan. They're sisters and their owner operators of Uncle Louie's Fireworks, which is the top-rated fireworks store Northwest Ohio, Southern Michigan. My understanding is every year you have your own fireworks display that you put on for Uncle Louie's. Tell us about the show that you're planning for this year.

We are so excited. We always have a free fireworks show and demo on the Saturday of Father's Day weekend. So you can bank on that on your calendar year after year. It has grown significantly over the past few years. We've added a food truck. We've had got ears, elephant ears, funnel cakes, corndogs, beverages. They come out absolutely amazing fair food snacks for everybody. Our main focus is a family-friendly event that we want kids to feel safe and families to feel like they can be bring anybody here. We have plenty of parking in the parking lot, and then you can park up and down Schnipke Drive. That is not a main through throughway, so that you are able to park on the side of the road to be able to watch. And more and more people come every year. So I'm going to let Jackie talk about this year's show because it is going to be super cool.

So it kind of started out where we used to just demo some product, show people maybe some new colors, some new effects that were coming out, but it's grown to the point to where we now have a large audience. So this year we've actually hired Chad from Pyro Uverse. He's coming in to shoot our show this year. It's going to be an 8090s rock pyro musical that will be all shot with consumer fireworks, which we always do. We don't ever do Class B, the big, big stuff. We show you what you can buy here. It helps you to get an idea, as some people may say, Oh, I like the stuff that happens in downtown Toledo. Well, that's just a whole nother ball game, but there is so much fun that can be had in consumer fireworks. So this year we're gonna do an announced demo where we're gonna show people where you could light two cakes at one time, get a layered effect, give you some great ideas. Then we'll take a little pause and we'll get right into the pyromusical this year. Should be happening around dusk, 9 30 to 9 45-ish.
SPEAKER_00
Okay. So um, do you any specials that you'd offer um any customers that mention this podcast?
SPEAKER_02
Absolutely. Um, anybody that mentions this podcast will get ten dollars off any uh 500 gram cake that is on the floor. Um, and we have five, six aisles worth of them, so there's plenty to choose from.
SPEAKER_00
So your demo weekend sounds great. Um, anything else going on that weekend?
SPEAKER_02
That is also our super sale weekend. So we like to give customers um an early shot at getting some really great deals on their fireworks to stock up for 4th of July. So there will be sales and products um with huge discounts. Uh, and we do that Friday, Saturday, and Sunday of the uh demo weekend. That way, if customers can't come on Saturday, what is nice to come in that weekend, you have plenty of time to talk to Jackie and I about getting your show put together and having a lot of personalized attention. A lot of times when you come in on July 1st, 2nd, 3rd, and 4th, it is very busy and it is hard to get a lot of personalized attention to build a large show.
SPEAKER_00
Thank you very much, and I'm sure um you guys will do another great job of helping everybody in northwestern Ohio and southern Michigan um celebrate um the 4th of July and uh to celebrate the summer. Thank you.
