[00:36] And continuing the series on time, energy and attention for greater profit, impact and Expertise or Tea and Pi. If you haven't listened to the previous episodes on Impact so far we've covered mission, vision and purpose, how you can be clear on where you're going, what purpose you have and what is your key mission. Then we went through the different levels of impact, how you can support other people on different levels both in your private life and in your business and on the business life, having different entry levels from free resources to your exclusive offer. And this means you can impact a broad range of people and to continue to contribute and impact on a broad range. You can look at the Ripple Effect, which was the last episode where we went through how your actions, your way of showing up, your daily inspiration and what you share with people has a ripple effect around you. So these were the three episodes so far on how you can have greater impact in your business. And today we are discussing community. How can you build a community to impact the world, to change people's lives, depending of course on the type of business you run. In any case, it's always possible to build a community. You can even build a community in your free time around topics that you are interested in. Several key points here around community that are essential and that really make a big difference. The first one is that there's something a bit magical once there's a community. And I think this is because we are wired in a way that it suits us to be part of a tribe and several things will happen once you are part of a tribe or a group or community that is adapted to you. One of them is you will start to think in a similar way and take actions in a similar way. For instance, if you are part of a running club and they get up twice a week at 07:00 A.m. And go for a run, you are far more likely to get up at 07:00 A.m. And join the group for run. This is because A, you might get to know and like the people in the group and want to see them. So it serves as extra motivation, but also biologically. As I mentioned, we are wired to want to fit in and we don't want to stand out. This is part of the reason why we have fear of rejection or fear of failure. All of these things are linked to the fact that we want to fit in in the community. And if you think of it biologically, in the times where we're all living in caves, we probably were in tied, enclosed community. We lived in communities and therefore it was most likely essential for our survival to be liked by the people around us, to be accepted by them. Because if you weren't, probably you get kicked out and your chances of survival were slim. So it is really something that's deep rooted in us. So this is the first aspect that when you're part of a community, you are more likely to think like them, to act like them, and it serves as extra motivation. Another aspect is that if you create your own community, then this will generate a lot of inspiration and is more likely to pull you up somehow. It will change your mindset. This comes back to the way of thinking. This is a concept that Napoleon Hill talks about in his book Think and Grow Rich. He actually explains at one point that he would visualize before sleeping a whole table filled with some of the best thought leaders and people that were highly inspiring or top business owners of his time, not even of his time. I think he thought about people who were already long gone and imagined this whole table and thought what would they say to this problem and how would they discuss it? So he created this sort of invisible community in some ways that he would just imagine before sleeping and just that just thinking how would such and such react or what know Napoleon say and how would Tolstar react? I don't think Tolstoy was in there, but you get the idea. This helped him to think on a different level and to upgrade his mindset. And those weren't even real people. I mean, they were real people, but he was imagining them before sleeping. Now imagine what happens if you create your own community. And let's say you've had your own business for two years and in your community you're surrounded by people who have five or ten years business experience. How will this shift? The way you think, the way you act in your business, the sort of actions you take? Ideally, you want to be part of several communities and here's why. One of them is the one dedicated for your growth. This is why I was saying it upgrades your mindset. I was part of Thought Leadership Academy with Diane Seb. If they're listening. And this really helped me to think on the different levels, to take action that I would maybe not have done before and really to upgrade my mindset. There's no other way of formulating this. And this is one type of community where you're learning and growing, and then you want to have another type of community where you're leading your team to grow and learn. So that's where you're impacting. Looking at these two communities, you basically have one that's helping you to grow your mindset, to think differently, to support you to go to the next level. And then you have another community where you're contributing and you're supporting all of that community to grow and expand and think differently. And the reason why it's useful to have the two sort of separately is because one of them can be part of your business and your way of getting clients and your way of contributing and impacting because this whole season, this particularly part of the season, is on impact. So that community is the way you are impacting others. And then you also have the one where you're growing and learning and training. And those would be the two fundamental communities. They can't really be the same one because you can't train in a community and group when you're the one that's learning and training, upgrading. That being said, your own community where you're the main leader and you're inspiring others and you're providing content and value, that doesn't mean you won't learn anything. We always learn from others. You might see them dealing with similar issues that you've had in the past or you're currently having. It might help you to think differently. So you definitely will learn from your own community. But if you want something that really takes your mindset and your way of thinking and upgrades your business and everything to the next level, then you need to be part of another type of community. And once you have these two communities in place, something quite magical will happen, which is that there will be a synchronicity somehow between the learnings that you're having on one level and the ones that the people that you're leading and supporting is having. And you'll start to see how it all merges and everyone grows and transforms. Basically as you're transforming the people you're leading transform and the people in the two communities you're part of. And all of these things will grow. And if you're thinking about having these two types of communities, you can also look at different options, such as offline groups. There might be a certain meetup you want to go to on a regular basis, or there might be some type of offline networking event that you can go to. And there can be online communities. And again, they are online networking communities. There are a lot of different groups that you can join. Most coaches also have a form of group coaching. I have one if you're interested, you can write to me and we can see if you can join the community. And most coaches again have either a free online community and then they have a group coaching one. So those are different ways to get in depending on what you're working on. Because most of these communities and groups are focused on different aspects and different things might be business growth, might be the way you manage your time might be, et cetera. So you need to think what type of community you want to be part of. And last but not least, you can also join a free sort of solidarity project and there's a lot of different ways where you can be part of a nonprofit organization. For instance, the TEDx is a nonprofit organization. So if you want to be part of a community of people growing and learning, you could join your TEDx team and maybe be one of the managers there or organizers or content creator and you will definitely learn a lot from that. So there's a lot of different ways in which you can join a community. The main thing is to be aware that this will shift the actions you take and the way of thinking, yes. And an other example of a community is for instance, a running club. All of these things are communities and group and they will have a huge transformational effect both on your life and then on the people that you're leading and supporting when you create your own community, which I highly invite you to. So this is it for today on Community, the fourth episode of Impact and it is a very powerful transformational tool, I want to say, but tool is the wrong word way in which you can impact others and also grow yourself.
