Brandon and I in the den reviewing some whiskey.  We may or may not go off the rails a couple times on random topics.  But we review Old Gran Dad 7 BIB and Saz 125 in the process.

Check us out on Facebook, Instagram, X, and TikTok

SPEAKER_01

Welcome to the Bourbon Boys. We're back. And I'm here with my co-host Brandon again. What's going on, Bourbon Boys with the Z. In the mythical Bourbon Boys Den. We're back in the den. We have a little bit of an issue with uh water in the walls.

SPEAKER_00

We're all clear though. We're all dried out. We're we are operating, functional.

SPEAKER_01

I'm hoping uh I I got the gutters cleaned out. That was one of the things they said.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

When you start getting water in your basement, you check your grading, get your gutters cleaned out. Get the water away from the house.

SPEAKER_00

Get the water away from the house.

SPEAKER_01

Got the gutters cleaned out, and the guy messaged me pictures of them, and he's like, You had an incredible amount of rocks and toys in your gutters. I was like, Yep, that stands a reason since the neighbors and my children throw rocks and toys on my roof.

SPEAKER_00

We're gonna have to cut that, cut down on that.

SPEAKER_01

I told I told the boys if they throw another rock or toy on my roof, they were paying $120 to get the gutters cleaned next time.

SPEAKER_00

So you're going financial.

SPEAKER_01

If they allow their friends to do it, then their friends aren't gonna be allowed in the backyard.

SPEAKER_00

Well, the fan do the the friends don't have to pay. Oh, no, the friends, they we we can't make them pay. But do the boys have do the boys have to pay on behalf of their son?

SPEAKER_01

Yes, they gotta pay on behalf of their friends.

SPEAKER_00

Gotcha.

SPEAKER_01

Or they're gonna have to work a lot.

SPEAKER_00

They're gonna pick a lot of dog shit up. Choose your friends wisely.

SPEAKER_01

Yes. Choose your friends wisely.

SPEAKER_00

Happens to the best of us. It happens. Yes.

SPEAKER_01

I guess all seven-year-olds are somewhat knuckleheads. Correct.

SPEAKER_00

Correct.

SPEAKER_01

Alright, so what do we what are we drinking?

SPEAKER_00

I'm excited because uh new to the market, that old granddad uh seven-year bonded. I don't think it's even available in Wisconsin. I haven't seen it yet here uh on the shelf. We do we have had the bonded, but not the seven-year.

SPEAKER_01

I may have poured a little too heavy.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that is a big boy pour right there. I like where your head's at. Uh I did uh tell Chad that I one of my favorite uh old granddad stats is that it is the official bourbon of my favorite Christmas movie, uh Bad Santa. He drinks it throughout the movie, obviously not a seven-year uh bonded product, um, that kind of thing. But just a low shelf. So I always, whenever I see the orange label, I think of my grandfather and um Billy Bob Thornton.

SPEAKER_01

And Billy Bob, man, that guy's found him a fountain of youth. Uh amazing. This movie, this show. It's a great show, but goodness gracious, he was obscure. He just keeps going. And he looks like he looks like somebody named Billy Bob. 100%. Especially in that show, always wearing dirty jeans. He definitely smoked Smarbros. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. And drinks Old Grandad.

SPEAKER_01

Drinks Old Grandad. Yes. Smokes Cowboy Killers. Correct. Yep. And is on a uh oil field. Correct.

SPEAKER_00

I gotta fly in here before I let the back door open to the dog. I mean, he was married to Angelina Jolie at one point. Like, I mean, he the man has had a great run. Had a vial of her blood around his neck or was her his blood around her neck?

SPEAKER_01

It was one or the other.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, something. I think somebody gave some blood on her neck. Yeah. His blood was probably easier to get. Because she doesn't have blood? I don't know. I'm just saying, he he seems to be like, yeah, I'll give you some blood. Like she's like, no, absolutely not. Yeah, correct. Absolutely not. You're not touching me with a needle and having my blood. Oh, where he's like, here, just get it off the coffee table.

