It is recommended, in living a beautiful life, to do so with a FISTFUL of MERCY.

Certainly, a fistful of mercy has already been extended to you, and an appropriate response is to live with a fistful of mercy extended toward others.  Then as you do so, even more mercy is extended to you.  That is, by giving a fistful of mercy you get a fistful of mercy

 A Fistful of Mercy. S31e44 Mt5:7

Mercy is a beautiful way to live.  How can I pull this off? How can I livemercifully?

Blessed are the merciful, for they shall receive mercy.

Justice is getting exactly what you deserve.

Mercy is getting LESS than what you deserve.

We are merciful because HE IS MERCIFUL

This ladies and gentlemen is a strange operating principle to base the foundations of a kingdom upon.

It is essential characteristic of God, and of a kingdom, otherwise the only occupants of the kingdom are the trinity, are divine.

Mercy is a glue that connects the human to the divine

Mercy is a glue that connects human to human

Mercy is winsome, attractive to God

God seeks after mercy in us; responds mercifully when He sees it Why?

Because it reminds Him of Himself.  Mercy is godly for us.

Mercy is small g godly here because it images big G Godly there

Mercy here demonstrates the mercy from there. Now and later

Mercy NOW illustrates a mercy that is to come.

This adjective is found twice in the NT

Once here: Mt5:7 Blessed are the merciful and once in Heb 2: 17 Therefore he had to be made like his brothers in every respect, so that he might become a merciful and faithful high priest in the service of God, to make propitiation for the sins of the people.

Our model, our hero is Jesus and the mercy He demonstrates is to be a model for us

Mercy is getting LESS that what you deserve.

Does that mean that mercy forgets justice?

No, I think the best mercy REMEMBERS justice

Does Mercy flaunt the fact that Justice is NOT being meted out?

Does Mercy rub the face of Justice in it?

Appropriate posture for mercy isn’t that la-de-da I didn’t get justice

Rather: I deserved justice, I deserved getting exactly what I deserved, yet I did not.

Rather than a fistful of justice, I received a fistful of mercy

The best fistful of MERCY remembers a fistful of JUSTICE

Note: this is sort of a commandment: Not, YOU MUST BE MERCIFUL. Forced mercy is no mercy at all. It is compulsion.

Encouraged mercy, pointed in the right dirction mercy? This is the speed of the beatitude.

Living beautifulyy, is living mercifully.

Today, is a call towards beautiful living.

First being merciful—to who? Everybody who needs it.

Second being on the receiving end of mercy

Living mercifully is consequentially to be receiving mercy.

The consequence of mercy is more mercy—replicative

Mercy reproduces. Mercy rebouds.

Sowing mercy reaps mercy

How can I live mercifully?

Identify people and situations where JUSTICE is due.

         What circumstance screams for JUSTICE?

Think about places/people where JUSTICE IS DUE, NOT mercy

Who are you mad at with good reason? Who do you wanna strangle? Who is standing on your last nerve? Who, in your thinking,  deserves the wrath of your justice? Identify person and the circumstance specifically,

Who do deserves in you life, a FISTFUL of JUSTICE?*****

Then, deliver mercy: a fistful of mercery: thinking mercifully, extendingmercy in actionable way: speaking mercy, doing mercy.

Let mercy power your soul and mind and hands and wallet.

How can I best act with mercy? How can I do mercy best?

Get this empowering right.

Get the source, the motivation right.

I can deliver mercy BEST, when I am aware of the mercy I have been extended.

Know this: you have not received what you deserved:contemporaneous, immediate, definitive, eternal, JUSTICE

Oh if we only knew the abhorrence of sin before the Holy God

Did you get wrath? No. probably not. Light bulb:

Let my awareness grow in the mercy extended to me.

Somehow I have been shown mercy.

The fact that I can even sit here to consider GIVING a fistful of mercymeans that I have already been given a FISTFUL of Mercy.

Here is what the Beatitude says:

Blessed are those who give a fistful of mercy

And secondly, those who give a fistful of mercy shall receive a fistful of mercy.

What it doesn’t explicitly say, but I think it implies is that those

Who DELIVER mercy have already had mercy delivered to them

Those who deliver mercy best, are aware of the mercy delivered to them.

You have been given a fistful of mercy

Therefore, give a fistful of mercy and even more wonderfully,

You shall be given a fistful of mercy. ANOTHER fistful of mercy
