Show Notes

Hola, bienvenidos, and welcome to a podcast where we tell stories for us and by us.

In this episode we will sit down with Disha Chandiramani and Tiffany Javier, two immigration lawyers based in New York City and founders and partners of Javier & Chandiramani Law Firm.  The topic of this episode is incredibly difficult and frustrating but must be understood and discussed in the context of the immigration debate that rages on in the U.S.  Our immigration system in the  is difficult to navigate, mostly in English, and all around unforgiving.

This episode covers the DACA SCOTUS decision that was released in June 2020, the process of deportations, and the ways that undocumented immigrants are targeted by fraudulent services. We will also touch on the divide on the immigration debate that exists within the immigrant and Latinx community. That’s right everyone, we all have that relative or parents that are resentful or hateful towards undocumented immigrants or current asylum seekers for one reason or another.