SPEAKER_01

I'm glad you added the having my blood thing because I was about to feel a lot of different ways. Correct. We already went that way once.

SPEAKER_00

Correct.

SPEAKER_01

Angelina Jolie. Uh-oh. Now, still very hot.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

But back in the day, fire, smoke show.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Going in 60 seconds. Crazy. Yeah, she had a great run. She had a great run.

SPEAKER_01

She was so hot. You could tell she was just, that was like the chick that was a bad thing. Yeah, she doesn't take anything. Yeah, she don't take no. She was a bad influence on you. She was what gets you in trouble. Like stealing cars and stuff. Like she would get you to steal cars. Yeah. I would steal a car for Angelina Jolie and go in 60 seconds. You would take 60 seconds. Not now I wouldn't steal a car for it. I steal a pack of gum or something. Okay. I mean, I'd put it out there.

SPEAKER_00

Car's a little much, so that's grand theft. Well, what kind of car? That's the question. Like, do you take ripping a minivan or like if she wants a high end and then you're out.

SPEAKER_01

But like she's like, can you get me a Toyota minivan? I'd be like, I know where there is one. Correct. Exactly. That's not grand theft at that point. That's just theft. Okay. I don't think. I don't know. I think it's like $3,000 for Toyota Sienna. Yeah, so we should be 20 2012, I think. Giving them away. Yeah. Giving them away. Yeah, they should. So we're doing what is the proof on this one? What is the do we know what the mash bill is? Do we know the mash bill?

SPEAKER_00

It's a beam. So bottle and bonds, and we got um just a hundred proof. Just a hundred proof. So it's coming down um distilled spring 2018 bottled 2025. Spring 25. Uh I don't really see anything on the air about mash bill. But uh the caramel comes, like it's to me, it's like classic bourbon. Right? Like it's it's not gonna wow you. I know you said you were drinking it as a mixer, and like that's a good probably good spot for it. I think retail is what, around 40? A little more. I think it was 35. 35, a little less, even. But you grabbed yours in Kentucky, right? Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I've taken them in Illinois and around 40, 45, so that's about I mean this was at Liquor Barn, so they sell everything for as well as they can, pretty much.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, just get it out of the barn, right? Just keep it moving. Just straight out of the barn. Just keep it moving.

SPEAKER_01

I had tons of buzzball displays in that store.

SPEAKER_00

Business is booming.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they're they're doing well. They're that close to Frankfurt though. They gotta keep Sazrak and Trace happy.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but I could I could see that. So what are your notes? Man, I to me it's like that over caramel and then almost like a slight vanilla on the back end.

SPEAKER_01

There's no alcohol on the nose. Correct. Like it's zero alcohol. There's no, it might not, it might be because it's been open so long. Sure. I don't know.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, obviously, it is a lowerproof, too.

SPEAKER_01

If it's sitting in my garage, it is lowerproof.

SPEAKER_00

They're really selling it here. Let's pull it out. Is this the grill mixer? Yeah, is this a grill mixer? Like when I make I'm grilling up some brats, this is what I pull out, which would not be a bad time for it. You know, low proof. It's on the sweeter side. Summer's coming up. This is something I drink on the back patio, no problem. I wish Mother Nature would make her damn mind up over here. Welcome to Milwaukee.

SPEAKER_01

It was like 85 degrees. Shorts Thursday.

SPEAKER_00

Little t-shirt outside.

SPEAKER_01

Fry a little t-shirt. Yeah, I had my midi on. Yeah. And my midruff. Nice. I was just showing off the belly buttons. Yeah. I took my piercing out though. It was getting too tight. Well, you gotta clean it once in a while. Yeah, you gotta clean that lint out. Yeah. Um, to me, it's like you said, it's got a real nice flavor. And it's got decent legs for 100 proof. Seven-year-old bond old bond.

SPEAKER_00

For them 40 bucks, like that's you know. And I I I do like beam in general.

