Do you really wanna “see God?” S31e49 Matt5:8

The pure in heart get to see God. In the end, literally, to see God. That's right: face to face. When the people of God change their zip code to the same one as God, the scenery is going to change a bit. 

There's some stuff that won't be seen any more: death, pain, and mourning. But there are some new sights in the real estate and relational categories.

Blessed are the PURE in Heart, for they shall see God  Mt.5:8

What will the followers of God SEE and NOT SEE in the end?

What will the followers of God SEE in the end?

Rev22 Then the angel showed me the river of the water of life, bright as crystal, flowing from the throne of God and of the Lamb 2 through the middle of the street of the city; also, on either side of the river, the tree of life with its twelve kinds of fruit, yielding its fruit each month. The leaves of the tree were for the healing of the nations. 3 No longer will there be anything accursed, but the throne of God and of the Lamb will be in it, and his servants will worship him. 4 They will see his face, and his name will be on their foreheads. 5 And night will be no more. They will need no light of lamp or sun, for the Lord God will be their light, and they will reign forever and ever.

River of life, throne of God and the lamb, streets and city. Tree of life, healing nations, NOTHING accursed

Servants worshiping Him

No more night

1 Cor 13: 12 For now we see in a mirror dimly, but then face to face THEY WILL SEE HIS FACE

What will the followers of God NOT SEE in the end?

21 Then I saw a new heaven and a new earth, for the first heaven and the first earth had passed away, and the sea was no more. 2 And I saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down out of heaven from God, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband. 3 And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He willdwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God. 4 He will wipe away every tear from their eyes, and death shall be no more, neither shall there be mourning, nor crying, nor pain anymore, for the former things have passed away.”

Old earth. Old heaven Old sea

Old way of relationship, specifically old proximity and intimacy of relationship

         Now like a bride and groom

         God HIMSELF with be with them as their God

No more tears No more death No more mourning, no more crying or pain

In heaven, believers will see God, see His face and dwell closely with Him. Last time this happened was when Jesus was here, and the time before that when Adam and Eve had the same zip code as God when they were in the 

Blessed are the PURE in Heart, for they shall see God  Mt.5:8

Figuratively, If you live well, you will see the natural consequences of walking in a faithful relationship with God

         Wise living generally results in a blessed life

         Sowing good crops generally results in reaping good crops

However, this promise is one of the great promises of God

         His people are coming home to be with Him, to dwell with Him

This podcasts name refers to this future reality: like the pure in heart, you are ACTUALLY going to be seeing the face of God.

You are going to be living in the same zip code

He’ss prepared a place and a city for you:

Hebrews 11:16 reminds us:

16  God is not ashamed to be called their God, for he has prepared for them a city.

2 Cor 5: we have a building from God, a house not made with hands, eternal in the heavens. 

1 Corinthians 2:9 

9 But, as it is written, 

       “What no eye has seen, nor ear heard, 

nor the heart of man imagined,

       what God has prepared for those who love him”— 

Do you love the Lord?   Say Yes. Yes. Yes, 

What I love about this podcast is that it is for some the answer is YES. Buthonestly there are some who the answer is NO.

Let me tell you this if you don’t: HE LOVES YOU. He wants you to be a part of His family. Wants you to be drawn to His kingdom, His house, His heaven, His place and especially His PERSON

God Himself will be with you as your God

You will see God, face to face

You can be in ongoing, favorable relationship.

If this is terrifying to you, good. 

Perhaps you should be terrified.  Maybe all your unrighteousness is being carried only by you.  I agree with you.  That is a terrifying prospect.  

         Maybe you have sinned against God. All sins are against God

         Maybe you have sinned against other humans

One of the most popular of all time was about the value of Gold $5000/oz but a relationship with God is more valuable. 

So what is offered by the good work of God is repair of relationship: especially the primary breach of you to God.
