Dave Edelstein is the mind behind Better Than Be4, the website of Mindful Communication. He has had a varied career as soil scientist, environmental protection specialist, teacher, and community development worker. While in the Galapagos Islands, a surprise heart attack changed the course of his life. He now lives in Cuenca, Ecuador, with his wife, Yadira Brito.The turn to Mindful Communication came as Dave began to offer health and wellness coaching online. He learned that many people struggle to communicate with the most important people in their lives. This is because we focus too much on exchanging information, when what we want is intimacy and openness.
