Be With Me: 7 Minutes of Biblical Wonder
Be With Me is a daily 7 minute chronological walk through the New Testament hosted by Michael Smith. It is for everyone who is curious about what Jesus actually said and did in the gospels. Most episodes will leave you with at least one good thought to chew on for the rest of the day. We start with the Bible and hopefully end with Awe. We are walking through the chronological events of Jesus' life and then thoughtfully considering them. It is meant to spur the devotional life of the Christian and the not-yet-Christian. We occasionally venture into the Old Testament when it helps our understanding of the New Testament events. Everybody has 7 minutes. Everybody needs to wonder. Be With Me is hosted by Michael Smith who has absolutely no special qualifications to do a podcast. He is not a pastor. He has not been to seminary. He does not lead a mega-church. He is not a professional and he has no more credentials than you do. He does, however, follow a great God with an observant eye and a curious heart. Each day, he starts with a study bible and aims for astonishment. ‘be with him’ for 7 minutes as he sets out daily to discover the God who invites us to ‘Be With Me.’

Excel in the Dust S30e182
I happen NOT to be sitting in the dust at this moment.
This will not always be true of me. A day of dust is coming.
When it does, turn to ps 102.
To be ready for that day, read it and be ready.
You just have to love the Psalms.
Such a real set of circumsances: all the way from joy to anguish
Remember ps 102 Definitely no rainbows:
.when His is faint
When the world is standing on your last nerve
When I got one breath left, days pass away like smoke
With a heart struck down
With circumstances so bad you forgot to eat
With affliction pressing in to the extent that LOUD groans are expressed
Sleepless, tearful, withered, taken up and thrown down
If this is you , you are in good company
The prayer is 102:14 and have pity on her dust. **************
The occurance of being in the dust is no surprise for God nor is it unexperienced by humans before you.
There is a history before you that may be of help
HELP. I turn to You Lord. HAVE PITY ON MY DUST.
My bad time can be your favored time.
Have you ever seen someone’s hardest day be their finest day?
Someone wracked with pain, or aging, or some devastation, who turns her feet toward the Lord, like here: WORSHIPS
Declare that: You will arise. You will have pity on her dust. You will favor. It is the appointed time. You appear in your glory. You regard the destitue and do not despise her prayer
If it is a day of distress for you: turn to Ps 102.
Where can I go to pour out my complaint? Can God take it? Yes. Yes. Yes.
#1Teaching point to emphasize: :If you have a complaint, POUR it out
When you are eating ashes, when your heart is struck down, when you are drinking your own tears POUR IT OUT TO THE LORD
Not pour it out on the ground. Not spill it in denial, or in futility
Pour it out before HIM—directional complaints
EXCEL in the dust
#2 THE DUST It will brings opportunity Are not the attitudes of the afflicted most contusive to Access to the Lord? and have pity on her dust. **************The DUST will require a declaration. Pour it out or bring it as a complaint, and accusation, a rebellion against His character
EXCEL in the dust
#3 Remember that the Lord hears
17 he regards the prayer of the destitute
and does not despise their prayer
EXCEL in the dust
#4 Write this down. Know that you are leaving a record of the above.
18 Let this be recorded for a generation to come,
so that a people yet to be created may praise the Lord: #4Write this down.
God has been faithful. He is of good character. He does NOT despisethe prayer of the destitute. He pities those in the dust.
I.I want ME to know it now. I want generations to know it then. Write this down for a people not yet created!
I want documentation to stand as evidence for what happened here, now, for me. Why?
So you can know it for there, for then , for you.
This is at least one reason to share a spiritual life in fellowship with the living and with a sense for those who have walked before: . Also reason to avail yourself of the experiences of those who have passedbefore. WHY? To evangelize, influence , encourage a people yet created.
That your life may echo for those not yet born.
To excel in the dust is to help those heading to the dust in their day
#5 The earth is crumbling, perishing wearing out and passing away
But you are here now and forever. You are the same.
27 but you are the same, and your years have no end.
28 The children of your servants shall dwell secure;
their offspring shall be established before you.
In the surety of you is the security of me. You are the same.
If you have a COMPLAINT for God, POUR IT OUT.
What you are doing with your complaints, did you excell in the dust. Did you act like the Lord hears in such situations.
When you are in the dust, pour it out to YOU, so you can have pity.
Pour it out directionally
Know this is an opportunity
Know He hears
Know others are watching, even those not yet born. Next generatin
If a spiritual record was left for a people not yet created, what would you want it to say?
Know He’s got this In the surety of you is the security of me.
If it is not your day of dust, find somebody that is sitting in the dust and help them.
Excel in the Dust.