SPEAKER_01

Like um, I'm trying to start a new thing for the for the reviews. Yeah. We gotta figure out a different way to say b bottle, bar, or bust, or pass.

SPEAKER_00

So buy?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, buy, bottle, bust, whatever. The most of the podcasts use the same nomenclature. Okay. I was thinking smash or pass. Or eh.

unknown

No?

SPEAKER_00

You don't like that? Eh. What is your eh? Is that it's like okay. That's bar. Okay, what is like Smash is by and pass. You don't want anything to do with it? Nothing. What is like between eh and pass? There isn't.

SPEAKER_01

There's only three. Okay. You're breaking it down into like.

SPEAKER_00

Yes, correct.

SPEAKER_01

There's you can't do four.

SPEAKER_00

Russian judge. Russian judge. All right.

SPEAKER_01

No, there ain't no eight-minute abs. Uh seven minute abs.

SPEAKER_00

What do we do with the extra minute? Uh this is a this is a smash for me. Smash. Smash all day. Uh when you take everything into account, price point, availability. Uh this is a buy for me.

SPEAKER_01

Do you like that name though? Do you like Smash Pass or eh? Or do you think something else?

SPEAKER_00

I think I've used those terms uh elsewhere, but not for bourbons. So like I can it go right to it, I guess. You know?

SPEAKER_01

All right, we can get it's a work in progress. Right. We'll use it for this and maybe come up with some better.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, no, no. I just have to remind myself the room that I'm in and what we're discussing at the time. And then so, yes, this would be a smash for me.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Call it Nikes or Keds. Nike's kids or Reeboks.

SPEAKER_00

But when I right? Like I that I could do all day. Right? Well, if if your mom gave you a Christmas gift of kids, you would be not happy.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you were throwing those out the window.

SPEAKER_00

Right, I'm not happy.

SPEAKER_01

Or what was the one with the kangaroos on them? Kangaroos. Ruse.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, ruse. This ruse, yeah. Uh it's Walter Payton's shoe. What was it? Walter Payton, running back for the Bears.

SPEAKER_01

I used to sell a lot of Sauconese when I worked for uh Saucane's.

SPEAKER_00

They're coming back.

SPEAKER_01

Finish line.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, they're coming back. Uh Leisha and I were just in Michigan and she grabbed a pair from uh sneaker store called uh uh Premiere. They did a collaboration with Saucony.

SPEAKER_01

Nice. I wish I had my uh Chutney Jordan. Yes, 13, the low.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, with the little with like the like the plastic jump man, and he was like enameled. Like that was.

SPEAKER_01

People were fighting each other to get him finished line.

SPEAKER_00

Just the black and chutney. Yeah, real simple.

SPEAKER_01

I think I traded in a pair of uh Air Forces for him. Mmm. Something. I traded in something. He used to trade shoes back in and get new ones all the time. Upper management job, yeah. I found them. You can't do those things. You remember when uh Patrick Ewing had the shoe with the gel in the heels?

SPEAKER_00

Yes. Yep.

SPEAKER_01

I found those and they were my size, and they were in the clearance section. They weren't on the shelf nowhere. They were like $13 by the time I got them.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because they'd been there so long. And they're gone now, though. Oh yeah, those didn't last long. I played ball in those and jacked them up quick. Did you play like Pat Ewing when you wore them? Uh that was not my game.

SPEAKER_00

No. I was more of a uh You couldn't play like you were seven foot one.

SPEAKER_01

Pick and pass guy.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. He was not a pick and pop guy. No. No, he's uh he's back to the basket.

SPEAKER_01

There was no pop for me back then. It was just pass.

SPEAKER_00

Like what's your range? Like 12 feet and then, 10 feet and then?

SPEAKER_01

When I was younger, that's what it was. I was shooting inside the big man.

SPEAKER_00

Both hands? Left hand, right hand?

SPEAKER_01

Uh no, right hand.

