Be With Me: 7 Minutes of Biblical Wonder
Be With Me is a daily 7 minute chronological walk through the New Testament hosted by Michael Smith. It is for everyone who is curious about what Jesus actually said and did in the gospels. Most episodes will leave you with at least one good thought to chew on for the rest of the day. We start with the Bible and hopefully end with Awe. We are walking through the chronological events of Jesus' life and then thoughtfully considering them. It is meant to spur the devotional life of the Christian and the not-yet-Christian. We occasionally venture into the Old Testament when it helps our understanding of the New Testament events. Everybody has 7 minutes. Everybody needs to wonder. Be With Me is hosted by Michael Smith who has absolutely no special qualifications to do a podcast. He is not a pastor. He has not been to seminary. He does not lead a mega-church. He is not a professional and he has no more credentials than you do. He does, however, follow a great God with an observant eye and a curious heart. Each day, he starts with a study bible and aims for astonishment. ‘be with him’ for 7 minutes as he sets out daily to discover the God who invites us to ‘Be With Me.’

What if I have got a lot of TROUBLE? ps 27 s30e46
As we meet this day, many of you will have some significant troubles. I am so very glad to have you explore this beautiful Psalm with me. We are not the first humans to have very serious troubles. David is the king of trouble. He is the king of calling for help.
Watch what David does as he find himself in trouble. Perhaps we can make psalm 27 a call to our real help.

What if I have got a lot of TROUBLE? ps 27 s30e46
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
Love the honesty of this Psalm
Whom shall I fear? The fact is that there are those who meet the criteria
Whom shall I be afraid?
Evildoers that assail
Those wanting to eat me u[
Adversaries and foes
An Army encamps
War arises against me
This is a day of trouble
Enemies are all around me
Father and Mother have forsaken me
There is an adverse will of those against me
False witnesses have arisen against me
They breathe out violence
If you come to Psalm 27 with some difficulty, you come in good company
If you feel at risk, or you actually are at risk, you are met by David, perhaps a king at the time of writing, perhaps not. He had a sincere, ongoing, imperfect spiritual life. A man after my own heart.
Watch him pursue the Lord in trouble here.
27 Of David.
1 The Lord is my light and my salvation;
whom shall I fear?
The Lord is the stronghold of my life;
of whom shall I be afraid?
2 When evildoers assail me
to eat up my flesh,
my adversaries and foes,
it is they who stumble and fall.
3 Though an army encamp against me,
my heart shall not fear;
though war arise against me,
yet I will be confident.
4 One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to inquire in his temple.
5 For he will hide me in his shelter
in the day of trouble;
he will conceal me under the cover of his tent;
he will lift me high upon a rock.
6 And now my head shall be lifted up
above my enemies all around me,
and I will offer in his tent
sacrifices with shouts of joy;
I will sing and make melody to the Lord.
7 Hear, O Lord, when I cry aloud;
be gracious to me and answer me!
8 You have said, “Seek my face.”
My heart says to you,
“Your face, Lord, do I seek.”
9 Hide not your face from me.
Turn not your servant away in anger,
O you who have been my help.
Cast me not off; forsake me not,
O God of my salvation!
10 For my father and my mother have forsaken me,
but the Lord will take me in.
11 Teach me your way, O Lord,
and lead me on a level path
because of my enemies.
12 Give me not up to the will of my adversaries;
for false witnesses have risen against me,
and they breathe out violence.
13 I believe that I shall look upon the goodness of the Lord
in the land of the living!
14 Wait for the Lord;
be strong, and let your heart take courage;
wait for the Lord!
Love the Intimacy of this psalm..Look on the goodness of the Lord. Wait for the Lord . Take courage.
He is the God of my salvation. He will take me in. He will teach me and lead me and not give me up. He will not hide His face from me. He will be gracious to me and answer me. He will hide me in His shelter. He will conceal me in the cover of His tent. He will lift me up upon a rock.
4 One thing have I asked of the Lord,
that will I seek after:
that I may dwell in the house of the Lord
all the days of my life,
to gaze upon the beauty of the Lord
and to inquire in his temple.
.Here we are petitioning the Lord. Can we dwell in Your house all days, but specifically for this day? May we gaze on the Your beauty?
Are we not inquiring now in His temple? Thank you for inquiring with me this morning, and perhaps the many mornings you have joined me.
