Exploring our Mental Health: Anxiety & Bipolar Disorder with George Hofmann
Dec 08, 2020 Season 1 Episode 8

I'm so excited to share this episode with George Hofmann. We talk more about George's book, Resilience: Handling Anxiety in a Time of Crisis, his personal story and the tools that have helped him manage his bipolar over the year. We explore the possible relationship between depression, anxiety and being a Highly Sensitive Person, along with the stigma often associated with mental illness. Finally, we touch upon the benefits, but also the difficulties that often come with mindfulness and meditation practises.

More about George...

George Hofmann has managed to overcome the worst of bipolar disorder by adding practices in focused attention to the usual therapies of medicine and talk.  He works to show others with anxiety, depression and bipolar disorder how to do the same.

George has conducted workshops on meditation, movement and meaningful work for individuals, families, support groups, churches, healthcare professionals and corporations.  He is the author of the book Resilience: Handling Anxiety in a Time of Crisis. He lives in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with his wife, their daughter and two poorly behaved dogs.

George is available for articles, interviews, speeches, or to conduct workshops for groups or coaching for individuals.
