Welcome to Episode 7 of The Yoga Den Podcast.
This week's guest, Hazel Bober is a teacher, a mother and an environmental activist. She also happens to be my wife.
From a young age, social justice has guided Hazel in the decisions she's made, leading her to spend most of her working life in either the public or the charity sector.
Although Hazel had a short stint in the corporate world, she quickly realised that the role that she was in did not fully align with our values. And so at that point, she decided to leave and retrain as a teacher.
Originally from London, England, Hazel has lived in Singapore for almost seven years. And in the last couple of years has become heavily involved as a volunteer in an organisation called Climate Conversations. The organisation aims to get people talking about taking action against climate breakdown and it's a subject that Hazel is very passionate about.
In this interview, we talk about:
🎙 climate breakdown;
🎙how climate change relates to yoga; and
🎙how without a planet, finding your purpose, or practising yoga means nothing.
Be prepared for some deep climate change chat and a little marital verbal jousting.
Sit back, grab a drink, and let's do this.
