Have you ever noticed that one side of your hair is easier to style or work with than the other side? This is certainly true for me. And especially during adolescence, it was a cause of great frustration. But now I realize that my hair is an excellent example of the two energies of male and female, or Yin and Yang. Perhaps you've noticed that I now have a practical asymmetrical hairstyle that is extremely easy to take care of: a chin length bob on my left feminine side, and a short men's cut on my right male side. (If you were thinking that my unmanageable side is the men's cut side, you'd be correct.)  But my theme today is not my hair, or hairstyles, but rather to enter into a guided meditation or visualization to bring our two energies into a single alignment... to balance the yin and the yang, to align the moon female energies and the sun male energies.

So, let's address these two divine energies within our single physical body.

Relaxing as the music begins to play...remove all distractions, allowing your eyes to gently close. Breathe in through the nose and out from the mouth. Breathe in relaxation 2,3,4 breathe out worry and stress 2,3,4.  Let your shoulders drop and your entire body relax like a rag doll breathing in 2,3,4 and breathing out all worry and stress 2,3,4 breathing naturally and rhythmically. Now in your imagination, pretend that you are breathing in fresh, clean air. Breathe in fresh, clean air. imagining that you're using the soles of your feet to breathe it in. Breathe it in and let this fresh energy travel up through the soles of your feet throughout your entire feet...into each toe. Let it circle around your ankles...calves up into the knees. Feel it clean and clear those areas. Left, right, front back, side to side, imagining it lighting up your body and tingling as it travels. reaching up to your thighs and hips. base of the spine, abdomen and waistline. Now up further up and around the rib cage, the lungs and the neck. The fresh clean air travels around each shoulder down each elbow, into each hand... into every finger tingling, cleaning, warming as it travels. Still breathing up from your feet pull even more defined fresh air up into your body, up to your throat, gently rotating your shoulders forward and then rotating them in circles back. Rolling, shoulders forward 2,3,4 and then rolling shoulders back... 2,3,4 repeat this as many times as comfortable getting rid of all stress and anxiety that might still be laying in your upper body. Breathing naturally...take your time. As you are relaxing deeper and deeper. Turn your head to the left and visualize a big luminescent, full moon. See it in your mind's eye, your imagination, shining brightly breathe in through your mouth this time and swallow the moonbeams. Swallow the moon beam sweet energy... feel it smoothly traveling down your throat into your heart space, circle around and feel it expand and cover the entire left side of your body. Cleaning, clearing and lighting it up in beautiful feminine moonlight. Feel it? Next face forward and breathe out from your nose any negativity, toxins or the debris. As we continue to face forward, we are consciously breathing out any wounded female energy watching it fall like rain on to the ground to be recycled by Mother Earth, releasing low self-worth, bending boundaries, clinging behavior, manipulating and unhealthy dependency, as well as, other wounded female characteristics. Releasing it gently... release these all into the ground. When you're ready, draw an imaginary cross for closure. Relax, relax deeper and deeper breathing normally and rhythmically. Now turn your head to the right...visualizing a beautiful glowing sun in your mind's eye or imagination. Feel sunrays streaming brightly down onto your face. See the space behind your closed eyelids begin to glow with sunlight. With your head still turned to the right breathe in through your mouth and swallow the bright, warm sunshine. Feel it travel down your throat into your heart space. Next, feel it turn and expand more and more until it covers the right side of your body. Front and back...cleaning and clearing as it fills every corner of that entire side of your body with bright sunlight, male energy. Next, face forward and consciously breathe out from your nose, any negativity as well as any wounded male energy. Watch it fall like rain into the ground to be recycled by Mother Earth. Releasing aggressive controlling behavior, releasing being overall critical, fear of failure, emotional detachment and any other wounded male characteristics. Continue to release these all into the ground. And when you're ready, draw a cross for closure as you breathe easily and normally. Take an informal inventory of how your body feels. Is it balanced? If you need a little more divine feminine moon energy, breathe that in through your mouth. Or do you need more divine male sun energy? Absorb that through your mouth instead, until you feel aligned and balanced. You can use this breathing exercise as often as needed to call in the yin and the yang. To call in balance! To call in the Divine Feminine moon. To call in the sun and the Divine Male energy. To call in two energies into one body! Call it into existence. “Call IT in with Dar”!
