When the Solar Plexus is clean, clear and balanced, it is a sign of personal power, confidence and inner strength. Today's episode is part of the Chakra Clip Series, where each week we will briefly discuss one of the seven main chakra energy centers. We'll talk about how each center affects us spiritually, mentally, physically and emotionally. When we nourish our chakras on a regular basis, check to see if they're aligned and in balance...the awesome result is overall well-being!  With concentrated awareness, it is easy to bring your chakras into alignment applying the elements of color, intention, visualization, or meditation. We can even add crystals or sound therapy and other healing techniques. All of which I cover in the “Align Your Chakras” course​ that we'll talk about later. 

Today's episode is about the solar plexus chakra. It is located​ above the abdomen where your ribs come together. This is often identified as the third chakra. Its ancient Sanskrit name is Manipura. It's the chakra that is our main power center. As with our opening quote, “when the solar plexus is clear and balanced, it is a sign of personal power, confidence and inner strength.” It's important to know that on the flip side, when this chakra is imbalanced, it's easy to feel unlovable, worried, unworthy, and to rely on other people's opinions rather than your own. The Sacral Chakra resonates with the sunny color of yellow. So, a simple activity to align with it is to visualize a beautiful, bright, shining ball of sunlight centered where your ribs come together and in your higher abdomen. Visualize this warm glowing ball of sunlight growing and circling front to back, left to right. It's glowing brightly and you feel the warmth and a nice healthy glow. Using your imagination clear out toxins, negativity or any debris. Sometimes these appear behind your closed eyelids as little dark violet, black specks against the bright sunny yellow. 

Take a few minutes to visualize this beautiful bright sunny glow. Let it circle your entire upper stomach. You can visualize this bright yellow with the orange around your navel and the apple red light of your root chakra below it. replicating a fire within you with a red base, an orange middle and yellow tips. Imagine this as you listen to the relaxation music by Kevin McClean. As you continue to visualize a clear, clean, bright, yellow third chakra, feel the empowerment coming from deep within you feel it grow and spring up out of your solar plexus as our main power center, it represents our freewill, personal power, confidence, courage and strength. It's the ability to shine our light and live our true purpose, serving others, that all resides within the third chakra: self-mastery, self-discipline, determination, freewill and emotional balance as well as self-esteem. All the while expressing joy with knowing that we have the freedom to be all that we are meant to be. When you feel that joy and that power, you know that your solar plexus is in alignment. The gemstones of Citrine and Tiger's Eye are also associated with the third chakra and can help with the harmony. Continue to apply the color yellow visualization around where your ribs meet and your upper abdomen. This yellow is pure and shining and you feel its warmth and will align this chakra, as well as, the musical note of E which vibrates with the solar plexus. It can also add to your visualization and issues like self-worth, or physical issues with the lower back, stomach, liver, spleen, and the overall digestive system which are part of the solar plexus influence. When the solar plexus chakra is balanced, you feel inspired and empowered to achieve your goals, dreams and desires.
