When you put up with someone, it means that, even though they are annoying, you try to still be nice to them, and you try to still work with them if you're working with them. Sometimes, you will have this with young children. Sometimes, young children complain a lot, and they get upset, and it's just a situation where you just need to put up with them. You just have to be patient. You just have to be kind, and even though they might be really upset about something, maybe they want candy, and when you don't give it to them, they start to cry and yell. At that point in time, you just have to put up with them.
So to review the first phrase to put something behind you simply means to forget about something in the past or to not think about it anymore, and to put up with someone means that you are just patient and kind with them, even though they might be a little bit annoying.

So let's talk a little bit about buying things in English. First of all, do you wanna see my boots again? I went to a store called Canadian Tire, which actually sells a lot more than just tires, to look for a new pair of winter boots, and I was happy because when I got to the aisle where they had boots, there were two pairs of boots that were on sale, and they were both 50% off. They were both $100 on sale for $50. So I was really excited. The first pair, though, I tried. I like to buy a size 10. My feet are size nine, but when I buy winter boots, I like to buy one size bigger so that I can wear bigger socks or double socks in the winter. So the first pair I tried on, they only had size nine and size 11. They didn't have it in my size. They didn't have that boot in my size. So I was a little bit disappointed, but then I checked, and the other pair that was on sale, they actually had a size 10. I tried it on. I tried the other one on. I walked around the store for a little bit, just up and down the shoe aisle, and I decided that they were very comfortable and that I really liked them. So I was really happy because they were 50% off.

I was also happy that they still had a pair in my size because, in Canada, in December when winter boots go on sale, you have to get them quickly because people scoop them up really fast. Winter boots usually don't go on sale until about December, January, but when they do go on sale, you have to get a pair right away because they fly off the shelves. So I've used a bunch of phrases there to talk about buying boots.
I'm just really happy that I got new boots. My old boots actually have a hole in the top, and then snow gets on the top, and then when I go in the house, it melts, and then the inside of my boot gets all wet, and it's just not very pleasant.