SPEAKER_00

Just right hand baby hooks? Yes. Baby hooks?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, okay. Yep. Then I got older and I started shooting from outside and I was a dead eye. How good was your shot fake, though? It was pretty good.

SPEAKER_00

Your shot fake was really good.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

You could probably really pivot too. Yep. Yep. Because you got to find ways to get to get it done. Yep. That old man basketball. There's no judgment. That's just like a You had to figure it out. I was not fast. A lot of guys in the league right now make a lot of money on their ability to pivot. Yep. Just be able to create space. I was never known for my quickness.

SPEAKER_01

Did have good feet though.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. No football, though. Yeah, I'll say no football. Yeah, you should have. Feet and hands. Yeah, like good feet, good hands, over six foot. Anything near three, play a little football.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. I had some small college offers. Yeah. Yeah. Very small college. The Cumberlands. That's okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

I was like, no, I don't think I'm gonna beat my body up anymore. Right. I think that that's really what it comes down to. Is how much do I want to keep inflicting onto my body?

SPEAKER_01

How much is this college worth? So instead I went to junior college for about 10 years and then went to the house. Did you play any hoops? Any junior college hoops and then no. I didn't have that kind of uh athleticism to play junior college hoops.

SPEAKER_00

Well, depending on where you are in the country, that may like you could be either really good or not real good. Our community college didn't have a hoops team. Got it. In Wisconsin they had a junior college league and then a couple of the schools have done away with it. So we'll see what happens. It wasn't worth their wasn't worth their money. Well, you know, uh some of those junior colleges like three, four hours away. Like, you know, so to play those games and all of a sudden they were playing on Saturdays and like four or five junior colleges would meet to play their games. This became too much. But uh interesting pickup. What's that?

SPEAKER_01

I was more of a pickup player.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I'm still five. When's the last time you played? Uh did I not tell you this before? I played, I tried to play again like a year ago.

SPEAKER_00

A year ago, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Maybe less than that. Maybe it was eight months ago. Okay. I played four or five times. I couldn't hit the broadside of a barn. It's it's gonna get back into it. And my uh reaction time was terrible. So I was sober slow, I was and my knees hurt. So I was like, yeah, I think I'm good.

SPEAKER_00

I think you're done.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I mean, who knows if I lose another 60 pounds.

SPEAKER_00

I was gonna say you're down some weight, so like it might make a difference.

SPEAKER_01

That's when I started doing it. Yep. So I mean, it I could do it, I just couldn't do it and feel good about what I was doing.

SPEAKER_00

So I think you're just transitioning to the next phase in your career when you get to that point where you're just saying, I'm out here for the cardio. You don't have to pass me the ball, I'll set you some screens. That's 100% what I was doing. Correct. I did not shoot, I play defense. The key is you got to find nine other guys that are on the same thing. Right? Because the problem is you get eight guys that want to do that, and then you get two guys playing like the NBA finals, right? And somebody gets hurt, right? Because I'm not diving on the floor, I'm not no, not doing it. Not today.

SPEAKER_01

Well, the the team the place I was playing, the the guy who emails the invite out calls it old man basketball. Perfect. Um, so there was a lot of old older gentlemen that were there. They weren't they weren't playing at the top level. Perfect. So it was a good place to play if my knees just get up and down a little bit. If my knees could remember that they're just mix it up a little bit.

SPEAKER_00

Just mix it up a little bit.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. So it's like I'll stick to the cardio machine at the gym.

SPEAKER_00

You can't get a bucket out of that thing, though. You can't get an assist.

SPEAKER_01

Like that's why I quit playing football, is because I couldn't. I mean, I never get to touch the ball. Why am I playing this? I'm blocking for these people. They're getting all the glory.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, beat the hell up. I mean, I played with some great offensive linemen and know some great offensive linemen. They're usually great dudes. Yeah. They're usually great dudes, right? Well, they gotta be super smart. You gotta be smart and you gotta you gotta care about other people because you don't pick that job. No. Right? That's not the glamorous running back, quarterback. Correct. So I've always had a respect for those guys because you gotta you gotta swallow your pride a little bit. Uh you don't see a lot of people rocking offensive linemen jerseys. No. Once in a while, but not often. Chubby Chasers. Correct.

