Be With Me: 7 Minutes of Biblical Wonder

I’m With Fumanchu The Bull Lk1:69 s4e16

Michael Smith Season 4 Episode 16

Sometimes you need the strength of a bull
Sometimes you need to knock a few things down.
Sometimes you need to defend with power.
Sometimes you need to destroy with violence
Sometimes you need to celebrate that you are on the BULL'S Team

Lord you are the HORN OF MY SALVATION.

We will celebrate the BULLS, not the riders of the PBR: Professional Bull Riders.  In fact I couldn't even think of a single human rider.  I could however, think of a bull!  Fu Man Chu, who is celebrated in a Tim McGraw song, Live Like You Are Dying.  The rider lasts 2.7 seconds.  Why? Because of the bulls POWER, and STRENGTH.

It is not every day that we celebrate the Lord strongly for His ability to knock stuff down.  But today is that day!  We are on the strong side and boy do we need it!  "I'm with Fu Man Chu".  We are on His team.  He has raised up a HORN OF SALVATION!  Listen for 7 minutes and like and post and share and engage.  You can help somebody who needs His STRENGTH.

Michael Smith:

Good morning, my brothers and sisters, welcome to Episode 16. To be with me, we're going to talk about something absolutely crazy today, I got a big kick out of it, I hope you do. There may be some delay in these podcasts dropping, or I might miss a day or two because I'm going to be traveling but for heaven's sakes, listen. And here's what we're gonna listen to Today we are going to listen to Zechariah, who has been mute for deaf and mute apparently, for at least nine months and eight days, it could have been longer. So he's had a long time to think and reconsider living inside the confines of between his ears. And we're going to see what comes out. So when his tongue was loose, verse 64, of Luke chapter one says that immediately his mouth was open in his tongue was loose, any spoke, comma, blessing God. And this is called the Benedict Deuce, which is the first word of it in Latin. And this is Zacharias speaking. And he is going to say something crazy to the American and current world English here. I happen to be an American. That makes no sense to us. And so we're going to explore today and it is going to be fun. All right, so Zechariah and his father Zechariah, was filled with the Holy Spirit. So that's just wonderful. So Elizabeth is full of the Holy Spirit, john is full of the Holy Spirit in the womb, Mary is full of the Holy Spirit. Now Zechariah is filled with the Holy Spirit. And then he says, blessings Benedictus be the Lord God of Israel, for he has visited and redeemed his people. And he has raised up a horn of salvation for us. Now, what in the world does that mean? That means nothing to us today, but means a lot to the the audience. So let's we're gonna explore that today. The first thing I want to say is about his visitation. Are you weary today? Have you had bad news from the doctor? Are you in pain? Do you have difficulties in in your church? Well, the good news is that he has visited, he has come down. And not only that he didn't just stop, then he did something he accomplished. But the first thing he had to do was show up. So today, if you're guilty of sin, or maybe you're facing death, he has visited, he has come down. So that's good news. I don't even want to talk about that today. I want to get to verse 69, of Luke chapter one, he has raised up a horn of salvation for us. So what this means that that there is in the Lord, there is an exceptional kind of might and power. And it's the power to conquer the power to kill the power to defend. And I was thinking about big animals with big horns and of course, I thought of the professional bull riders Association. And I was thinking I wonder if I can think of a part of a bull writers name. Do I know any bull riders name any humans that are bold writers? The answer No. Do any? No. Do I know any bowls? From the professional bull riders Association? The answer is yes. Food man shoots easy celebrated in a Tim McGraw song where he wants to live like you were dying and he rides this bowl for 2.7 seconds. But this bowl basically is celebrated in even in song. And now if you are a fan of this, this sport, the bowls are more of celebrities than the people are. So they're known for their power and their strength and their athleticism. They carry reputations with them. They're basically the athletes, the best athletes in the in the ring. These are powerful animals. And the image is the Lord having the strength to lower his horns and drive out and defend and deliver people. So this started, this has been an Old Testament image. It's a dozen times in the Old Testament. First one is from First Samuel chapter two verse six, this is Hannah speaking actually. The adversaries of the Lord shall be broken to pieces against them, he will thunder in heaven. The Lord will judge the ends of the earth He will give strength to his anointed and exalt the power of his anointed. This is the the adversaries of the Lord, the strength of the Lord. Let me go to song. This is David now. 18 I love you, lord, oh my lord, my strength. The Lord is my rock and my fortress in my deliver my God, my rock in whom I take refuge, my shield and the horn of my salvation, my stronghold so Jesus is great, he's gentle, he's lowly. He's meek. He's the shepherd, but not today. Today he is powerful. There are some stuff that is going to need protection from their adversaries that are going to need to be broken to pieces. Let's think of a couple. How about sin? How about death? How about the penalty for those things? How about Satan or adversary? How about the power of your tongue? So heaven needs to Thunder against a few thing and destroy a few things, and protect against a few things. So there are times we are going to need a stronghold when we need a refuge. When we need a savior from stuff that we're going to need some strength and power and maybe even violence to deliver us out of this. Are you tempted today? Is your tongue going crazy? Are you facing decay, decay or a bad disease? Or maybe if you're not saved, we're gonna have to knock a few things down and get a few things out of the way. As the Lord demonstrates his strength in his power, how he's thinking the image of like going into a bar and my date is foo Manchu, this great bowl with these beautiful horns, so food men, tunas, she was my date. And you walk into the bar or whatever. And everybody just scatters because the guy you're with is so strong. So Victoria so power, no one even mess with him. And so today's the day where we honor the Lord for this, we raise up the horn we say, yeah, I'm with you. I'm with the Lord. I depend on this. I revel in this and I celebrate it. So today, not only does he visit us, but he visits us with the Horn of salvation, the Horn of fool man chew this powerful bowl that we are going to need. We need him to defend us and to knock a few things down. The Lord is so powerful. So today join me in saying almost hermetically, but how often is this? I'm with food man shoe the ball. He has raised up here it is. Here's what Zechariah says he has raised up a horn of salvation for us. He has protected us he has gotten some things out of the way. He has violently destroyed things that need violent destroying. I'm with Fu Manchu, thanks for listening.