SPEAKER_01

See, that speaking of offensive linemen, the Packers uh drafted a offensive lineman from Kentucky.

SPEAKER_00

Oh no. No, I'm kidding. What uh what give me some give me some intel? Like we're a big Packer fan, so what do you got for me? Uh what is he inside guy?

SPEAKER_01

Outside guy? Is he he played center hard? He played center as last year.

SPEAKER_00

Gotcha.

SPEAKER_01

Uh because he had to.

SPEAKER_00

He's probably not huge.

SPEAKER_01

He's 6'5, 6'4, 6'3, somewhere in that range. Okay. He's a big dude, but he played guard, so he's he's not tackle hot size.

SPEAKER_00

Gotcha.

SPEAKER_01

But he, I mean, that's why he got drafted though, because he has versatility.

SPEAKER_00

He can play center. Yeah, yeah. If you can play center and and then ship the guard, like it's real hard to go from guard to center, but center to guard you can usually pull off. I played guard a lot. Okay. In the right in the mix of it. Yeah. Throwing punches. Yes. And you got all your teeth, so you must have been pretty good. That's what they make masks for. They didn't want me on the bottom of a whole lot of piles. You played in Kentucky. I don't, I don't know, man. I don't. We did play Kentucky. We've heard a lot of things. About maskless footballs. A little shot of bourbon. Alright, kids, here we go. Just rub it on your gums before you go out.

SPEAKER_01

Numbs you a little bit.

SPEAKER_00

You want to win or not? Alright, so what are we getting into here next?

SPEAKER_01

So this one is we're we're taking it up a notch. We're moving over to the new Sazrak Rye 125 proof.

SPEAKER_00

Which is all the buzz right now.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

All the cool kids. And if I watch one more uh video comparing uh Sazerac Foolproof to Thomas Handy, like I get it. It's a rye, it's Sazerac. Like, yep, get it. It's cast strength. Right, it's cash strength. Well, yeah, yada. But all that. But we get so I think people get caught up in all of that and like comparing things and rankings and numbering. Like to me, it's like just drink it, enjoy it. Like if you like Sazerac, you're gonna like this. If you like a little more pepper on it, you're gonna like it. I think Sazerak, regular Sazerac, rye 90 proof.

SPEAKER_01

Is that 90 proof?

SPEAKER_00

Uh there's a 90 and a hundred. They do both.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I knew the 100 was new, but their original was 90 proof.

SPEAKER_00

90.

SPEAKER_01

To me, that's always been very eh.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, right. Like, but I'm I want it in a cocktail.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it's fine in a cocktail, right? You're not drinking it. There's no flavor to it. Correct. It's often tastes pretty young, especially for a rye whiskey.

SPEAKER_00

Because most uh most as what six years?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Around six years. Yeah, the branch is around six.

SPEAKER_00

So I I think like it's smarter than them. Like it takes a little little effort to put this out from them. They're already barreling barreling it already, so might as well just turn it up because we already, as we've talked about numerous times, there's some people that are so proof-driven that like now that it's a 125, is it cooler to the to the masses? Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

It's definitely cooler to the masses, right?

SPEAKER_00

But all the social media stuff I see is like it's a handy killer and all that. I don't know about all that because I actually do enjoy Thomas Handy. It's not my favorite and all that, but like it's it's good.

SPEAKER_01

I think Thomas Handy's a little sweeter than this.

SPEAKER_00

I see that I think that's I think you're accurate. I think that it is a little more caramel with the rye as opposed to the Sazerac, which I get more rye straightforward.

SPEAKER_01

Definitely spicier.

SPEAKER_00

Correct. I get a little more pepper on it, which I do like, and I think blindly, I think I would honestly pick the Sazerac foolproof because of that peppiness to it.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. It makes sense.

SPEAKER_00

What do you think? The rye is nice on it, you know, and then once again, that bottle is what, 40 bucks? You know what I mean? 45 or 50? 45.50. I don't think anything under 50, that's a win.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, this I don't think this is available yet in Wisconsin. I can't I keep getting asked by my stores. Like, I haven't seen that it's gonna be available in Wisconsin.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I haven't seen it yet. Once again, Illinois. Illinois gets all the good shit. Well, we're closer to we're close enough, uh Milwaukee's close enough to to northern Illinois, to that Chicagoland market. Right? Because you get down to Southern Illinois, it's a little different story. But Chicago area gets just so much stuff. And then you look at like places like Benny's and and then the mom and pop shops, like it they got it rolling. Yep. You think do you think that's the most uh on your routes right now? Is that what you get asked about most? Is Sazerek foolproof?

SPEAKER_01

Oh, other than standard B tag. Yeah, the I Right. Yeah, that's probably it the most readily available thing is that I think people are starting to see Buffalo Trace more readily available on the shelf, uh, which is good for most people.

SPEAKER_00

What are your thoughts? Like, so on top of that, like we'd look at Sazerac trying like a barrel strength foolproof that like we're drinking right now, and then you see like uh Taylor Small Batch and Weller Special Reserve. Uh, we were just even in Illinois, um, they rolled out like a couple cases and just set out of those offerings. What do you think that means for the market? And like Goldneagle, it was gold eagle. Uh, there was actually some a couple bottles of special reserve and small batch. I was surprised. And they had put them up online at two o'clock and then by like two thirty I think they were gone.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, okay. Let's see half hour, man.

SPEAKER_00

That's so I passed I passed on all of them. Like it just because we have them and have enough open that I don't need to be buying those bottles.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, special reserve would be a mixer for me if I was to get it.

SPEAKER_00

Right. Right.

unknown

Right.

SPEAKER_01

I'm not drinking that straight. Uh I think all that stuff's gonna become more readily available 'cause they're they have the juice to do it, and that's why everybody keeps I mean, revisiting the Bubble Bus podcast and closing down I mean MGP just closed down Lux Rose production.

SPEAKER_00

What do you think of that? Like it's a it's a sad day.

SPEAKER_01

I don't I don't think they bought Lux Row for their production of whiskey anyway. Okay. I think they were using it as their bottling and as their distribution center more than they were. Because they've I mean Lux Row wasn't putting shit out anyway. They were sourced, most of their good stuff was sourced.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I was gonna say I thought they were sourcing, so that's so even to know they were just shutting that down. Um so what like uh with Buffalo Trace and SAS putting all that stuff out, how do you think that affects MGP? And we've talked about a little bit, like their sourcing and like they're shutting down Lux Row. Like what's their what do you think would ideally be their path, in your opinion?

SPEAKER_01

Ideally for them?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Like what are they thinking or what should be like what do you think they like because I know you're an MGP guy and I'm like just getting into that world, so like where do you think it goes?

SPEAKER_01

I think they're struggling. I know they've gone down quite a bit because they don't have the sourcing business they used to have. Yeah. Uh nobody's buying four-year-old MGP anymore. Got it. Because you can get a barrel of 12-year-old for what you used to pay for a four-year-old.

SPEAKER_00

That's so that's something else I want to ask you about too, is like with MGP and and I feel like I'm hearing about more contract distillers. Like you hear Wilderness Trails doing a lot of the northern um NDPs and stuff. I hear I hear more and more about that. So like that has to be cutting in on MGP's pie. Absolutely.

SPEAKER_01

Plus, you get the you get the the shine of having Kentucky distilled on it versus the Indiana. Yeah. Indiana whiskey, so people like that aspect of it.

SPEAKER_00

Because even Barstown's like sourcing, you know what I mean? Like all that's going on. So it'll be interesting what they this this foolproof is really good to me. Yeah. Like this like if I come over to your house and you offer me this, knowing what the price of the bottle is, I'm not mad at you.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Right?

SPEAKER_01

So it's sometimes yes, smash for sure. Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Sometimes when people you go to the house, they they pull out a $40 bottle and you know it's a $40 bottle. Right, you know what I mean? Like this, I would be, oh, okay, this is nice.

SPEAKER_01

Yep.

SPEAKER_00

So what about you? Smash Pass. Definitely Smash. Yep.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I love this bottle. Uh next time I go down to Kentucky and go to I mean, maybe we go next weekend. They're not open on the weekend, that's a problem. I have to go during the week. Oh, uh what's uh the what's that? The employee bottles. The employee bottles. Yeah, they don't have employee purchasing on the weekends. Gotta get it. Gotta get it.

SPEAKER_00

Uh we're gonna be in town uh what, May 9th?

SPEAKER_01

Is that the weekend? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, May 9th. The weekend we're gonna be in Kentucky is May 9th.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, we're gonna be doing a podcast, the rival rival.

SPEAKER_00

Revival? What time is that gonna be? Where's it gonna be?

SPEAKER_01

We're actually doing two podcasts. Well, we need people to show up. Show out. Uh, we're gonna be doing one in the bar. Uh that'll be focused on dusty's. Perfect. And then we're gonna be doing one in the gift shop, which is gonna be focused on their picks.

SPEAKER_00

Are you bringing any dusties with you?

SPEAKER_01

I don't have any dusties to bring.

SPEAKER_00

I may have some. I'm gonna have to look.

SPEAKER_01

That Rock Hill's as dusty as I get.

SPEAKER_00

That to me, a nine-year-old Rock Hill, like that counts.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, I do have those beam decanters, but nobody really wants that. I think those are fun. They're alright.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's cool.

SPEAKER_01

Plus, I gotta put it in a mason jar after I get it out, or it's gonna turn into poo water after five days. Makes sense. That one I pulled out at the for my birthday party looks so dark now. You're excited. You're gonna you gotta shoot it. I'm just gonna pour it out. Down your throat? No. Pour it down your throat. I ain't drinking that. Man, it tastes like dirt water.

SPEAKER_00

Interesting. Interesting.

SPEAKER_01

I hear my children yelling at each other upstairs.

SPEAKER_00

I love it. We got the we got the puppy upstairs. The boys are running and gunning.

SPEAKER_01

And they all of a sudden just show up 20 minutes before Brandon gets here.

SPEAKER_00

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_00

Daddy's got work to do.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I've I've already got somebody coming over to do a podcast. I'm not texting anybody. And they're like, what is that? We're already two weeks behind.

SPEAKER_00

You know, like it I've I've raised a boy, and sometimes they don't really listen. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Not sometimes sometimes.

SPEAKER_00

I feel like sometimes my son looks at me like the only time you should ask me someone is if I what should I have to eat for dinner.

SPEAKER_01

My brother's comment from being around them last weekend is like, you got some work to do on their listening skills.

SPEAKER_00

My response a lot of times is I'm working on my own listening skills. I'm working on my own listening skills.

SPEAKER_01

I'm gonna say that mine are far above better than theirs at this point.

SPEAKER_00

But you're further on your journey. They're just beginning. It's true. They're just beginning their listening journey.

SPEAKER_01

This dude cupping his shoulders? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Cupping the backs and the cupping the bags, gotta loosen those lats.

SPEAKER_01

Looks like he's got a couple of hickeys on his shoulder. That's a wide-mouth bitch.

SPEAKER_00

That's a real sucker right there. That's that thing.

SPEAKER_01

Sucker right there.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. But San Antonio on the road, up 15, five to go in the fourth.

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_00

SPEAKER_01

SPEAKER_00

No, I just appreciate you. Like always be open to trying those new things and get out and explore, right? There's always something new out there. And I I appreciate you guys.

SPEAKER_01
